Trivia
- Oddly enough, Pansear is the only official Pokémon that evolves via a Fire Stone and doesn't originate from the first Generation.
Origin
Pansear is based on a combination of a monkey and a flame.
Pansage, Pansear and Panpour collectively might be based on the three wise moneys. Pansear itself might represent "hear no evil".
Name Origin
Pansage is a combination of Pan, the genus of chimpanzees, and to sear, to scorch. It is likely a play on the term "pan searing"
The name Baoppu is a combination of either 爆 bào (Chinese for burst/explode) or バースト bāsuto (burst), and ape.
