Welcome to the sunset☀studios presentation!
We're proud to be co-hosting this year's showcase! We've got some real treats lined up this year, and we hope you can come along for the ride. Coming up, we've got coverage on already revealed games, reboots, revivals, newcomers, and a surprise game-changer!

Day 1 - I Got Dark Only To...[]

Hello? Is this thing on? Anybody?
A spotlight turns on, revealing a blue-haired woman that doesn't seem entirely human standing alone on a dark stage, holding a tablet-like device.
Vista Full
Oh! There we go! Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Sunset Studios presentation! I'll be your host for the next 4 days. My name is Vista.
Vista holds up her tablet device.
What I'm holding here is the latest console produced by Sunset Studios. It's known as the Horizon.
HorizonLogo
Horizon
The stage behind Vista illuminates with pictures of the Horizon. She pulls out some notes and starts reading from them.
The Horizon is a tablet-like device that houses the actual console inside the controller. It's intended for handheld play, but it's capable of casting to smart TVs and the likes for maximum immersion. Sometimes, you'll need to cast to a TV in order to use the touch screen separately.
The screen behind Vista brings up a picture of a small, blue half sphere with the Horizon logo.
Fear not if you don't have a smart TV, because the Horizon comes with a small device known as an Anchor. The Anchor is connected manually to a TV, and you can wirelessly cast to the Anchor.
The screen goes back to a picture of the Horizon.
Let's go over how the console works, huh? The Horizon has a d-pad, two flat joysticks, two shoulder triggers, and four colour-coded buttons. Unlike the usual ABXY control scheme, the Horizon uses ☄, ★, ☀, and ☾, also known as Comet, Star, Sun, and Moon. The half sun in the logo is used to turn the console on, and pause the game to adjust settings and such.
Horizon Gameplay
Horizon Icon
The screen behind Vista displays gameplay of what seems to be a port of ARMS. Vista puts her notes away.
The Horizon has a system known as Game Link. After getting to a certain point in a game, you will be given the option to enable Game Link. With Game Link enabled, secret bonuses can be unlocked in other games. For example; by turning on Game Link in Happily Ever After, you can unlock Rapunzel as a capturable princess in Wyvernal. It's a nifty way of rewarding you!
Another special feature the Horizon has is the Silver Lining feature. Silver Lining is a system which allows you to play demos of unreleased games, or oldies. New demos are uploaded regularly, so keep an eye out there!
Finally, I'm proud to announce that I, Vista, will be your humble guide to all things Horizon. I'll appear in the shop, the option menu, the home screen, or anywhere else you'll need my assistance! So get used to this cute lil face, 'cause you'll be seeing it a lot!

Day 2 - Shine[]

WSSB Icon
The trailer starts with a black screen, which is then cut into four uneven rectangles by a turquoise-pink cross. The trailer then cuts to a cinematic.

Feet run across the ground. Brown shoes, boots, heels. Hooves. Talons gliding over the ground. Stylish high-tops covered in paint.

Footage then cuts to a cinematic of Mario facing off against Link, in his Champion's Tunic. Mario dodges Link's sword as he slashes away. Link readies a spin attack, which Mario narrowly avoids by launching into the air holding a Propellor Block. Mario puts away the block and pulls out a Spin Drill. Link gets his shield ready in response. As Mario gets dangerously close, time slows and Link manages to escape, before resorting to a Flurry Rush on Mario. After recovering, Mario heads straight back into the action. As the two fight, their costumes change. Mario is in his wedding tuxedo, while Link is in the Hero's Clothes. The two are back in their signature outfits, but Mario's hat is missing and Link's hair isn't tied up. Mario sports boxer shorts and Link wears his own trunks. Their outfits change back to normal, and Mario hops backwards. He throws his cap, which transforms into Cappy in his ghost form.

