PyroEnterprisesDirect

Hello there, everyone! Welcome to our first Pyro Enterprises Direct, where we aim to bring you the latest and greatest in video gaming! Before we start, I just have to say thank you to everyone who's made my time on Fantendo over the past several years so enjoyable. You've been such an amazing audience of friends and family and I can't thank you enough. You're the main reason I put the passion that I do into all my projects- and someday, even the real world projects.

Enough about that, though. We've got some reveals to do. Starting with a real big one...

Day 1[]

Console Reveal[]

The camera pans around a black void as a grey light begins to emerge from the background. A strange square-shaped object emerged from a black puddle, glowing with white light, as two remote-shaped objects fly in from the sides of the screen and lodge themselves into the square's sides. A black eye shape appears on the square before converting to white, as the white shapes fade into the black background.

The Onyx
OnyxGrip

Meet the Onyx, our company's third console! Our love and passion for the Nintendo Switch is what inspired this product, though we've taken plenty of liberties with the design and concept to improve upon said console. At first glance, the controller looks similar- a grip with two smaller controllers lodged within.

OnyxMonoCon

These smaller controllers are known as MonoCons, and have been given a sleek, almost steel finish to make them seem elegant and more conforming to the hands when held sideways. As well as standard face buttons and a stick, they possess both bumpers and a variant on triggers, which when entering their combined form, act almost as back paddles from other controllers. However, one of the Onyx's biggest standouts is the grip used.

The grip has been given the name of the Hub, and is one of the most powerful pieces of portable gaming technology in existence. At face value, the hub offers recording features similar to that of the Nintendo Switch, easy access to the Menu, and a PS4-style touchpad and U-shaped lightbar. However, the Hub is so much more than a grip- it's a portable experience all to itself.

The Hub can take two separate SD cards in order to transfer and read data for games, and is able to connect to the internet for various purposes in order to download and transfer data. In fact, the Hub itself comes with a built-in local wireless router- despite a limited range, this allows you to enjoy wifi anywhere on the go, even if the MonoCons are not connected! It's a true go anywhere, play anything experience!

OnyxTablet

The Onyx does also come with a tablet mode, akin to the Nintendo Switch, but unlike the Switch's touch screen, the Onyx's touch screen is resistive as opposed to capacitive. As such, styluses are included with every console.

Onyx Menu

This is a rough example of the Onyx's home menu- again, while inspired by the Nintendo Switch, we have modified a few things here and there in order to create our own variant on it. For instance, news about owned games will appear on the menu, rather than having a separate News tab, and the option to create folders. We even have custom avatar and menu theme creation options!

The top row of rainbow buttons consist of a wide array of options. As well as a standard Friends List and Album, we have the Hub Connectivity option, which enables controller recalibration and connection as well as internet settings and parental controls for the Hub. The green gears icon is the Mod menu- players are not only allowed to browse through a list of mods for titles they own, but also make their own using PC tools- simply use SD card transferring between Onyx and PC and mod away! Of course, Mods are curated by hand to ensure nothing bad slips through the cracks, and our achievement system- Awards- will not work when non-cosmetic mods have been installed on a game. Lastly, we have standard eShop and Settings options, where games and DLC can be purchased and options can be modified, including the theme maker.

We hope you are excited for the Onyx- it's been a console we've been extremely excited to announce. That said, the games we want to reveal are probably what will be more interesting...

So let's get on that!

Game Reveal 1[]

SSBShiftLogo
Logo by HollowPharaoh (tbc)

Super Smash Bros. Shift is a game that we feel will- as the title states- shift how players approach Smash. While it's not a more competitively-oriented title per se, it is a far more technical one- much more deviation from the classic four-special moveset has occurred, giving every character much more flair and many more options when it comes to approaching almost every situation! It's a style we feel will benefit both a casual and competitive crowd- more tools to play with and experiment with leading into a more varied and spectacle-filled competitive scene.

Mario SSB4LinkultimateKirby SSBUltimateSamus SSBUltimatePikachu SSBUltimateFox SSBUltimate

The returning roster is one I don't want to go into too much detail for right now- much like Ultimate, every character in Smash Bros. history is rejoining the battle. However, almost every veteran has received changes and updates to their moves and abilities to make them feel fresh. Mario can now use the close-range option of the Firebrand by holding neutral B as opposed to tapping it, Samus is able to utilize bomb jumping in a more faithful manner to Super Metroid as well as having the ability to use Ice Missiles via special inputs, Kirby's Hammer Flip special has a new vertical hitbox to match his home games... The list goes on!

There's also a brand new mode in the works- we call it Shift Rush! Based on both Smash Run and Smash Tour, Shift Rush is a roguelite mode in which players select a character before entering a randomly generated dungeon, fighting off enemies and picking up items before making their way to the boss on each floor. Items are similar to that found in Smash Tour, but add permanent passive buffs to your character, and can be either found by defeating enemies, clearing challenging platforming segments, out on the ground, or by shopping at a vendor. The enemies are a wide range of goons from beloved Nintendo franchises, as well as some new and unique baddies, and the bosses take the form of beloved villains from all your favorite game series.

