Militant is a post-apocalyptic real-time strategy game in which the player takes control of a group of four that banded together a year after the Yellowstone Supervolcano erupted. The goal of the game is to reestablish the United States.

Gameplay

The gameplay of Militant is split up into several phases, each one having different game mechanics and styles. Therefore, this section will be split up into several subsections corresponding to each gameplay phase.

Phase 1: The First Three Hundred

The first phase, as the name suggests, involves the recruiting and management of the first three hundred members of the player's tribe.

In this phase, the player is first tasked with having the tribe survive the first week in the tribe's base (usually an abandoned house). Then, the player will attempt to expand the tribe's territory out of its base while fighting off looters and recruiting new members.

As the tribe grows in both area and population, the player will unlock more options and events, such as the ability to form squads. Either when the tribe has reached 300 members or conquered 70 square miles of land the game will move on to the next phase.
