A Mighnastun
Mighnastun are a species in the Boundless Fantendoverse, easily identifiable as one of several silicon-based forms of life they're generally compared to lodestones due to their magnetic abilities and rounded appearance with ferrous rich fur and hair covering their body.
Appearance[]
Mighnastun are a large humanoid species in the Fantendoverse, standing slightly above 2m tall as adults. Their bodies are often extremely dark although if they're scratched or take chip damage the wounds can heal back as a silvery-white colour. Their bodies are for the most part very smooth which seems to be something Mighnastun take great pride in as it distinguishes them from other silicon-based life.
Their heads are generally tear-drop shaped although some have a pointed tip at their chin as well giving them a lemon on its side sort of shape. They tend to have hair protruding from the tip of their head often in long ponytails, this hair along with the fur that covers parts of their body is extremely rich in iron and can have anywhere from a dusty red to jet black colouration. The fur patterns of Mighnastun varies between the sexes as men tend to have their fur centralized around their core while women tend to have their fur focused around their extremities.
The species has fairly long limbs with their legs accounting for almost two-thirds of their total height. They have long claw-like fingers which despite their rigid appearance are quite dextrous. Their digits have bony ridges which extend up their limbs to the wrists of their hands and the mid-shin of their legs.
Culture[]
Mighnastun are a fairly regular space-faring species, they generally try to avoid outright conflict like most although there have been several historical wars between them and other species mainly over control of star systems that overlapped in their territories of control. The Mighnastun are generally more well-known however for their fashion, the dominant culture that prevailed within the Mighnastun homeworld at the time of their ascent into becoming a space-faring species was one where smoothness and shape became extremely prominent aspects of one's presentation to others, as a result many of the first encounters with Mighnastun by other species was them offering their services as stylists in particular barbers and tailors.
In the present day, the Mighnastun are one of the founding species of the Galactic Runway a biennial fashion event where thousands of professional designers and models present their designs in hopes of being picked up by the larger named brands. Surprisingly it has only been recently that an upsurge in Mighnastun presence in the jewellery industry has appeared, spear-headed by Dhayin this movement initially started out as a complimentary to various tailors designs for their clothing but has gradually shifted into its own force and is currently the dominant pop culture phase within the species.
History in the Fantendoverse[]
The Mighnastun have been a fairly significant species in the Fantendoverse as their sense of fashion has influenced other species across the galaxy, as there is no strong sense of staying with one's family, the Mighnastun are also one of the more spread out races with it not being unheard of to find Mighnastuns in every quadrant of the galaxy. In terms of military history, the Mighnastun have a fairly minor appearance in history, the most notable conflict would be against the Gurcators over the rare Tidmana system which had become notorious for Tidmana II a planet comprised entirely of diamonds. The Mighnastun ended up losing the conflict although the Gurcator Generals have seemed to back-off from further escalating tensions as Tidmana II was their primary goal.
