Go for Gold: Mascot Mania is a fighting game developed by Figment Software for the Nintendo Switch console. The game features over twenty Olympic mascots as they fight at various Olympic venue and arenas. It plays very simillar to the Super Smash Bros. series.
Gameplay[]
Go for Gold: Mascot Mania plays very similarly to the Super Smash Bros. series. Players must knock other players out of the stage they are playing on. Each character in the game has their own weight class and moves as well as a special move, which can be used after gaining a certain level of power. Items can also be earned, as they frequently appear throughout a match. Items include tennis rackets, baseball bats, and other sports equipment.
Mania Match[]
The Mania Match mode is the standard mode of the game. It lets players fight with each other locally or online. Players are able to adjust the rules in a match such as if items are allowed, the time limit, and more. Players can also fight along or against CPU players.
Adventure[]
The Adventure mode is the story mode of the game. It features every mascot in the game fighting dark versions of themselves that have stole various medals for the upcoming Olympic games. Unlike modes like Mania Match, this mode features side-scrolling elements as well as bosses based off of Greek gods.
Extras[]
The Extras mode features things like records, stats, information about the mascots, Olympic trivia, and even media of various Olympic mascots.
