Appearances[]

Koopa Kart series[]

Koopa Kart 7[]

The Gold POW Block is a new item to the Koopa Kart series in Koopa Kart 7, where it can be obtained from 5th to 10th place. It replaces and acts similar to the POW Block from Koopa Kart Wii, except it will affect airborne opponents and flips players over instead of spinning them out. Also, it cannot be weakened by pressing the trick button. The only way to avoid this item is to use a cannon or an invincibility item (Star, Super Mega Mushroom, or Bullet Bill).

Koopa Kart 8[]

The Gold POW Block returns in Koopa Kart 8, where it can be obtained from 7th to 13th place. It has the same function as in the previous installment, though it has been nerfed in that it can now be avoided if the player is airborne, though the player is still unable to deploy the trick button to weaken the effect. However, it has also been buffed in that it now destroys items that are lying on the track and destroys parts of the track each time it is used.

Koopa Kart Tour[]

In Koopa Kart Tour, the Gold POW Block is Dread Kong, Morton Koopa Jr., and Chargin' Chuck's Special Item and is obtainable from 7th to 10th place. It functions the same as in Koopa Kart 8.

Mario Kart series[]

Mario Kart: Elemental Chaos[]

The Gold POW Block makes its Mario Kart debut in Mario Kart: Elemental Chaos. It functions similar to how it does in the Koopa Kart series and how the regular POW Block does in Mario Kart Wii, except it blasts everyone ahead of the user into the air instead of flipping them over, and it can also be avoided using a cannon.
