The Mage Tales series is a high fantasy, original action-advenutre video game series created by Amuza. The gameplay of the Mage Tales games is a mixture of The Legend of Zelda series and The Elder Scrolls series, consisting of a range of abilities including action, adventure, puzzle solving, role-playing, platforming and stealth.

The series follows Estell and Wulf who are the playable characters and heroes of the series, although their names can be customized. They are two mages who live in the realm of Ulisse, which they are often given the task of saving from the primary villain, Tooja who is known as the bearer of evil. Tooja is often seen creating schemes to overthrow the avatars.

Gameplay[]

Mage Tales games feature a mixture of puzzles, strategic action gameplay, and exploration that are found in The Legend of Zelda series and The Elder Scrolls series. The player is frequently rewarded for solving puzzles or exploring areas. Most Mage Tales games involve locating and exploring dungeons, in which puzzles are solved and enemies fought, then defeating the dungeon's boss.

Estell
- Estell is one of the playable characters. She was born conjoined at the head with her brother, Wulf. She has extreme amounts of power and can travel between dimensions. She is regarded as legendary in her town due to the appearance of tails, which only ones destined for greatness have tails.
Wulf
- Wulf is one of the playable characters. He was born conjoined at the head with his sister, Estell. He has extreme amounts of power and can travel between dimensions. He is regarded as legendary in his town due to the appearance of tails, which only ones destined for greatness have tails.
Tooja
- Tooja is the main antagonist and is the bearer of evil, also known as the symbol of evil, that all evil look upon. Tooja is created from the sorrows of the avatars, meaning the more the avatars are in sorrow, the more powerful Tooja will be.
