The Lakithunder Cloud is an item debuting in Koopa Kart 7 as a replacement for the Lightning Cloud from Koopa Kart Wii. Unlike the Thunder Cloud, which activates automatically upon being obtained, the player can choose when to activate the Lakithunder Cloud. The cloud will give the player a speed boost and strike any nearby opponent who tries to steal the cloud, shrinking them in the process. The item can be stolen if the player rams into the holder with a Super Star, Super Mega Mushroom, or Bullet Bill. The item will disappear after a while or when shot out of a cannon.
