Infinite Glacier is an active stage on Super Smash Stadium. It debuted close to the end of Season 4 and was the 28th stage to debut.
Stage overview[]
Difficult to describe. The location of everything changes every time the stage is played on! The stage is made up of various arrangements of scaffolding (soft platforms) as well as the occasional floating rock (hard) and ice blocks (hard, can be destroyed). The stage constantly scrolls up, occasionally very fast. It stops or scrolls down on some occasions.
Every now and then, Topis appear (with their Yeti-like appearance even on Japanese versions of the show) as well as Polar Bears, who stomp the stage downward.
Because of the nature of the stage, Meteor Smashes are useless here, as is Pikachu's down special.
Changes[]
None.
Notable playings[]
- On two Big Money Smashes, the stage offered a $250,000 jackpot with an unusual stipulation: The time limit was 15 minutes, and once the clock reached the 12:30 mark, the contestant would begin to lose $10,000 every 30 seconds. On the first playing (Episode 4201-2, October 16, 2013), the contestant won $30,000 in this way, but on the second playing (Episode 4506-5, October 28, 2016), the contestant won $210,000 and now holds the current record for the highest winnings in show history.
- For 2016's April Fool's Day special, a beach setting was used.
In its own universe[]
Infinite Glacier is a, well, infinite representation of the mountains that the Ice Climbers must climb in their home game.
