Gulpin (Japanese: ゴクリン Gokulin) is a Poison-type Pokémon.
It evolves into Swalot starting at level 26.
Biology[]
Gulpin is an amorphous Pokémon usually taking a round shape. Its body is mostly green, with a black diamond marking on its back and a yellow feather-like piece on its head (with a female's feather being shorter than a male's). Its facial features includeconstantly closed eyes and puckered lips. Its body has two stubby apendages serving as arms. Due to the majority of its body consisting of its stomach, Gulpin is able to swallow anything of its own size, disgesting it with its vile, foul-smelling stomach acid. Its brain and heart are small in comparison to its stomach.

Trivia[]
- Gulpin is the sole Pokémon with a base stat total of 302.
Origin[]
It is speculated that Gulpin may be based on a stomach due to its shape and strong disgestive gasses. It is also theorized that it may be based on a poison gland, gallbladder, a slug, or a blobfish.
Name Origin[]
Gulpin's name appears to be derived from "gulping" or "sculpin", with potential inspiration from "toxin". Its Japanese name, Gokulin, may stem from ゴクリ "gokuri" ("in one gulp").