CappyOpdysseyHalved
The trailer then cuts to gameplay. Cappy is a very floaty character, who attacks with his cap, and appears to throw himself. Cappy gets a running start, then in a puff of smoke, transforms into a Shiverian and rolls into Link. Samus and Mario, on either side of Cappy, throw their respective projectiles. As they get close to Cappy, he transforms into a Moe-Eye and blocks the projectiles with walls. Four Cappys are on the field, taunting. One is normal, while the others sport sombreros, builder hats, and Pauline's hat. A Gushen with Cappy's hat charges into Bowser, while pushing Pit away with the jet stream behind it. Cappy and his sister, Tiara, seem to be dancing together. Cappy gets close to the Smash Ball, but it is broken by an arrow.

DecidueyeAttack
The arrow is revealed to have been shot by Decidueye, who appears as a silhouette with eyes that glow in the dark. The screen is covered in a purple hue, and Decidueye launches itself into the air. It uses its signature Z-Move, Sinister Arrow Raid on the stage, appearing as a flurry of arrows that deal great damage. We are then shown Decidueye avoiding an Electro Ball by turning purple. A ghostly target is subsequently placed on Pikachu. Decidueye launches a purple arrow at the Pokémon, trapping it in chains.

Footage then cuts to a large montage of gameplay. Mario, Peach, and Bowser are all in their wedding outfits. Cappy is running away from Vespiquen. Four Pikachus are together, wearing the Rock Star, Belle, Ph D., and Libre outfits. Zelda, in her Breath of the Wild attire, is fixing her hair with Purah standing beside her, typing on her Sheikah Slate. Vespiquen is floating next to a cowering Bee Luigi. Xander, on horseback, is slashing through Goombas with his sword. Kirby is wearing his Whip hat, and using a whip to attack Ganondorf. Pikachu uses Iron Tail on a Striker Ball, hitting it into a large holographic goalpost. Link and Niles are aiming at each other, with Decidueye floating above them. DJ Octavio is spinning some tunes, while Kirby, in his Robobot Suit dances.

A Smash Ball glows turquoise and pink. Bowser uses his Final Smash to summon Goombas to attack, setting some of them on fire and launching them into the air. Luigi summons many Luiginary Clones to create a Luiginary Typhoon. Cappy transforms into a Sherm and starts shooting confetti projectiles. Vespiquen unleashes a swarm of bees on the stage to attack her foes. Peach uses her signature Peach Blossom final smash, with updated artworks. Mario, in his construction attire, summons a swarm of 8-bit Marios to mob the stage. When the Marios clear, the screen is left black with only a logo.
Wests Super Smash Bros

Spooky Teaser West 4
Oh, hey there! Welcome back! We've kicked off day 2 of our ~spooooky~ presentation with a trailer for an upcoming game, West's Super Smash Bros. More on that later, but now, let's take a look at another title!
Mario Kart Horizon
Horizon Icon Mario Kart Horizon
Mario Kart Horizon is a launch title for the Horizon. While 7 introduced new ways of driving, and 8 introduced antigravity, Horizon focuses on refining concepts already introduced for a better experience overall.

Now, how's about we show off some newcomers?

Of course, it'll all be structured better when the game officially releases.

In Horizon, we'll be introducing two new cups! These are the Moon Cup and Cherry Cup. The Moon Cup is a Nitro Cup, while the Cherry Cup is a Retro Cup.

A staple in the Mario Kart series, we're introducing some more items this time around!
Mario's Hat
The Cap is an item that is thrown in any direction you desire. It will hover in place for a while before returning to you. Has 3 uses.
DashPepper(1)
The Dash Pepper functions similarly to a Bullet Bill, though there is no automatic steering. This item allows you to catch up, but you'll need some serious driving skills.
Rock Mushroom SMBU
The Rock Mushroom turns you into a hurtling boulder. You gain a speed boost as a boulder, and can knock opponents clear out of the way, but your steering is severely restricted. Don't worry, you can cancel the transformation at any time with the press of the item button.
1UP Mushroom
The 1-Up Mushroom is exclusive to the Battle Modes. Using a 1-Up Mushroom will grant you an extra balloon, or whatever the current mode's equivalent is.
Speaking of Battle Modes, we've got some new ones in store for you!

