Meta Knight (メタナイト, Meta Knight) is a playable veteran in Super Smash Bros. Universe. His return to the series was confirmed at the October 9th, 2017 Nintendo Direct along with Bandana Dee. Eric Newsome and Atsushi Kisa'ichi reprise their roles as the English and Japanese voice actors respectively, having newer voice clips for Meta Knight.
Meta Knight has been altered to be much more balanced with the rest of the cast. He has some new moves to hone in on his origins and recent appearances to the Smash Bros series.
Changes[]
- Meta Knight goes back to his more "classical" design, being much more colorful and simplistic.
- Meta Knight's sword now emits a firey aura sometimes. This is a nod to how his word flames up in this official artwork.
- Meta Knight can now Glide.
- Down Air attack has changed. Meta Knight now dives downwards with his sword below him.
- Mach Tornado now has a final hit, where Meta Knight slashes at the end of the move.
