Krasnogorje Mountainside.jpg
Layout

The Krasnogorje Mountainside stage is set around a small shack pressed up against the Krasnogorje's cliffside. The ground, which is flat and leads off the left blast line, slants down towards a rectangular platform inset into the plane further below. The roof of the hut up against the mountain's wall acts as a soft platform, as does the path it stands on. A small wall to its left also serves as a soft platform. In Snake Eater, the elements that make up this stage were not all present on the same plane, and thus this location's Super Smash Bros. counterpart differs in the size of said objects.

Layout

The stage is set on a building, with the giant Shinra headquarters resting prominently in the background. Uniquely, the stage takes a 'C'-like shape, with having two tiers that players can travel between through only one side due to a pipe blocking the left side of the second tier. The majority of the stage's platforms are solid, with only two soft platforms floating on the right-side in-between the top and bottom tiers. The top tier has a staircase-like design around its edge.

Bahamut ZERO makes a prominent appearance on this stage. Sometimes this creature will fly into the background of the stage, and light either the top or bottom tier on fire, damaging all those who stand within the orange flames.

Yggdrasil's Altar
JSSB Dragon Quest symbol.png
YggdrasilsAltar SSBU.jpg
Layout

For the most part, the Yggdrasil's Altar stage consists of a large solid platform, which has a flat layout. This platform has fairly large gaps between its edges and the blast lines, allowing fighters to be KO'd off the bottom of the screen. Additionally there is a small diamond-shaped outcropping on the bottom of the platform that makes it difficult, although not impossible, for fighters to travel beneath the length of the stage; though doing so would be a feat due to the long length of the stage. Several soft platforms may also fly in from the left and right sides of the screen in a variety of different patterns. They will last for only a short while before disappearing.

The stage flies around different locations from Dragon Quest XI, though unlike other travelling stages the platform never lands anywhere. At the beginning of a battle however, the altar's bottom is embedded in a stone platform, with this platform passing both blast lines. Although the stage's initial ascent is rather slow, fighters can be left on the ground should they not be paying attention.

While Yggdrasil's Altar does not possess any hazards that intrude on the battle, it is not entirely devoid of such either. On occasion, small platforms may rise up from the bottom of the screen on either side of the main platform, and these platforms will contain a treasure chest. If items are turned on, attacking a chest will cause it to open and reveal an item; if items are not turned on, it will simply disappear instead. Rarely, the chest will instead be a Mimic enemy and will attack any fighter who may be on its platform. The Mimic can be defeated quickly by attacking it, but it will continue to patrol its platform if it isn't until the platform lowers off the bottom of the screen.

Logos

JSSB character logo - Dragon Quest.png
Dragon Quest series logo
The logo used for Dragon Quest-related content is the series' official logo. While this logo has been used in Japan since the first instalment's release in 1987, original English releases in North America re-titled the game Dragon Warrior and as such used a different logo.
JSSB stage logo - Dragon Quest XI.png
Dragon Quest XI logo
The logo used for Dragon Quest XI-related content is the game's official English logo. This logo is nearly-identical for all versions of the game, with just the game's subtitle (Echoes of an Elusive Age) being translated to each language. This logo is oddly used for the Yggdrasil's Altar stage, which returns from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate where it was instead said to originate from the game's 2019 Nintendo Switch port Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition.
JSSB character logo - Metal Gear.png
Metal Gear series logo
The logo used for Metal Gear-related content is the official logo of the Metal Gear Solid series, in use since 2001's Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Notably, the tagline of "Tactical Espionage Action" has been removed for its usage in Super Smash Bros.
JSSB stage logo - Metal Gear Solid 3- Snake Eater.png
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater logo
The logo used for Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater-related content is the game's official logo, completely unchanged. Unlike the Metal Gear Solid series logo, this logo does include the "Tactical Espionage Action" tagline.

Palutena's Guidance

Sheik

Palutena: This is Sheik. After the Hero of Time awoke from his seven-year coma after pulling the Master Sword from its pedestal, this Sheikah warrior became a valuable ally.
Pit: So what can I expect from him?
Viridi: Actually, Sheik's a girl.
Pit: Wait, really?!
Viridi: Well Sheik IS just Zelda in disguise. Of course she'd be a girl.
Palutena: Sheik's gender is not a matter of concern ri...
Pit: But Sheik's voice is so deep! And... Sheik looks nothing like Zelda at all!
Viridi: Well this Zelda is from a different game, after all. It makes sense that they'd look different.
Viridi: Besides, anything's possible with a little magic. I imagine Sheik's voice and eye colour is a result of that.
Palutena: (Since it seems as though I'm not needed here, I may as well get some coffee.)