Flipswitch Frenzy is a mode in which Flipswitch Panels are placed on the battle course. Your goal is to drive over these Flipswitch Panels and change them to your team's colour. The team with the most panels flipped at the end wins!

Moon Powered is a mode in which various Power Moons are scattered across the battle course, as well as two Odyssey styled ships - one for each team. The goal here is to retrieve a Power Moon and bring it back to your Odyssey ship. Power Moons are used to power these ships, and whichever one can fly the highest at the end is the winner!

Finally, I'd like to introduce a first for the Mario Kart series: Stickers! That's right, in Mario Kart Horizon, you can truly make karts your own! Stickers can be purchased from the Crazy Cap Shop in the main menu, or earned from beating Staff Ghosts or completing Cups for the first time.

We open on Bowser's airship hovering over Peach's castle. Bowser is standing overlooking the castle, wearing a construction outfit. Mario is hopping between airships in order to reach Bowser and rescue Peach. We see that Peach is holding a golden creature shaped like a heart, with what resembles a crown on its head. Mario reaches Bowser, and prepares to attack. As the two square off, Peach notices that the creature she is holding seems very anxious. Mario and Bowser finally engage, and Mario jumps at Bowser. Bowser's new gloves transform into brass knuckles, and he swats Mario away, in Peach's direction. The heart-shaped creature screams, and wraps herself and Peach in a bubble. Mario collides with the bubble, launching the two far away. Bowser commands a fleet to chase after the princess, while Mario is struggling to open his eyes.

We then cut to a montage of gameplay footage.

Super Mario Rendezvous Crown

Super Mario Rendezvous
What you just saw was a trailer for the newest Mario game, Super Mario Rendezvous! When Bowser kidnaps Peach to industrialise the Mushroom Kingdom and the surrounding kingdoms, things don't go according to plan. Thanks to a mysterious heart-shaped creature that Peach rescued recently, she escapes, leaving Mario to be kidnapped by Bowser. Now at opposite ends of the earth, Mario and Peach must make their way to the Mushroom Kingdom in order to take down Bowser and reclaim the Kingdom.

Mario and Peach have some new abilities this time around, thanks to their new companions! Cestu is Mario's companion, a ghost-like creature who allows Mario to absorb certain elements and use them to his advantage. By absorbing a different ability on each glove, Mario can create all sorts of combinations. Experimenting with what you can do with these powers is key to victory.

Princess Aurum
Peach has more of a connection to her companion. She rescued Aurum not so long ago, and has been helping her get back to health. When they end up in the Midas Kingdom, Peach discovers that Aurum is actually the heart of the princess of that kingdom. Problem is, her body has gone missing. Aurum inserts herself into Peach's parasol, giving her all kinds of abilities. Peach can now drill, shield, glide, and more. The parasol has a bunch of uses, so be sure to see if you can do anything interesting with your parasol everywhere you go.

Koopa Subway
To make your way between Kingdoms, you'll need to use the Koopa Subway. It's a new system Bowser's putting in place, and it's become a real hit! As you ride the subway, be sure to talk to passengers. You might even see some familiar faces! Alternatively, you can just sleep in your cabin to pass the time. Your cabin can be customised using items from the Crazy Cap Shop.

Power Crown Koopa KingdomPower Crown
In order to power the Koopa Subway, however, you'll need to collect Power Crowns. These lil' guys are scattered everywhere, just like Power Moons in Odyssey. Each Kingdom has different colour Power Crowns to keep things fresh. We'll have a guide on the main page so you don't lose track.

Mario and Peach each have 8 Kingdoms to explore, and that's even before you head to Neo Bowser City! Bowser's gone all out with the Mushroom Kingdom, and each character has 3 areas to explore in Neo Bowser City, as well as one final level for both heroes.

Power Crown Koopa Kingdom
The Koopa Kingdom is the first Kingdom that Mario explores, and the home of the infamous Koopa King, Bowser. It's a level filled with lava and darkness, as is expected, but there's a fair bit of construction going on. After your initial escape from the castle, it might be best not to go back in there for a while. Being heavily guarded, there are some Power Crowns hidden in Bowser's Castle that you may not be prepared to get until far later in the game. You'll be using Mario's Fire Gloves and Hammer Gloves a lot in this kingdom.

