Fantendo - Game Ideas & More

Koopa Kart Tour is a game made for mobile devices and PCs. Unlike Mario Kart Tour, it does not rely on microtransactions, and characters are unlocked by completing certain tasks. The game reuses assets from Koopa Kart Wii, Koopa Kart 7, and Koopa Kart 8, as well as returning gameplay mechanics such as special items.

Items[]

Items function mostly the same as in previous entries. As in Koopa Kart: Double Trouble!!, each character has a special item that only that character and a few others can use.

The game introduces fifteen new items: the Super Horn, Coin, Coin Box, Dry Bowser Shell, Ztar, Bubble, Ice Flower, Black Shell, Gold Shell, Mini Mushroom, Double Bob-omb, Bob-omb Cannon, Giga Bob-omb, Rain Cloud, and Snow Cloud, the first two of which are normal items while the remaining items are special items.

Fourteen items that have been absent from recent entries return in this game, which are the Feather from Super Koopa Kart, the POW Block, Mega Mushroom, and Lightning Cloud from Koopa Kart Wii, and the Green Paratroopa Shell, Paratroopa Shell, Heart, Spiny Shell, Buzzy Beetle Shell, Blue Shell, Yellow Shell, Bowser Shell, Giant Banana, and Chain Chomp from Koopa Kart: Double Trouble!!, the first four of which are normal items while the remaining ten are special items. Because of the Koopa Kart Wii items returning as normal items after their absence from Koopa Kart 7 and Koopa Kart 8, their replacements featured in those games (the Gold POW Block, Super Mega Mushroom, and Lakithunder Cloud) are upgraded versions of them and are special items.

Normal Items[]

Image Name Description Positions Obtained
Coin (New Item) For some reason, the Coin makes its Koopa Kart debut as an item. It will give you two coins, which will boost your acceleration and speed. 1st-3rd
Super Horn (New Item) New to the Koopa Kart series, the Super Horn is here to finally destroy the Blue Spiny Shell. It creates a soundwave that flips over other racers and can block items, though it can only be used once. 1st-3rd
Banana The Banana will spin you out if you even dare to hit one! You can defend yourself with this item. 1st-5th
Feather The Feather returns from Super Koopa Kart and will allow you to jump over pits and find shortcuts. You can also use this to jump over opponents and steal their balloons in Balloon Battle. 3rd-7th
Green Shell The Green Shell travels in a straight line and bounces off walls. It flips over any kart it hits. You can use this as a means of defense by holding it behind you. 1st-5th
Lightning The Lightning item will zap everyone except you, slowing them down and making them drop their items. If you're in last place, you will grow back almost instantly. However, if you're in first place, you will be small for a long time. 9th-12th
Mushroom The classic Mushroom gives you a speed boost that allows you to ignore off-road terrain that would normally slow you down. use this to make shortcuts. 2nd-8th
Red Shell The Red Shell automatically targets the kart in front of you, flipping it over unless it has a means of defense. 1st-8th
Star The Star gives you invincibility, allowing you to bowl over players and protect yourself from every single item. The effect lasts for 7.5 seconds. If you are hit, you will lose all items in your possession. 7th-12th
Fake Item Box The Fake Item Box looks like a real Item Box, except it has an upside down question mark. It will flip over players if they hit one. The Fake Item Box can block items and float in mid-air, though it will only defy gravity when dropped behind you, as it is affected by gravity when thrown forward. 1st-5th
Golden Mushroom The Golden Mushroom gives you infinite speed boosts for 7-8 seconds, allowing you to ignore off-road terrain and make huge shortcuts. 6th-12th
Triple Green Shell The Triple Green Shell deploys a line of three Green Shells behind your kart that can be used defensively or offensively. 2nd-5th
Triple Mushroom The Triple Mushroom gives you three speed boosts, though you can only use one speed boost at a time. This is your default item in Time Trial mode. 3rd-12th
Triple Red Shell The Triple Red Shell deploys a line of three Red Shells behind your kart that can be used defensively or offensively. 4th-8th
Triple Banana The Triple Banana creates a line of three Bananas that protects you from up to three items. 1st-3rd
Bob-omb The Bob-omb will count down before exploding, tossing any kart upwards and making it drop its items. It isn't a good idea to hold this behind you, because this means disaster for you! 2nd-6th
Blooper The Blooper will blind everyone in front of you and make their vehicles harder to control. You can remove the ink if you get a speed boost. 4th-9th
Bullet Bill The well-known Bullet Bill transforms you into a Bullet Bill, allowing you to autopilot the track and bowl over any players within your path. If you are hit, you will lose all items in your possession. 8th-12th
Lightning Cloud Remember this hot potato item from Koopa Kart Wii? The Lightning Cloud returns with its original function, though it can now be activated manually and lasts twice as long as it did in its previous appearance. 3rd-7th
Mega Mushroom The Mega Mushroom is back from Koopa Kart Wii with its original function, though giant drivers are now able to avoid Bullet Bills, and the racer grows more slowly, not being able to squash racers until the user has fully grown. 4th-8th
POW Block The POW Block returns from Koopa Kart Wii, and it's back to send a deadly earthquake to all racers ahead of the user. This bad boy now has the ability to destroy items on the track, and it can only be avoided if you are airborne. 5th-9th
Lucky Seven Returning from Koopa Kart 7, the Lucky Seven gives you seven items that line up behind your kart. You can use one item at a time and switch the order of which items you want to use by pressing up or down on the D-Pad. 5th-8th
Super Leaf The Super Leaf will spawn a tail on the back of your kart, allowing you to collect nearby Coins and flip nearby opponents. The tail acts automatically, and the range is decent. It will also free up an item slot when used. 1st-5th

