Nintendo Soundboard is a Nintendo Labo rhythm party game by AM Studios for Nintendo Switch, using various Toy-Con from existing kits, as well as new Toy-Con and peripherals. The game comes in various bundles; most include the required materials, and, optionally, additional supplies, such as extra Joy-Con. Most bundles come with at least one microphone accessory, which is attached over the Joy-Con (R)'s infrared sensor.

Gameplay[]

Players are able to choose instruments and perform music from various Nintendo games and series. All players watch their section of a split-screen on the television to see what to play. After the song ends, each player and the group as a whole are given a score.

Some songs feature solos, in which one player has the chance to improvise. This works similarly to the Jam Mode in Wii Music, in which the soloist is not graded for their performance (unless they do not play for several measures). Instead of showing what to play, the soloist's section of the split-screen may instead display reference material to serve as the foundation for the solo. For instance, a wind instrument soloist might be shown the fingerings for the chord tones in the current chord.

HD Rumble is heavily utilized as feedback for each player. There are both subtle effects, to simulate the vibration of a real instrument, and intense ones, to indicate missed notes. Additionally, just before a song begins, any player can use a tuner feature to play the root of the upcoming key.

The game also contains a side mode where single players can view, edit, and create music in both sheet music and DAW interfaces.
