Mario Baseball: Triple Play!/Yoshi Islanders

Yoshi Islanders is a team in the Challenge Mode of Mario Baseball: Triple Play! that is headed by Yoshi. The Yoshi Islanders team is made up primarily of the baby characters that appeared in the Yoshi's Island titles, and the other babies that have been introduced in Mario spin-off titles since. In addition to having a number of infants, the team's roster is rounded out by a number of recurring enemies from the Yoshi series. In exhibition mode, the team can also be named Yoshi Eggs, Yoshi Wonder Wools, and Yoshi Eggdozers.

The "Yoshi Islanders" name is based on the recurring location of Yoshi's Island, which first debuted in Super Mario World and serves as the main setting of the Yoshi series. Similarly, the "Yoshi Eggs" team name is based on the Yoshi species' trademark ability to create eggs out of those they swallow. Yoshi's other two team names, "Yoshi Wonder Wools" and "Yoshi Eggdozers", both come from objects from the Yoshi series, specifically the Wonder Wools of Yoshi's Woolly World and the Eggdozers of Yoshi's New Island.

Yoshi

	Star Swing Star Pitch Egg Swing: Yoshi encases the ball within an egg before he hits it, causing it to bounce around wildly a few times before its shell cracks and releases it. Rainbow Ball: Yoshi creates a rainbow path for the ball to follow, though the baseball itself remains invisible until it gets close enough to the batter. Fielding Ability Tongue Catch: Instead of diving, Yoshi can use his long tongue to catch the baseball from a fair distance away.
Red Yoshi

Blue Yoshi
	This dino can run at speeds very few can match.

Yellow Yoshi
	This dino can run at speeds very few can match.
	Fielding Ability Tongue Catch: Instead of diving, Yoshi can use his long tongue to catch the baseball from a fair distance away.
Light Blue Yoshi
	This dino can run at speeds very few can match.
	Fielding Ability Tongue Catch: Instead of diving, Yoshi can use his long tongue to catch the baseball from a fair distance away.
Pink Yoshi
	This dino can run at speeds very few can match.
	Fielding Ability Tongue Catch: Instead of diving, Yoshi can use his long tongue to catch the baseball from a fair distance away.
Black Yoshi
	This dino can run at speeds very few can match.
	Fielding Ability Tongue Catch: Instead of diving, Yoshi can use his long tongue to catch the baseball from a fair distance away.
White Yoshi
	This dino can run at speeds very few can match.
	Fielding Ability Tongue Catch: Instead of diving, Yoshi can use his long tongue to catch the baseball from a fair distance away.
Baby Mario
	He's small and fast, and always ready to sneak onto a base.
	Running Ability Enlarge: Should Baby Mario win the Close Play, he will grow to an immense size and knock his opponent over, causing the ball to fly out of their grasp.
Baby Luigi
	This green guy's got the speed that any team needs.
	Fielding Ability Super Jump: Baby Luigi can jump higher than most others can while he's in the field, and does so at a fairly quick speed.
Baby Peach
	This infant's already on her way to becoming a star pitcher.
	Fielding Ability Quick Throw: Baby Peach can throw a ball immediately after she receives it, whereas others need a second to adjust their aim.
Baby Daisy
	Even as an infant, Sarasaland's princess knows how to excel in sports.
	Fielding Ability Super Dive: Baby Daisy is capable of sliding a much further distance when she dives to catch a falling baseball.
Baby DK
	This small Kong's already got the strength he needs to do what he needs to.
	Fielding Ability Clamber: Baby DK is capable of climbing up walls when in the field, and can jump off to catch a ball that otherwise might be rebound or be a home run.
Baby Wario
	Even as a baby, this guy's as greedy as ever.
	Fielding Ability Magnet Pull: Instead of diving, Baby Wario can use his magnet to retrieve the ball from afar.
Huffin' Puffin
	This speedy guy's got the strength to give and take a lot.
	Fielding Ability Ball Dash: When the Huffin' Puffin carries the ball, he runs at a tremendously high speed.
Crazee Dayzee
	This crazy flower's always relaxed and calm, so you can bet on her pitching.
	Fielding Ability Quick Throw: The Crazee Dayzee can throw a ball immediately after she receives it, whereas others need a second to adjust their aim.
Bandit
	This sneak may be a thief, but he becomes motivated when he's got the treasure he desires.
	Fielding Ability Ball Dash: When the Bandit carries the ball, he runs at a tremendously high speed.
Pak E. Derm
	Pak E. Derm always knows when he's reached his limit. Luckily that doesn't come quickly.
	Fielding Ability Sign Stop: Instead of performing a tackle, Pak E. Derm can hold up his sign to block the baseball should it fly high over him.
Don Bongo
	With drumming steps and rubber skin, Don Bongo's hits work in a pinch.
	Running Ability Enlarge: Should Don Bongo win the Close Play, he will grow to an immense size and knock his opponent over, causing the ball to fly out of their grasp.