Of course, I assume you want to hear about newcomers, right? Let's dig in to that.

SpringManAlt

Spring Man is one of our first newcomers, hailing from the Nintendo Switch fighting game ARMS- coincidentally, a title that is getting a port to the Onyx itself. Much like his home title, he's a very all-around fighter with the extremely stretchy arms that those from his game all use to battle with- these arms extend when performing his melee attacks, giving him surprising range with them. He can even use the right stick to guide his punches mid-flight, giving them exceptional control and reach- with quick enough reflexes, his punches can even be made to loop around his body, striking behind him!

His Down Special is Deflect, which causes a shockwave to erupt from Spring Man's body- this can reflect projectiles and stagger nearby opponents. His Neutral Special, likewise, is Charge- if held down, this lets the player gain a fiery attack and knockback boost, though inputing a direction while charging lets him swiftly dodge.

His Final Smash is Flurry Rush, which is comparable to Donkey Kong and Little Mac's Final Smashes in Ultimate- a quick jab forward causes anybody struck to enter a world of hurt as they're rapidly punched into oblivion! Overall, Spring Man is an agile and powerful fighter with quite a unique control twist- fans of ARMS will appreciate his style!

Ever Oasis - Tethu

Tethu, star of the 3DS action-RPG Ever Oasis joins the battle, bringing a unique style of stage control to Smash. Though Tethu may seem to be a standard swordsman at first glance, he is anything but- in fact, some of his speedy playstyle was designed to be reminiscent of Sonic, especially with his Pellet Roll side special, a move similar to the Spindash. His Green Gale neutral special is a unique charged projectile. When fired normally, it travels very slowly and gains very little distance, but as it's charged, the distance and speed improve though the power never does. Charged and uncharged Green Gales both have special uses, so plan ahead!

Tethu may be abit of a lightweight, but that's alleviated with the Bloom Booth, his down special. This causes the player to plant a seed into the ground, creating a small version of the oasis plants found in Ever Oasis. This generates a circular area in which Tethu is slowly healed, gaining a possible total of 20% healed over 15 seconds. Of course, if the Bloom Booth is damaged, the time is shortened and the move gains a much larger cooldown. Tethu can also use Green Gale on a Bloom Booth to siphon all the water out of it, gaining all the healing instantly, but this again places it on a cooldown. Playing around the Bloom Booth is important to Tethu's survival!

Tethu's Final Smash is Esna's Essence, which plays a stranger role than most in that it's support-based! While Esna's summoning does create a watery burst around Tethu that deals some damage, it's main goal is similar to the oasis happiness mechanic in the original game- a barrier is added around Tethu's health, increasing their vitality and enabling them to take 35% damage without even flinching!

Alice the balloon kid by evilwaluigi-d55vngf

Our next newcomer is Alice from the Game Boy title of Balloon Kid- expecting Balloon Fighter? Well, Alice is also technically a callback to that NES title as well! Alice is a standard fighter who's a bit floatier than usual, owing to the balloons she tends to be attached to. Normally a low-jumping, clunky fighter who even lacks a double jump, each balloon grants her two additional jumps as well as increased air speed and mobility. Hit her hard enough and a balloon will pop, hindering her kill power and mobility as well as her recovery.

Using her down special, Balloon Pump, Alice can quickly reinflate balloons to get back in the action, but this mash-based move can leave her vulnerable if not prepared to defend herself. Her neutral special is an odd projectile harkening back to Balloon Fighter- the Buzzy Ball. Using static electricity, Alice can fire a slow bouncing ball of electricity as a zoning tool, and it can even be fired in any direction you want! Of course, it has to be fired diagonally, though it does ricochet.

Alice's Final Smash is Balloon Fish, a simple yet effective offensive technique that calls forth the mighty Balloon Fish to attack her foes. The fish leaps out of the water three times, gaining height each time- contact with the fish deals heavy damage, and on the final leap, it can even swallow opponents for a one-hit KO! Alice may be an unorthodox character, but her floatiness can be both a curse and a fantastic blessing.

Of course, she's nowhere near as complex as our first third-party character!

AgnèsMillennium

Agnès Oblige enters the fray! One of the four protagonists of 3DS RPG Bravely Default- the other three of whom are alternate skins- Agnès is the Vestal of Wind and one of the four heroes charged with defending her world from disaster. In Shift, Agnès is one of the most complex fighters to have ever appeared in the series, relying on the unique BP system to become a combo-centric character that lets players go wild with amazing and awe-inspiring combo attacks. On the surface, she seems very generic- she is a fist fighter with a charged projectile side special in Fire/Fira/Firaga, a Jump attack with good height that can be turned into a downwards strike, and a Reflect spell that can be dodged out of to leave the barrier behind temporarily and disorient opponents.

