Puffy Wario is one of Wario's Reactions in the Wario Land series. It was introduced in Wario Land II and reappeared in Wario Land 3 and Wario Land 4.
Activation and Function[]
When Wario is stung by a bee, Beezley, a arrow from a Bow Balloon, a Jellybob, or the minions of Catbat, Wario will swell up like a balloon. He can then slowly move up in the air like Kirby or Balloon Mario. This is used to either get to higher heights or as a form of annoyance. In Wario Land 4, Wario is able to ascend faster by blowing out air.

Wario World 2[]
Puffy Wario makes an appearance in Wario World 2, once again as a transformation. In this game, the form is achieved by getting stung by a Stingin' Imp. Like in the Wario Land games, the player can float upward, but also move around to avoid obstacles. The ability to move faster by expelling air from Wario Land 4 also returns.
In addition to Wario, Waluigi, Captain Syrup, and Queen Merelda also gain their own Puffy transformations. Waluigi's makes him resemble a balloon animal and Captain Syurp's pants inflate with air. Unique to Merelda, she pulls out a coin sack to protect her from the Stingin' Imp, which inflates and carries her upward.
