Nicolette "Nico" van Reinherd is a protagonist in Chronicles of Eredità and Chronicles of Eredità II. He is a member of Sector XIII and the son of the vice-chairmn Achilles Inc., one of Ordeos' biggest AEGIS development companies.

Appearance[]
Nico is a young man with a slightly muscular but thin build and tan skin, he has strawberry blonde colored hair and bright turquoise eyes. His hair is a bit messy and he tends to style it differently than normal boys of his age do.
In Chronicles of Eredità, he wears the standard Academia uniform with an accessorized collar pin that serves as his AEGIS unit, he also wears gloves and attaches a thin hanging chain around his pants to store his weapons when they're idle.
Personality[]
Nico is a jolly young man who despite of his social standing, is humble and down to earth. He is described to be a quirky person who is often aloof, he sometimes lacks a sense of logic. Despite his lack of knowledge, Nico makes up with a selfless and friendly attitude. He is usually the one who approaches first and does not shy away from strangers. However, he is also someone who easily gets flustered especially in the presence of someone he admires, often stuttering and blushing profusely.
Background[]
Nico's family is a story of rags-to-riches; before he was born, Nico's father, Alexander, was a coal miner for an AEGIS company and had little money to provide for his family along with Nico's uncle, Adonis. The two men were first just lowly workers but eventually worked their way up to corporate jobs.
When the Achilles Inc. was just a side stall in the market, Nico was still a child. It was only then when he was a bit older he saw his father and uncle's company grow into the multi-million crescent corporation it is now.
Upon reaching the age of eighteen, Nico was expected to be one of the heirs to the company but the problem was he was not interested in any of that. He was also bothered by his father starting to put his company over the family, wanting Nico to succeed him in the future. Nico wanted something else, he wanted to carve his own path in life. Seeing that he was skilled in martial arts and dance due to the various lessons he received as a child. He saw the opportunity to enroll in the Academia, Ordeos' mercenary academy, as Achilles Inc. was one of the school's sponsors. His father was reluctant about enrolling him there but was complacent after, expecting Nico to be more prepared for taking over the company but not knowing of Nico's personal plans.
Abilities[]
Nico is a fighter-type character who is skilled in hand-to-hand combat. As a child, Nico was able to receive martial arts lessons along with lessons in dancing. Although these were just for fun, Nico used the knowledge and skills he gained from these lessons and incorporates it in the way he fights.
Weapon[]
The twin chakrams (hoop-shaped weapons) called Terpsichore are Nico's weapons in combat. The chakrams were a prototype model developed by Achilles Inc. in a venture to develop weapons. They are a pair of versatile weapons that can serve as a form of brassknuckles for hand-to-hand combat and as throwing weapons that return to the user when thrown. The weapons are also magnetically designed which enables them to function like boomerangs when thrown, release electric charges, or when combined with the user's mana, releasing stored up magnetic energy and turning it into a strong physical force powerful enough to fissure a small portion of the ground.
Fighting Style[]
In combat, Nico is a fighter-type character who is proficient in close combat. He uses his chakrams as melee weapons and throwing weapons, he can also use them to electrically shock his opponents. Nico is a character that uses less mana when utilizing his skills, albeit his poor defense.

- Nicolette is a French name that means 'people of victory', however the nickname "Nico" is derived from the Greek goddess of victory, Nike.
- Reinherd is a variant of the surname Reinhard which means 'strong judgment'.