Power Crown
The Midas Kingdom is the first Kingdom that Peach explores. A wealthy kingdom ruled over by the gracious Princess Aurum with a heart of gold, but an iron fist where necessary. The Midas Kingdom is covered in precious metals of all kinds. Its citizens miss their beloved princess after she went missing a month ago, and morale is especially low as rust starts to take over. Aside from the castle and the village outside it, the Kingdom is made mostly of rolling hills, though nobody dares to pass that mysterious gate where everything has been rusted over...

We hope you enjoy Super Mario Rendezvous as much as we enjoy working on it!

Wests Super Smash Bros
Horizon Icon Wests Super Smash Bros
We'll close Day 2 with a special project: West's Super Smash Bros.!

We showed off a trailer for this game earlier, but now it's time to get down to the nitty gritty. West's Super Smash Bros. is Sunset Studio's answer to the recently revived X's Super Smash Bros. games, and a spiritual predecessor of our previous Smash games. However, WSSB takes a different, less conventional approach. Expect to see some weird fighter choices! Let's get started on some newcomers, shall we?

DecidueyeAttack
Decidueye

Decidueye is the final evolution of Rowlet, one of the Alola region's starter choices. Decidueye is bigger than most of the human characters and is a slow runner, but is lighter than you'd expect, and has an excellent jump. Decidueye acts as a sniper character of sorts, having very ranged attacks and working best from a distance. When selecting Decidueye, hold either of the triggers to pull his hood down.

CappyOpdysseyHalved
Cappy

Cappy is Mario's latest companion in Super Mario Odyssey, who joins Mario to save his sister, Tiara. Cappy has an average walk speed with a fast run, and is very light. He attacks by going into hat form and throwing himself, as well as by transforming into various Capturable enemies. This makes him a jack-of-all trades, having many ranged and melee options. Though Cappy is small, many of his transformations are pretty big, so beware of your increased hitbox when transforming. When selecting Cappy, hold either of the triggers to change to his sister, Tiara.

Kirby Robobot
Robobot Kirby

Robobot Kirby plays very differently from his unarmoured counterpart. In a way, it’s similar to the two Samus’s. Robobot Kirby is slow and very heavy, but makes up for it with brute strength. This means Robobot Kirby qualifies as a tank, both literally and figuratively. Unlike most tanks, Robobot Kirby has great range. He uses his giant robot fists to punch foes from a distance, as well as some Robobot modes not used in his special attacks. Use your laser blades to slice enemies, shoot a golden boomerang, send out explosive robots, and more! Hold either of the triggers while selecting Robobot Kirby to have a Haltmann Grunt pilot the Robobot Armour instead of Kirby.

416Vespiquen
Vespiquen

Vespiquen is a Pokémon originating from Pokémon Diamond & Pearl versions. She's a dual Bug-Flying type, and an exclusively female evolution of Combee. Being tied slowest flying type with Togetic, she's a slow character. However, she's unique in that she's slow and light, with decent attack power. Her primary method of attack utilizes her loyal servants, little bees. She can also attack with her claws and has a good jump. The bees will go into formations like fists, pincers, etc., though they can be killed, leaving Vespiquen much weaker. Bees are more vulnerable during attacks, but will regenerate over time.

Day 3 - Looking For The Golden Light[]

Welcome back to our showcase! We've got some real treats in store today, so let's kick things off with Wyvernal!

Wyvernal Alt
For those of you not in the know, Wyvernal is a game where you play as a ferocious dragon who has kidnapped a princess, and you must stop the hero of legend from rescuing her by conquering territories, expanding your lair, and wooing the princess. It's not gonna be as easy as it sounds, though, because for every territory the hero explores that isn't owned by you, he'll pick up a new ally.

