G.U.N. (Guardian Units of Nations) - a military organization in the Sonic universe, featured both in games and in cartoons and comics. It is not known exactly when this army was created, but fifty years ago (before the events of Sonic Adventure 2), the organization penetrated the space colony of the ARC and killed Maria, then executed Gerald Robotnik. Otherwise, the GUN is the backbone of the United Federation in the fight against such villains as Dr. Eggman or the alien invaders who once bothered the Earth.

comic book publishing house Archie Comics GUN is an elite war organization of people. For the first time, Sonic and the Freedom Fighters meet with a gang on Piro Island, the dragon's den of Zen. Together, making an effort, they seemed to be able to kill the formidable beast. Later, in the Sonic Universe series, Shadow fulfills GUN errands for several issues.
