Mario Kart Wii is a racing game for the Nintendo Wii. It is not the sequel to the original game, but more of an expansion.

Mario Kart Wii: Turbo Edition plays just like the original Mario Kart Wii, but adds new features, game modes, characters and courses to the mix. Online play is now much more fleshed-out, and players can customize their controls. There are still 12 opponents racing at once, just like in the core Mario Kart Wii game.
