Red Shell

A Para Shell (also called Paratroopa Shell, or even Parashell) is a winged Red Shell. It's a rare item, that turns Mario or his wearer into Para Shell Mario, alowed him to slide when running enough fast, killing the enemies and breaking Bricks Blocks. While sliding, Para Shell Mario also can fly during a short instant, as the Feather allows. The item first appears in Koopa Kart: Double Trouble!! and Super Mario Evolution. It is later introduced to Mario Kart in Mario Kart Insanity, where it acts similar to the Blue Spiny Shell, except it targets the nearest racer ahead of the user, similar to the Red Shell.

Koopa Kart series

The Paratroopa Shell is Paratroopa's Special Item in Koopa Kart: Double Trouble!!, with Koopa Troopa's counterpart being the Green Paratroopa Shell. It can be obtained from 4th to 8th place. When used, it will act like a Blue Spiny Shell, except it will target the nearest racer ahead of the user similar to a Red Shell. It also appears as the icon for the Paratroopa Shell Cup, the Koopa Kart equivalent to the Shell Cup.
