Final Smash Shin Hadoken / Shinku Hadoken

Ryu is a playable veteran character in Super Smash Bros. Calamity. Ryu is the main character from the Street Fighter series of fighting games by Capcom, and, along with Mega Man, is one of their well-known mascots, and is usually the main protagonist of each installment. Ryu is easy to pick up for first-timers of the Street Fighter games. Ryu constantly clashes with many villains of the Street Fighter series, like M. Bison, Sagat, etc, of the Shadoloo organization.

Changes[]

Notice Ryu has more animations due to the inclusion of more taunts and victory poses.

Buff Dash attack can be changed just like his tilts, which makes him perform the Tatsumaki Senpukyaku.

Notice Side special is now Focus Attack, which acts in the same way as it did before.

Buff New down special, Alpha Counter from the Street Fighter Alpha series, which acts like a counter.

Moveset[]

Ryu's ground moves, with the exception of his smash attacks, can be changed depending on how the attack button is pressed. For example, tapping the attack button makes Ryu perform the weaker version of the move, while holding it down makes Ryu perform the stronger version of the move.
Ryu's Hadoken and Shoryuken (his neutral and up specials, respectively) can be upgraded if the move is performed by using a specific directional input and the standard attack button/special button, making them stronger in some way.
