Mewtwo is an unlockable playable character in Super Smash Bros. Calamity. Mewtwo is a Psychic-type Legendary Pokémon who is Pokémon #150 in the Generation I Pokédex, the final Pokémon in the list and a genetically mutated clone of Mew, created by scientists after the gene splicing experiments using Mew's DNA.

Changes

Notice Has a new taunt, which is its standard taunt, floating from the ground and releases a dark burst of energy seconds after it floats from the ground, opening its eyes afterward.

Notice New on-screen appearance which now matches its Project M on-screen appearance.

Notice Mewtwo's jab was changed.

Nerf Mewtwo loses its looping jab.

Down tilt Tail sweep Mewtwo does a tail sweep similar to its side tilt, but while crouching. 8%
Down smash Dark burst eruption Mewtwo points diagonally down to the ground, creating a dark burst eruption on the ground. Uncharged, 16% Charged, 17%-28%
Dash attack Dashing palm thrust Mewtwo does a palm thrust forward, creating a burst of dark energy. 14%

Up throw Telekinetic up toss Mewtwo telekinetically spins the opponent around it before tossing them upwards. 11%
Down throw Telekinetic slam Mewtwo telekinetically slams the opponent on the ground. 10%
Special attacks

Neutral special Shadow Ball Similar to Lucario, Mewtwo charges up a dark energy ball and when the special button is pressed, will launch it forward. When fully charged, Mewtwo will stop charging and when the special button is pressed, Mewtwo tosses the ball instantly. Can be roll cancelled to keep the charge. 4% (no charge), 7% (little charge), 9% (medium charge), 15% (full charge)
Side special Confusion Mewtwo swipes forward, creating a ripple of energy forward. If the opponent is caught in the ripple, it will spin them in place and cause them to start tumbling. Can follow up into a forward smash. The ripple can also reflect projectiles. Has a six second cooldown. 9%
Up special Teleport Mewtwo teleports to a different location. 0%
Down special Disable Mewtwo creates a psychic energy spark forward. Anyone who is on the ground and facing the psychic spark will be stunned. If they are facing away from it or in the air, they will not get harmed in any way. Has a ten second cooldown. 1%
Final Smash Psystrike Mewtwo Mega Evolves into Mega Mewtwo Y and performs Psystrike, its signature move in the Pokémon games, throwing an energy ball that goes through walls and stuns opponents who touch it, before launching them with a mind-shattering blow. 30%

Miscellaneous

Animation Description
On-screen appearance Mewtwo teleports on stage, emitting its cry in the Pokémon games.
Idle animation Mewtwo draws its arms towards itself and strikes a pose.
Side taunt Mewtwo surrounds itself in a flame-like aura of dark energy, similarly to Lucario's up taunt.
Standard taunt Mewtwo closes its eyes and starts floating from the ground, releasing a dark burst of energy as it suddenly opens its eyes.
Down taunt Mewtwo's eyes shine briefly before it turns to face screen. While facing the screen, it thrusts its arm forward to emit a small spark of dark energy.
Up taunt Mewtwo closes its eyes and folds its arms as it telekinetically spins around on the spot while laughing ominously.
Victory pose #1 Mewtwo turns its back to the screen and looks back over its shoulder, saying "Hmm...".
Victory pose #2 Mewtwo thrusts its hand forward, emits dark energy from its body, and growls..
Victory pose #3 Mewtwo spins once and then poses while laughing ominously and emitting a flame-like aura of dark energy around itself.