One of these allies is the songstress, March. March is the best songstress of the Leporidae race. Her songs are said to heal the sick and injured, and invigorate whole armies. However, March is a bit shy. She's not all that fond of singing in public, but will do it if she has to. She does love singing, but her real passion lies in songwriting.
March acts as a support party member, with the ability to heal her allies and boost their stats. She has one attacking move, which will hit anybody within two squares of her, including her teammates. March is a Spring affiliated unit.

Of course, there are several other allies for the hero, Richard, to pick up. There are just as many princesses, though, and we're about to reveal one!

Princess Rapunzel V4
If you activate Game Link for Happily Ever After, you can kidnap the long-haired princess, Rapunzel. Rapunzel is the princess of the Arthurian kingdom, named after her father's great, great, great grandfather. She's initially very hostile towards you, but it's very hard to take her seriously with that baby face of hers. She can eventually be won over with souvenirs from her home, and certain flowers. If you find anything relating to her home series, bring it to her. Rapunzel likes a good sense of humour more than anything else.
If you win her over, Rapunzel's hair will be spread across the battlefield during the final battle. The hero and his party will take an extra turn to cross a square covered by Rapunzel's hair, giving you much more time.

Game Link isn't the only bonus content, though! A select few amiibo are compatible with Wyvernal.

Mario Amiibo ArtworkAmiibo Zelda E32016 char01 Link(Archer)
By tapping in a Mario amiibo, you can unlock the Toad race, and their hero, Mario. Likewise, the Link amiibo will unlock the Kokiri race and their strongest unit, Link. Richard can recruit either of these, but both units are good assets to have on your side if you want to take over their territory.

MarAmiibo PeachAmiibo Zelda Zelda
By tapping in a Peach amiibo, you can kidnap Peach. The Zelda amiibo allows you to - you guessed it - kidnap Zelda. Both princesses are more difficult than the rest to win over, but provide great bonuses if you do.

Amiibo BowserAmiibo Ganondorf
The Bowser amiibo and the Ganondorf amiibo give you the unique bonuses of playing as Bowser and Ganon, respectively. Both can breathe fire, while Ganon floats using magic, and Bowser flies in his Koopa Clown Car.

For our second part of the day, we'll be covering a fan favourite of ours, Cosmic Road Trip!

Cosmic Road Trip
Cosmic Road Trip is a game starring Trip. Well, Trips. There's infinite universes out there, and there's a Trip in each and every one discovered so far. Each Trip is vastly different from the next. Together, the Trips pillage dimensions in their own massive spaceship, the Nexus Nebula.

Today, we'll be covering the various facilities available in the Nexus Nebula while you're waiting between missions. Let's get going, shall we?

The Bulletin Board is pretty much what it says on the tin. You'll be left various missions from any of the worlds you've visited, each with a different difficulty and reward.

In the Trip Trade, you can put your Trips up for a trade, in exchange for the Trip that you want. Make sure it's a fair deal, though, or else people won't want to get involved. Alternatively, why not try a Tricky Trip Trade, essentially Cosmic Road Trip's answer to Pokémon's Wonder Trade. Speaking of Pokémon, Trader Trip, the owner, is a massive fan. I guess Pokémon aren't real in his universe.

If you're feeling hungry, then check out the Off Brand Shop. Here, we get imports from other dimensions, for a cheap, cheap price! Okay, fine, they're not actually the products. They're cheap knockoffs that don't have as strong an effect as the originals, but they're cheap! The stock here is randomised every 24 hours, so be sure to check in daily.

Got items you don't really need? Trips you want to get rid off? Check out Pawn Star It's a shop run by an alternate version of Chess Trip, who seems to be dressed as a pawn with a lot of skin exposed. Here, you can sell items and Trips for money, but it's a bit hard when the owner keeps flirting with you. Nobody knows what happens to the Trips you sell to her...

Thirsty? So's Water Cooler Trip. He's always hanging out by the water cooler, which is next to the Vending Machine. The Vending Machine has sodas that you can drink to boost your performance on the next mission, but is it really worth it when Water Cooler Trip is always there? He never moves! If you're lucky enough to get to the Vending Machine before everyone else, make sure to get some banana flavoured milk. All the Trips are hooked on it!

