Justice: Apocalypse is a fighting video game based upon the fictional universe of DC Comics. The game was developed by NeatherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the Playstation 4, Wii U, XBOX 360, and the XBOX One. The game is a sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us and it is planned to release in early 2016 as a debut game to the new year. An iOS variation of the game will be available in the Summer for all Apple and Android products.

It has also been announced that the game would be later re-released in the form of the Ultimate Edition for North America, Europe, Australia, and any other territories for the Playstation 4, Plastation Vita, and the XBOX One, and ported to the Microsoft Windows. The Ultimate Edition includes all of the previous DLC.

The gameplay for Justice: Apocalypse involves a 3D terrain with occasional one-on-one matches and rendered in a two-dimensional plane. Contrarily to the classic scheme of multiple rounds with health bars refilling in between, Justice follows upon the game, Killer Instinct, as it is very similar in it's gameplay and movesets. The game uses a four-button control layout of light, medium, and heavy attacks, alongside a "character trait" button that activates a unique attack or ability designed to showcase each character. For instance, Superman's trait provides a temporary stat boost, while Batman's trait summons a swarm of robotic bats heading towards the players opponent.