Special Items[]

Image Name Description Positions Obtained
Poison Mushroom The Poison Mushroom will shrink you if you run into it, but if you run into it while you're already small, you will return to normal size. Only Goomba, Galoomba, and Dimentio can use this item. 2nd-5th
Quintuple Banana The Quintuple Banana creates a line of five Bananas that protects you from up to five items. Only Funky Kong can use this item. 1st-4th
Boo The Boo is back after his most recent appearance in Koopa Kart Wii to steal items from other racers. You will also become invisible and invincible if you're the user, allowing you to avoid items. Only King Boo can use this item. 5th-10th
Blue Spiny Shell The dreaded Blue Spiny Shell targets the racer in 1st place and dives onto it, tossing it upwards with an explosion. This item will fly much lower to the ground, hitting other players on its way to the 1st place racer. It will then take flight once it passes the 2nd place racer. Only Blue Spiny Koopa and Ludwig von Koopa can use this item. 4th-8th
Blue Shell The Blue Shell returns from Koopa Kart: Double Trouble!!, and it will freeze the player it hits, making them lose their items. It acts like a Red Shell. Only Koopa Kid and Larry Koopa can use this item. 5th-8th
Bowser Shell The humongous Bowser Shell will plow through anyone in its path, knocking them over and making them lose their items. Only Bowser, Bowsette, Koopa Kidette, and Bowser Jr. can use this item. 1st-6th
Buzzy Beetle Shell The Buzzy Beetle Shell targets the nearest racer ahead of the user similar to a Red Shell, except it releases three items that can either help you or harm you. Only Buzzy Beetle can use this item. 3rd-7th
Chain Chomp The Chain Chomp attaches himself to the front of your kart, allowing you to autopilot the track and bowl over any players within your path. This item is somewhat reckless, though, as he will move around erratically and possibly send you flying off the track. Only Monty Mole, Popple, and Iggy Koopa can use this item. 5th-10th
Giant Banana The Giant Banana will block every item except for Lightning and Blue Spiny Shells. Once hit, it will split into three smaller Bananas. Only Sumo Kong can use this item. 1st-4th
Green Paratroopa Shell Returning from Koopa Kart: Double Trouble!!, the Green Paratroopa Shell is basically a Blue Spiny Shell that targets a random racer similar to a Green Shell. Only Koopa Troopa can use this item. 2nd-5th
Heart The new Heart item provides you with a barrier that not only protects you from two item attacks, but allows you to pick up two items as well. Only Princess Sasha, Wendy O. Koopa, Wiggler, and Baby Sasha can use this item. 2nd-6th
Paratroopa Shell Returning from Koopa Kart: Double Trouble!!, the Paratroopa Shell is basically a Blue Spiny Shell that targets the nearest racer ahead of the user similar to a Red Shell. Only Paratroopa can use this item. 4th-8th
Spiny Shell The Spiny Shell targets the nearest racer ahead of the user similar to a Red Shell, except it releases three items that can either help you or harm you. Only Spiny can use this item. 3rd-7th
Yellow Shell The Yellow Shell is new, and it causes and earthquake that traps its target in the ground upon collision. It acts like a Red Shell. Only Doopliss can use this item. 4th-9th
Fire Flower The Fire Flower will allow you to throw one fireball at a time, which can potentially burn out nearby racers and faraway targets. You can only have three fireballs on the screen at a time, as throwing a fourth one will cause the first fireball thrown to disappear. The item will disappear ten seconds after you throw the first fireball. Otherwise, it will disappear after you throw ten fireballs. Only Fire Bro can use this item. 2nd-7th
Gold POW Block The Gold POW Block will send a soundwave to everyone in front of you that will flip them twice and make them drop their items in a way similar to that caused by a Bullet Bill after just under five seconds. Like in the previous installment, pressing the trick button will not work against this item, and you can use a cannon or a certain item to avoid the effects. This dangerous item can be avoided if you are in the air. Also, it destroys items on the track and causes parts of the track to collapse for each use. Only Dread Kong, Morton Koopa Jr., and Chargin' Chuck can use this item. 7th-10th