If you're an avid Trophy Master, then you need to check out the Trophy Hall. It's a must if you're a Trophy Master. Here, you've catalogued every Trophy you've ever found, with a symbol indicating what ones are usable. Read descriptions of fan favourite characters like Unten and Rachel, or see what these Trophies do when you summon them. Just be quiet about it. Librarian Trip hates ruckus.

If you're looking to propose, or just need a ring to boost your abilities in the field, head on over to the Ring Forgery. Blacksmith Trip will be happy to make rings for you for a small fee, permitted that you bring the right materials.

The Casino is a dangerous place, but Trips are all about danger! Gambler Trip will welcome you with open arms, but don't let his friendly smile fool you. He just wants you money. In the Casino, you pay money to spin a wheel. If you're lucky, you'll get a higher chance at summoning a rare Trip. If not... well, you've lost a lot of money.

Looking for fame and fortune? Participate in Date-A-Trip! It's the newest hit gameshow, taking universes by storm! It forces two Trips to spend some quality time together, often with some hilarious results. If you pick the right pair, the two might start growing closer, and have good chemistry. However, things might go array, causing the pair to hate each other's guts. Are you willing to risk your best Trips for the sake of better performance?

Day 4 - A Reasonable Sacrifice[]

Welcome back, for our final day of the presentation! We've got a bunch of surprises for you today, and here comes the first. It's a launch title that comes preinstalled with most bundles of the Horizon. Let me be the first one to introduce you to... Dressed for Success!

Dressed for Success
Dressed for Success is an RPG with a typical high fantasy setting. One thing's different, though: the citizens of the kingdom of Haberdashia are obsessed with fashion.

You take the role of Dolly, a tailor in the kingdom of Haberdashia. Your designing business has just gotten its big break, and you've just received your biggest job ever. You'll be designing the wedding dress for the gorgeous Princess Seam's wedding with the dashing Prince Darning - the event of the century! You'll have to pull all the stocks on this outfit if you want it to look amazing, while still matching Seam's extravagant taste in fashion.

In order to get the materials you need for the princess's wedding dress, you'll need to travel far and wide across the continent. Only the finest materials will do. Luckily, Dolly knows exactly where to find them. A pair of Dragonskin Gloves from Dragon Eye Mountain, a necklace made from Cotton Wool Woods' treasured Rosette Stone, and a few more. Of course, getting these Foreign Materials will be no easy task. While you're at it, though, why not get a few extras? You can wear any of your spare Foreign Materials to get a special buff.

Of course, Dolly will face many strange enemies along the way. Unfortunate for them, because her expert clothes designing skills are her strongest asset. Dolly has many "classes" in Dressed for Success, known as Outfits. Each Outfit is unique from the last, as each has its own moves, stats, and a special overworld ability. Outfits can be created by Dolly in her tailor shop, as long as you have the right materials.

To give you a taste of what her Outfits will be like, we've prepared a short extract.

Outfit Description
Tailor's Dress You start the game with this fashionable waistcoat-sundress combination. It's got very balanced stats, being the basic outfit. Most of the attacks can only hit one enemy at a time, and inflict no extra effects. It's good for the start of the game, but you'll have better outfits by the time you need them.

Magic NeedleRibbon WrapCross-StitchQuick Patch

Sewing Kit

Paladin's Armour A gift from the lovely Princess Seam, to help you on your quest to make the best wedding dress this world has ever seen. It's not very fashionable, but it does the job pretty well. This outfit makes you very defensive with good attack, but a severe weakness to magic-based attacks.

Slice 'n' DicePiercing BlowShield Guard

Royal Shield

Wizard's Robes Legend has it that these robes were passed down through generations of sorcerers, but that's silly! You just made this outfit now! These robes are rather light and breezy, lowering your defense significantly. On the other hand, your magical abilities are exceptional! It's too bad that you have to carry that heavy spellbook around with you, though.

