New Features[]
- Wings - Allows the player to fly through the air for a maximum of 10 seconds. The time can be restored by boosting either manually via a Mushroom or by air boosting, which occurs when the player passes through a gap, such as hula hoops or by hitting items, such as flags in 3DS Wario Galleon. However, drifting is unavailable in the air.
- Double Dash - Double Dash was a mode introduced in the fourth Mario Kart game - Mario Kart: Double Dash. In this new installment, a new feature has been added to this mode. In certain sections of some of the tracks, a double path is available. This double path will split the two racers into separate vehicles and make them take two separate paths. At the end of the section, the pair must join up. If they haven't joined up, the first character will be stopped before the section ends, to allow the other character to join up. The joining up will take a lot of strategy and skill.
- Rotor Blades - Some sections of the tracks now include helipad sections, which equip the player with rotor blades. For these sections, the vehicle will then fly in a certain direction, with the camera being tilted. During this mode, the speed of the vehicle will be temporarily fixed, as drifting cannot be used, however it will move much faster in this form, and spin boosts and manual boosts can still occur. During this section, the player must dodge obstacles. Once the section has ended, the player will return to normal speed, but they can get a boost when landing back on the track.
- Consecutive Trick Boosts – If the player performs a number of tricks in succession with each other, each trick will gradually increase the speed of the boost afterwards.
- Extra Coins - Players can now collect more than 10 Coins when playing through the tracks. However, just like before, only 10 affect the speed of the character.
- Item System - The player can now choose whether they want a 1 Item System or 2 Item System. However, Coins are more prominent when 2 Items are available, whereas Coins are less prominent in when only 1 Item is available.

Wii Daisy Circuit The course begins on the long straight it did in Mario Kart Wii. It then takes a right turn, where it twists around slightly. This section now has a boost panel, along with a trick ramp that jumps over the ledge. The player then turns right once again and ends up on a figure-8 style area. This area is very similar to its previous appearance other that the fact, that it contains some boost panels. The other path the player could take was the stairs, which still require a boost to get to. However, the ending of the stairs now leads into a gliding section, with the two statues of Luigi and Daisy and Baby Luigi and Baby Daisy containing trick panels to jump across. The player then has another choice of which way to go. Most players will have to go through the tunnel, which now is more twisted than before or if the combination of trick ramp jumps were successful, the player can drive along the roof of the tunnel that ends with a trick ramp, which lands outside the end of the tunnel. The section continues along the small straight before entering a flying section that removes the hairpin turn that went around the lighthouse. The gliding section will take the player onto the top of an island a little way out from the circuit, which slightly resembles the town from Daisy Hills. This section loops around a central tower, which has numerous trick jumps leading it downwards and then the final trick jump leads the player into an underwater section, which takes the player back to the main track. The track then follows the straightaway and the left turn, which returns the player to the finishing line. Time Trial: Baby Daisy |

U Cloudtop Cruise The race begins on a giant beanstalk, which leads onto a ramp and then onto a Bowser Balloon that acts similarly to the mushroom in Mushroom Gorge. The players continue to travel along the clouds before the path splits up into too, before landing upon the airship, which has been significantly damages, as the left side has drifted away from the right side slightly. The left path leads into an anti-gravity section upon the airship, which ends with a lower flying section, whereas the right path upon the airship begins with a small trick panel that leads into an immediate hole in the airship surface, which goes into the inside of the airship and into a flying section from a flying panel at the end of the airship’s inside section. The cannon section has been replaced by a flying-section, with the storm cloud containing some boost rings. The metal path now inverts downward, and instead of a glider section at the end, it is a helicopter section, where the player must dodge spare amps as they fly directly upwards, before landing on the question block which leads to the finishing line. SNES Vanilla Lake 2 (Note: The section in the middle is now a huge mountain-like structure made of ice). The track begins on a flat, icy surface, which immediately leads into an anti-gravity section on the outer edge. The player travels up the side of a mountain, before travelling back down and exiting the anti-gravity section. The player then swerves around a line of blocks, before heading into an underwater section, which encompasses the whole of the top-left corner of the track. After the underwater section, the player immediately enters a gliding section which then leads to a split path. The left path leads into another anti-gravity section, which leads the player along another mountainside but on the inner side of the course. This then leads up to an anti-gravity jump ramp, which jumps over another set of blocks, before climbing upwards and exiting the anti-gravity section. The right path first has a two layers of jump ramps, which lead into a helicopter section, which leads the player up and over an icy ledge. These then lead back to the finishing line. SNES Ghost Valley 3 The track begins very similarly to the original SNES version. After the first corner, there are a number of trick jumps, which take the player over the small gaps and cracks, and shortly after the second trick ramp, an anti-gravity section will happen. The next two corners, are inverted outwards and they also dip down slightly, they also contains a few gaps and cracks that they player must move around. They then lead the player onto two sections of anti-gravity jump ramps, which spin around due to the ghosts, these then lead onto two inward inverted corners before exiting the anti-gravity section. Immediately after this is another trick jump, and after the next two turns, an another anti-gravity section occurs, where is switches between left tilted, right tilted and left tilted bends with boost panels on or a brief sections of jump ramps, that lead to the final tilt. The final tilt then leads into an anti-gravity glider section. It then ends on an outward inverted corner, before returning back to normal level, which leads to the finishing line. ((Dragonia-themed Course)) | TR Clockwork Spiral The course begins under a natural bridge, which immediately leads onto a straight containing a clockwork wheel. The players must travel between the gaps as the wheel turns. The path continues along before entering an anti-gravity section which takes the player up onto the wall. The player then takes a left turn, which then leads onto another straightaway, which is to the side of the clockwork wheel. Along this straight, the player must travel through another small gap along the side of the turning wheel, before turning left and travelling along the side of the bridge. The player then takes another left before travelling along another straight path and through one of the gaps of the spinning wheel. The player then turns right and travels up another wall before exiting the anti-gravity section. The player then turns left and travels a short curvy path before entering a flying section, in which the player must fly through the holes in consecutive clockworks wheels, before landing on a horizontal clockwork wheel. The player must then loop around the huge clockwork wheel, which is going in the opposite direction to the player and contains many trick ramps. This then leads into a helicopter section, which takes the player to the highest path, which travels straight ahead, before turning right toward the clockwork wheel. The player must then travel over the top of the clockwork wheel, before looping around and back under the bridge, where the finishing line is. | 8 Birdo Circuit | U Sunshine Airport | GBA Lakeside Park | U Twisted Mansion |