Lakithunder Cloud The Lakithunder Cloud gives you a speed boost, and if another racer tries to steal it, it will shrink them to a tiny size. If you want to steal this item from another player, you'll have to use a Star, Super Mega Mushroom, or Bullet Bill. This item also boosts your handling. Also, you will not lose the cloud if you use a cannon, allowing you to have fun with the item for longer, provided you don't come near too many racers. Only Lakithunder can use this item. 1st-4th
Super Mega Mushroom The Super Mega Mushroom grows your kart to a massive size, allowing you to flatten your opponents like a pancake. You are invincible to every item, and yes, that includes Stars, Lightning, and Bullet Bills. This item only boosts speed and off-road. Only Ninja Kong can use this item. 6th-10th
Boomerang Flower The Boomerang Flower allows you to throw a Boomerang, which can be thrown thrice before flying into the distance. Only Boomerang Bro can use this item. 3rd-7th
Hammer Flower The Hammer Flower acts like the Fire Flower, except it gives you hammers instead to flip over players. As with the Fire Flower, the Hammer Flower can be used until ten seconds after the first hammer is thrown or ten hammers are thrown. Only Hammer Bro can use this item. 4th-9th
Piranha Plant The Piranha Plant will attach himself to the front of your kart and bite the air, giving you a speed boost. He can also eat Bloopers. If he eats you, you will flip over and lose your items. Only Petey Piranha can use this item. 5th-9th
Black Shell (New Item) The Black Shell acts like the Green Shell, except it explodes upon contact with a player, blasting them into the air. Only Karate Kong and Lemmy Koopa can use this item. 3rd-5th
Bob-omb Cannon (New Item) The Bob-omb Cannon fires Bob-ombs that explode on contact with the ground and blast racers into the air. It will disappear after firing ten Bob-ombs. Only Waluigi and Roy Koopa can use this item. 4th-7th
Bubble (New Item) The Bubble encases you in a bubble and allows you to float for a short period of time. However, you won't be able to hurt other racers, and the bubble will pop if you get hit by an item, a certain amount of time passes by, or you pass a certain amount of racers or get into 1st place. Only Cheep Cheep can use this item. 3rd-8th
Coin Box (New Item) The Coin Box spews Coins onto the track, allowing you and other racers to collect them. Only Count Bleck can use this item. 2nd-8th
Double Bob-omb (New Item) The Double Bob-omb gives you two bob-ombs that trail behind the kart. You can use them one by one. Only Wario can use this item. 2nd-6th
Dry Bowser Shell (New Item) The humongous Dry Bowser Shell will plow through anyone in its path, knocking them over and making them lose their items. It can target up to five opponents before breaking. Only Dry Bowser, Parabones, and Dry Bones can use this item. 3rd-9th
Giga Bob-omb (New Item) The Giga Bob-omb bounces forward or backward for a few seconds before exploding, causing a huge explosion that blasts multiple racers into the air. Only King Bob-omb can use this item. 3rd-9th
Gold Shell (New Item) The Gold Shell acts like the Red Shell, except it targets up to three opponents before exploding, blasting the third target into the air. Only Pokey can use this item. 6th-9th
Ice Flower (New Item) The Ice Flower acts like the Fire Flower, except it gives you ice balls instead to freeze players. As with the Fire Flower, the Ice Flower can be used until ten seconds after the first ice ball is thrown or ten ice balls are thrown. Only Ice Bro can use this item. 3rd-8th
Mini Mushroom (New Item) The Mini Mushroom shrinks your kart to a tiny size but allows you to drive faster, jump higher, and drive on water. However, this small size makes you vulnerable to getting squashed, and Lightning will return you to normal size. Only Fly Guy and Paragoomba can use this item. 3rd-7th
Rain Cloud (New Item) The Rain Cloud functions similarly to the Lightning Cloud, except it rains on you and reduces your traction. Only Lakitu can use this item. 4th-6th
Snow Cloud (New Item) The Snow Cloud functions similarly to the Lightning Cloud, except it snows on you and freezes you for a few seconds. Only Shy Guy can use this item. 2nd-4th