FloatiusMultimore AttackiumAbracadrowsyFortuna

Sparklius Interactus

These are just a select amount of her Outfits, and some of her more regular ones, at that. Other Outfits include Painter's Apron, Chef's Hat, Cat's Collar, Pop Star's Attire, Fairy's Wings, Builder's Overalls, and Bee's Knees.

In this strange world of clothes puns, you'll need some allies. While it's very rare that you'll actually have somebody assist you in battle, there are many colourful characters to meet on your journey. Jragon, the Young is the child prince of the Denim Dragons, who has gone missing recently. Princess Pantsuit, of the emerald-covered Soirée kingdom, is an old friend of Seam, and is in charge of organising her wedding. Officer Goodbody is the head of the Haberdashian police force. He's got good intentions, and an even better body that he's not afraid to put on display. Flannel is a young woman in Haberdashia looking for love, but not sure where to find it. And Lioness is a woman obsessed with faux fur, who needs to speak with Princess Pantsuit as soon as possible.

I hope you enjoy playing around in the wonderful world of Dressed for Success!

Richard
Richard is running through a forest, Vanquisher in hand. The hero comes to a halt when confronted by an army of Leporidae - bunny-like humanoids - wielding a vast array of carrot-themed weapons. They seem ready to attack Richard. Realising there's no easy way out of this, Richard runs his hand through his hair, giving a cocky grin, and jumps into action. "Let's dance."

We then cut to gameplay footage. Gameplay doesn't resemble Wyvernal in the slightest, being very similar to the Warriors games. Richard uses his legendary sword, the Vanquisher, to slice through the small bunny-like creatures. A larger Leporidae wields a massive carrot club. Richard blocks a few blows with his sword. When his foe is vulnerable, Richard slides underneath him and delivers a finishing blow.

Footage cuts back to a cinematic. Richard is looking at his reflection in his sword, and fixing his hair after the battle. "Was that really it? No carrot catapults or anything? I expected more of a challenge."

The shadow of a massive dragon looms behind Richard. It lands with a thud, but Richard takes no notice. Its rider takes off their helmet, revealing a head of long, pink hair. "What, that wasn't enough for you?"

Richard's face drops. "Princess?" We see that the figure riding the dragon is Princess Rose.

Princess Rose
"Still think I need rescuing?"

We go back to gameplay footage. Richard is attempting to battle Rose and her dragon lover. Rose does not directly attack, but rides the dragon, who breathes fire, swings its tail, and uses its wings to create gusts of wind. "Did you hear that sweetums? He wants a challenge! I say we give it to him. C'mon, babe, tear him apart!"

In a cinematic, Richard is on his last legs. Rose kisses the dragon's head, as it rears up to burn the hero. Suddenly, a rope is wrapped around the dragon, which then conducts an electric shock. The dragon falls to the ground, and Rose begins to panic. Richard looks up to see who saved his life. Standing on a large rock is a figure in a futuristic power suit, and a genie.

Bounty Hunter TripRihlat Qasira
"Nice! This dragon's got a massive bounty on its head! ...And a girl, too. Rihlat, come check this out."

"Just a second, Trip." Rihlat Qasira floats over to Richard, and puts her hand on his shoulder. "Hey, you okay?"

Richard quickly gets up, dusts himself off, and puts on his usual cocky grin. "Forget about me, how you doin'?"
Rihlat groans and retreats into her lamp, much to Richard's dismay, but not surprise. Bounty Hunter Trip tries prying Rose away from her unconscious lover.

From a distance, two figures watch. We see them from the back. One has blue hair and a red cape, while the other has brown hair with green streaks, and a crown with teardrop-shaped jewels.

A montage of gameplay footage is shown, showing off the Warriors-esque gameplay.
Rapunzel PortraitSnow Portrait
Rapunzel uses her dagger to fight an army of dwarves, led by Snow White. Snow is holding a small golden harp, and playing it seems to emit golden waves. A red ghostly figure appears above Snow for a moment, before purple flowers blossom at her feet.

