A Rainbow Sphere
A Rainbow Sphere is a magical item in Super Mario Destiny. It looks like a rainbow-coloured sphere surrounded by two rings. According to Toad, they were used by a hero 500 years ago to defeat darkness. The hero collected them from different parts of the Mushroom Kingdom, and 80 were enough for him to battle the darkness. However, when the darkness was defeated, the Rainbow Spheres scattered to where they were originally. Mario collected 80 to battle the darkness. When the Dark Figure was defeated, the Rainbow Spheres never scattered, as all the darkness was destroyed. There are 120 in all.
