    Trivia

    • While this game is based on the Super Smash Bros. series, many of the features are inspired by King of Fighters and Tekken.
      • The fighters' movesets have been reused in this game, but some of them have been changed.
    • Like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's World of Light, this game features a main character who is not led by anyone else, in this case Pyra. In contrast to World of Light, this game's story mode will feature three main characters (Pyra, Sonic and Nergigante).
      • Due to the crossover of Nintendo games, this game may be the spiritual successor of Super Smash Bros. games.
    • At first, this game will be set in an alternate timeline. Pneuma does not destroy the World Tree, but this game will keep the main timeline in order to fit in the game as Pyra and Mythra reunite as one individual Bladedue to the Gearix Army's invasion.
      • However, Rex did not appear again after the prologue cutscene until the ending cutscene.
