Kirby: Amulet of Infinity

Kirby: Amulet of Infinity (Kirby of the Stars: Infinity Amulet in Japan) is an upcoming platformer game in the Kirby series, developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo.

Story

After the events of Star Allies, life has been quite peaceful lately with a few exceptions of King Dedede causing mischief on Planet Popstar. One day, various creatures around the galaxy including Kirby are invited to a tropical paradise island known as Isle De Nemi, which claims to feature all sorts of activities for everyone.

The next day after receiving the envelope, Kirby takes a flight to the isle and lands just in time for the welcoming ceremony. At some point, Kirby notices a shadowy figure behind the stage and gets suspicious. After the festival, he is given a room and meets his roommate, Pepi.

Gameplay

Much like the other mainline Kirby games, the player plays as Kirby or any of his allies played at a 2.5 angle, which is a 2D platformer with 3D graphics. Some levels may introduce some 3D features and movements, similar to Yoshi's Crafted World. The player can freely move around in the map, but must complete all levels in the world to reach the end and unlock the next.

Copy Abilities

These are special abilities that Kirby and Keeby can obtain from inhaling specific enemies with that ability. They can be used to the player's advantage, combined by other abilities, stored in the PuffKit for later, or simply thrown away.

Evil	Sprout imp wings and horns, and cause chaos around you.
Time	Slow down, rewind, and stop time. take on freezed foes between slower speeds.
Axe	Swing an axe to hit enemies with. Slows Kirby or Keeby down slightly.
Melody	Use several instruments to defeat enemies by playing notes that come to life!
Mech	Transform into several machineries and defeat enemies using your arm cannon.

Amuletal Abilities

Amuletal Abilities are special copy abilities that are obtained by using a Star Amulet of their respective element, and are time-limited. Each of them also have a corresponding element, with the exception of Infinity.

Kirby	The pink curious puffball is at it again, this time on a job to prevent another dark force from causing Dreamland's massive cleanse. He can inhale enemies and copy their abilities to his advantage.
Keeby	Kirby's yellow cowardly counterpart that has decided to follow Kirby on his journey. Copies his moveset and abilities, and acts as a second player.

Pepi	Initial	A humble yet energetic bunny that lives on the outskirts of Dreamland due to her father being a great outlaw, but is somehow invited and prompts to help Kirby after having him as a roommate.	Bandana Dee	Initial	A loyal, spear-wielding waddle dee and a trusty helper to both Kirby and King Dedede. He can stab and twirl his spear in the air and against foes.