Rihlat Qasira is fighting Bounty Hunter Trip. Rihlat attacks with magical abilities, while Bounty Hunter Trip uses technologically advanced lasers. He charges up a ball of energy and launches it, but Rihlat avoids it by retreating into her lamp.

Trojan Acid Blade
Trojan commands her Mantivirus to attack an army of small, bat-like creatures. Mantivirus uses its energy scythes to attack, as well as using various Electric and Bug moves. Trojan touches the Mantivirium Z on her earring and the two get ready to perform its signature Z-Move.

Richard is commanding an army of Leporidae, while Snow commands an army of dwarves. Snow stops attacking the bunny-like creatures for a moment, and fills a small area with a red energy. The Leporidae caught inside the circle now glow with red energy, and start fighting for Snow. Richard goes in close for an attack on Snow, but she blocks against it with a quick word and a small burst of red energy. Richard manages to break through Snow's shield.

Prima Donna
Rapunzel, now with her long hair, is fighting Prima Donna. Rapunzel is fighting using her hair, but Prima is avoiding her attacks with her aerobic skills. Prima summons a large vine to sprout, which sweeps the battlefield.

Sunset Warriors

We've got one last reveal to make, and it's a big one! Introducing...

Horizon Icon Happily Ever After
Happily Ever After!

We're giving Happily Ever After a soft reboot. It's a story we're eager to tell here at Sunset Studios, but we've been having a bit of trouble telling it in its current format. That's why we're proud to announce...

Happily Ever After is being rebooted as a webcomic!

That's right, we're gonna try our best to regularly produce pages for Happily Ever After. We can't say at the moment what the schedule is gonna look like, or if there's gonna be a set schedule at all, but we'll try our best to keep it regular.

Some story elements will be scrapped or changed in order to make a more coherent story. Sadly, this includes the three-story plot we had going. Fear not, because Red, Phillip, Maleficent, and Aurora will still be appearing in the comic! We'll still have segments focusing on their side of things, because it is essential to the story, but expect to see a bit more of Rapunzel.

Another change is that we'll try to focus more on characters and their relationships with others than the old story did. The White-Gothel family have some interesting dynamics, as do Red and her wolf family. In addition, a character important to Rapunzel's story will be appearing much earlier than she did in the old story. In the old story, she did not appear at all up to the current point, but in this revamp, the Queen of Spades will be one of the first characters you meet.

In the new comic, Rapunzel and Snow will have a much closer bond. Rapunzel is her stepsister's confidant, who knows about her magic abilities, and is the one Snow turns to when her mother is being abusive. We'll get to see Aoife interact with her two daughters, and learn why she favours Rapunzel over Snow. Rapunzel and her father, Arthur, have an unbreakable bond, which will be explored more in depth. We'll see much more of the romance between Arthur and Aoife, toxic as it may be.

The comic will follow a similar artstyle to the portraits already released - of Snow and Rapunzel. Speaking of, we have two more to reveal!

Violette PortraitJill of Hearts Portrait
You may already know these two, but they have yet to be introduced to the story.
Violette is one of three witch sisters, who has been banished to Camelot alongside her sick sister, Glinda. She controls water, and can use bodies of water to travel, almost like portals. Unfortunately, the necklace she unwillingly wears inhibits this ability.
Jill of Hearts is one of the rulers of Wonderland, alongside her husband - Jack of Hearts - and the Queen of Hearts, an old friend. The necklace she wears is part of a set, with her husband wearing a blue half-heart around his own neck. Jack and Jill own a blue rose, which they keep in a glass case, and will defend with their life. Neither of them will say why, or what is so special about the rose.

In addition to these two, we've been working hard at redesigning characters, and refining their designs. We've compiled a small gallery of sketches.

Happily Ever After will be released on Fantendo - Drive at an undetermined date.

Rapunzel is the princess of the kingdom of Camelot, with exceptionally long hair. When her father marries a new woman, things turn upside-down for Rapunzel when she gets tangled up in her stepsister's secret, and faces her wicked stepmother's wrath. Happily Ever After tells the story of a rogue princess, a girl raised by wolves, and a maleficent witch from the island of Avalon.
