Rhythm Heaven Collection is the 5th game in the Rhythm Heaven Series, the first Rhythm Heaven game on Nintendo Switch, Wii U, Cooki Zone and PC, and the second Rhythm Heaven game on Nintendo 3DS. The game is a compilation of past Rhythm Games from previous installments and features Remixes that are basically short crossovers with other franchises.

Gameplay[]

Like all other instalments, The core gameplay of all of the minigames is based on rhythm. Every minigame has its own set of rules, but new to this game is Marathon Mode, where the player plays several games featured in order, after completing a rhythm game, a checkpoint is created, and the next time the player loads up Marathon Mode, they will resume where they left off.

Rhythm Games[]

Rhythm Games is the main core of this game, like all other instalments. The object of this mode is to unlock each rhythm game, or minigame, by achieving a decent score which is based on how well the player kept in rhythm, of the previous one. After unlocking and succeeding at the first four games, a Remix will appear that combines all of the four games featured in the last row. Once the remix is surpassed, the next game will be unlocked as well as four other games waiting to be unlocked in its column and so forth. Once a "Superb" rank is achieved on a rhythm game, a chance to go for a "Perfect" will be available at random times. Other things can also be accessed in this mode such as the Café, Drumming Lessons and Rhythm Toys. Everything unlockable can be obtained by earning Medals or achieving perfects.

This is the first instalment of the series to have Remixes featuring characters from other franchises, Remixes from older games, and to have worlds. Each world has 10 rhythm games.

Pressing A will make the ground bounce the fruit into the basketball. Both apples and lemons are presented in this sequel. And there is a new fruit added. If you hear two whistles, a melon will come speeding by which has to be bounced at the third beat.
+3 3 Second Contact Second Contact's gameplay focuses on repeating a pattern by hitting the A button or directional pad. Farmer Bob will start by speaking to a rhythm represented by a symbol (a picture of a person) and then give the Martian a cue to repeat that same rhythm, translating the symbols to words. It is also played the same way like in prequel, but this time it's more complex and a bit tricky having symbols appearing really fast to hit.
+3 4 LumBEARjack 2 It plays the exact same as its prequel, but the background is now set in the wintertime, and this time, there is a new cue added to the tutorial. The Lumbercats will place down a large wood that takes four hits to break by pressing the A button. The small and regular woods are still present in this sequel. At the end of the game, you'll have to break a big refrigerator that will take four hits to break as large wood.

Business Card As well as being a simple rhythm toy to play, it also has a simple design. The toy has a man (presumably Stomp Farmer) with glasses and brown hair spinning around a little card. The man has a blue tie and a white striped shirt. Text above the man tells you to spin the card as if you're drawing a circle. Rhythm Heaven Get a medal on all World 2 stages.
Toy Car Rhythm Heaven Fever
Toy Car In order to 'beat' the game, you must release the toy car at just the right time. When you begin holding A, the car will be pulled back and a beat will begin playing. You must release A just as cowbell sound plays in order to get an "Exactly" rating. Rhythm Heaven Fever Get a medal on all World 3 stages.
Streetpass fighter
Figure Fighter VS The game has you using Figure Fighter's controls to compete against another muscle doll. The level of difficulty depends on the Flow of the character you choose to fight. When you jab at the right moment, the opponent's balloon will inflate more. The winner is the one who pops the other's balloon. Rhythm Heaven Megamix Get a medal on all World 4 stages.
Horse Machine
Mechanical Horse The objective is to follow along with the rhythms that the other horse trots to. After getting farther than the other horse, you will need to follow the next rhythm. Eventually, you will get to the last rhythm, galloping, which will repeat forever as it becomes faster. The rhythm will eventually become humanly impossible to maintain due to the speed and will require some sort of tool assistance to continue. Rhythm Tengoku Get a medal on all World 5 stages.

Police Call
Police Call Police Call is a very odd rhythm toy compared to others in the series. There isn't much rhythm involved. You control a hand that presses buttons with its index finger. The phone has 11 buttons, including normal letters, a send button, a backspace button, and an orange arrow button. The background is a solid gray color with a spotlight and the phone screen is green with a battery indicator and what appears to be a service icon with music notes.

As mentioned in the description of the toy, it's actually less of a toy and more of an investigation tool. Entering for the first time isn't different from entering any other time. You get told random dialogue from a brown-haired man in a suit, and then you are taken to the phone.

Rhythm Heaven Fever Get a medal on all World 7 stages.
Goat pachinko
Feed Goat The game plays out like a retro-styled arcade game complete with music and effects. The player has to throw the turnips at the goat while trying to avoid obstacles that prevent the turnips from reaching the goat. There are an infinite number of levels in the game.

The player can use Turnips, which grow in the cafe after playing rhythm games, to feed the goat, or use their coins. There are three different turnips you can use: normal (green,) turnips, silver turnips, and gold turnips. Silver turnips give out twice the amount of experience as a normal turnip. Gold turnips, on the other hand, can lead the player to a "chance" time, which gives out even more experience than usual and turns the goat golden. You'll get text on the screen reading "Turnip Fever!" (Golden Chance in Japanese) which allows you to endlessly throw golden turnips for a while, length depending on the "Chance" being bronze, silver or gold. The goat will return to her normal form after the time limit ends. Gold and silver turnips can only be obtained with coins, challenges, or Figure Fighter VS.

Rhythm Heaven Megamix Get a medal on all World 8 stages.

Endless Games[]

MrUpbeatWithoutHUD
Mr. Upbeat As the game starts, a voice will count off a rhythm for eight beats. After this, a pendulum will begin to swing at the player. To dodge the pendulum, the player needs to make Mr. Upbeat "step" as the pendulum nears his feet, which happens on the offbeats. To assist the player, the light on Mr. Upbeat's head will flash on each correct beat. Every 16 successful steps, the pendulum will temporarily stop. During this time, the player will receive one point, and a new tempo will be counted. Rhythm Tengoku Complete all of the main stages.
Coin toss 3ds gameplay
Coin Toss The game keeps score by counting every time the player successfully catches the coin. The player must make a judgement on when the coin will land by relying on the rhythm being played in the background. They must count to seven each time. The background beat will cut off shorter after each catch but still relying on the timing. After the first few rounds of catching, the music will play fully but slower the next time and then repeat that cycle, the player's score is reset every time a catch is failed. Rhythm Heaven Complete all of the purchasable stages.
Wake-Up-Caller Wii
Wake-Up Caller

Before each round, the bird will tell the player what time it would like to wake up. A beat will be counted off, and the clock will start ticking. After roughly four beats, the clock will disappear, so the player must keep counting. When the clock reaches the specified time, the player must press A to stop it. On occasion, the bird will ask to be woken up off the hour, which requires the player to pause in between the two hour marks.

Rhythm Heaven Fever Play the game for 15 minutes.
Chicken Race gameplay
Charging Chicken The player plays as a chicken racer that must press and hold A button to charge his electric car and then release it in time when his car is fueled up to 4-16 beats. After that, he will go and reach to another land while the platforms will fall apart when you touch any of them, giving a game over. If you fuel his car too much while doing nothing, the car will explode and make him a roast chicken, you will have to redo the cue all over again without losing a life. Each counting beat have a different speed timing, the last counting numbers will have muted music and the counting numbers won't show up during some levels. The scenery will change the background sometimes to day and night, space or ever another dimension if you reach high level. Rhythm Heaven Megamix Play the game for 30 minutes.
