Incel Naruto’s Golf Blitz is a golf themed anime video game for the The Bentendo Head Exploder. Released in October of 2018, critical response was overwhelmingly positive and it became an instant hit.
The game is a rapid-fire golf game set in many locales, featuring many characters from various anime, cartoons, and other popular media.
Gameplay[]
The game has 3 different modes: Story, Quick Play, and Multiplayer. Gameplay in each mode is largely the same, quick basic golfing on shortened courses with the rules of golf relaxed somewhat to allow for more accelerated play. For instance, landing a shot in a water hazard simply drops the ball on the fairway next to the water hazard with an automatic one stroke penalty.
In addition to the traditional golf gameplay mechanics, players can taunt other golfers, play pranks, interact with the environment and other golfers, and even attempt to cheat in the game. However, getting caught cheating carries hefty penalties and may even cause the current game to end early as the player is ejected from the course.
Story Mode[]
Story mode places the player in the game as a contestant in a golf tournament featuring every character. Each character advances through the course sequentially, trying to maintain the lowest score in order to win the tournament. The tournament consists of 18 holes.
Though the tournament itself has no sort of linear story, procedurally generated subplots are created to add flavor to the game. These subplots are skippable however, since there are any given time up to 8 concurrent subplots occurring.
Quick Play[]
Quick Play mode puts the player on a course with 3, 6, or 9 holes, with the option to play against up to 3 rivals or alone.
Multiplayer[]
The multiplayer mode is competitive only, meaning all players are playing against each other. This mode is largely the same as Quick Play mode, allowing up to 4 players to play.
