The Old Boards[]
The updated list of boards
Differences from the original games[]
General Changes[]
- The Mario Party 4 boards no longer feature the following:
- Pathways and spaces that float above the floor of the area set within them.
- Warp Spaces as they are now replaced with Lucky Spaces.
- Item Minigames being restricted to the usage of Mini Mushrooms or Mega Mushrooms.
- The Lottery System in the Mario Party 4 boards is now hosted by Koopa Troopa, who now brings out the player who's most likely to win to stop the roulette arrow on the picture.
Waluigi's Island[]
- The dynamite island has King Bob-omb sitting in on the timer.
- There is now a third Koopa Bank on the bottom left island.
- The board is set during the nighttime with fireworks in the sky.
- Like Woody Woods, there are no Game Guy spaces present, the spots they originally were being replaced with Lucky Spaces.
- Like Woody Woods, the gates function more like the gates in Space Land and Horror Land; specifically, they are located directly on their corresponding junctions, and as such, their directions can only be taken if the player has a Skeleton Key.
Goomba's Greedy Gala[]
- The board is now set within a casino full of Goombas instead of a box with a Goomba imprinted on the walls.
- Landing on Happening Spaces can alter the price of a Star, the prices ranging from 20, 50 and 80.
Bowser's Gnarly Party[]
- The board is now set within a large amusement park akin to the likeness of Bowser instead of a box filled with lava, statues and Bowser's face imprinted on the walls.
- Following this change, Bowser Jr. hosts this board with the following explanations:
- "You better watch your steps dudes, this place is pretty rough, best thing is, I built it! Actually that last part isn't entirely true, someone who looked just like me, probably not as handsome, built this very site for my dad to celebrate his awesomeness. Someone on their birthday went to it and won whatever challenge was set up, but today, I changed that by better suiting what my dad loves!
- Like I said, watch your steps and you'll be A-Okay on whatever day your birthday is!"
- "But just to be safe than sorry, I'll be your guide!"
- "Make sure to say hi to my dad when he comes! He might provide something great for you!"
- "Now get out there before I die from boredom!"
- A new feature given to the board is Bowser Time. After each turn, a special gauge representing Bowser's head appears on the screen to tell the player when that time comes; the meter fills up every turn. When the gauge is filled, Bowser Time is initiated. During this special event, Bowser comes to the board and causes trouble in various ways such as starting a parade, destroying the two stone bridges, and turning Lucky Spaces into Bowser Spaces.
- Following this change, Bowser Jr. hosts this board with the following explanations:
Added Board Play Options[]
- Team Match: The four players a pit into two teams of two, both players in each of the two teams sharing the same Coins, Stars and Items, whilst moving separately from each other. Only 2 VS 2 minigames are played in this mode.

- Eight Extravaganza: Eight players are pitted into teams of four teams of two, both players in teach of the four teams sharing the same Coins, Stars and Items whilst moving together and sharing the same dice roll. Only the 8-Player minigames from Mario Party 7 are played in this mode.
