Neo is a game console by N Studios. It is very powerful and introduces new ways of gameplay with the Neo Gamepad, taking inspiration from Nintendo's Wii U.

Features

Neo Gamepad

The sleek Neo Gamepad is able to fit the needs of games with traditional controls, including dual analog sticks, a D-Pad, four main buttons, and L and R triggers, while also providing the innovative touch screen in the center without hindering how comfortable the gamepad itself feels. It comes with a stylus that can be stored in the controller for precision interaction.

With the Neo Gamepad, you can also play select Neo and all Bluevolt games without the use of a TV. The streaming of game content wirelessly to the Gamepad does not take extra battery power or drop the framerate one is used to seeing on the television. No TV Play can also be used with Neo multiplayer games, eliminating the split-screen mechanic.

Up to 4 Neo Gamepads can be synced to the console at once.

Portable Neo

Portable Neo

Portable Neo allows for use of the Gamepad as a portable system. With a connection to the internet, the Gamepad can connect to a user's Neo Home account. If the user opens a game, that user's Neo console (which the Gamepad is paired to) will turn itself on and stream the game over the internet to the screen on the Gamepad. This is quite taxing on the Gamepad's battery, however.

Trivia

  • Originally, the Neo was supposed to be the Bluevolt Neo, another update to the Bluevolt console line. However, it was instead decided that the Neo become an entirely new system to match the Nextablet being the second of the NextGen Solo handheld line.
  • Although New Super Mario Bros. N was named after the Neo and was also a launch title, it was also released for the Wii U and Pro Gamer when they came out.
  • Following N Studios acquiring NextGen Solo, the boxart was updated and Shift Online functionality was disabled, as N Studios did not wish to acquire NextGen Solo's online service.