However, Agnès possesses a mechanic known as BP, or Brave Points, showcased as orbs above her percentage in a reference to Octopath Traveler. BP is built up by either dealing damage or over time while guarding, which is called Defaulting. Agnès's neutral special, Brave, can only be used for a few seconds after an opponent is launched, and timing it just right causes her to almost fly right to the opponent and enables the player to add in another input to keep the combo going. Any input works out of Braving- even footstooling, if you so desire! Every use of Brave costs 1 BP, and the player can have up to 3 spare BP banked at once- you can go into the negatives, but this ensures you'll have to work back up before using Brave again. The sheer versatility of this move means that Agnès's greatest weapon is the player's ingenuity- make your best possible combo for any situation!

Agnès's Final Smash is Bravely Second, a magical ability that turns everything monochrome for 5 seconds aside from the player and their opponents. While Bravely Second is in effect, time is stopped, and not even the in-game match timer progresses. This means that the player can either take time to build up BP, save themselves from death by cancelling momentum, or wail on opponents to launch them far when time is up!

We hope you enjoy the look of these new characters!

Game Reveal 2[]

The trailer begins with a pure orange room. Everything is silent until a rumble appears and a crack forms from the ground. After a few more rumbles, the ground bursts open to reveal none other than Mario jumping from the ground, waving hello to the viewer as the orange changes to blue. He looks upwards as Peach gently glides downwards, landing on the ground to also greet the player. A growl and feminine laugh from off screen cause both to look to the right, where Bowser and Princess Rose are seen looking at a slab of solid gold. Noticing the plumber and princess, the latter pair glare and run off, prompting the former pair to chase them offscreen.

A multitude of gameplay scenes are showcased.

  • Mario is shown platforming in a Renaissance-era town with grassland and water elements, resembling Cloudy Court Galaxy in some respects. A large windmill can be seen in the far distance, and both Whittles and a new species with fan-like feathers atop their head can be seen in the town.
  • Another scene with Mario is showcased, demonstrating the lack of his Firebrand abilities from the original Voyage title. He is showcased in a theme park stage at nighttime, fending off shadowy jester-like creatures that resemble Goombas with agile jumping skills- no use of Firebrand abilities appears to occur.
  • Princess Peach is showcased in action once again, gently gliding downwards with her parasol in a jungle-like area with curling insect-like vines climbing across the walls. A large temple resembling a scorpion can be seen in the background.
  • Peach is shown in another scene inside a large tower resembling a syringe, undergoing an intense platforming sequence. Her lack of Aquahand abilities is also highlighted.
  • Gameplay switches to a sequence of Bowser and Rose standing side by side in an underground subarea, with Rose leaping offscreen as Bowser roars. Gameplay of Bowser being controlled in said area is showcased, as he exhibits slashing attacks and firebreath similar to his appearance in Odyssey.
  • Rose is also showcased to be playable in a starlit stage set in a snowy Christmas-themed village, utilizing a double jump technique as well as a small shuriken-like projectile as platforming tools.
  • A pair of new characters are seen feuding with one another- one of them resembles a young Aztec girl wielding a small wooden staff, and the other is a small creature in an orange hoodie, a circular shield strapped to their back. The cause of their argument is unknown.
  • Gameplay of the Aztec girl is shown, showcasing her unique diving attack and spinning melee attacks. She is also seen stabbing her staff into the ground and polevaulting with it to cover a large gap. The stage showcased is a Russian-inspired castle in the sky, large balloons dotting the landscape.
  • Gameplay switches to the robed entity, who is shown surfing on his shield in a spooky swamp area. He then inserts the shield into a moon-shaped hole in a brick wall, creating a 2D sprite-based puzzle on said wall which seems to involve navigating a ball.
  • Mario, Peach, and the Aztec character are shown facing off against Bowser, Rose, and the shield character in some form of gothic-inspired arena. Both charge at each other as if to battle.

The reveal ends with a logo appearing on the golden slab:

Day 2[]

Boundless Character Reveal[]

BoundlessLogoS3

Boundless Season 3 is upon us! Much like the game's Season 2 update, Season 3 will bring us a new cast of 10 characters, balance adjustments, some new modes, and a new update to the game's Arcade mode, featuring new story elements! Let's meet some of the new cast now, shall we?

Eidolia

Doctor Eidolia Viara is the new CEO and head scientist of Hextermina Labs after the arrest of its founder, Malphea Kiurala. Rather than focusing on genetic research, Eidolia is reorienting part of the company to focus on the development of hardlight technology, which she believes has a greater capacity to help the world than Malphea's experiments. She has entered the Boundless Tournament for a single season to act as a form of goodwill message, helping to ease people's concerns about Hextermina Labs. She can come off as a bit ditzy, though, and her constant use of a VR headset makes her seem detached from reality.

Eidolia's moveset is a powerful one built around the use of hardlight weaponry, summoning giant fists and pistols to amplify her moves and increase their power drastically. This is handled via her special Pale Gauge, a meter that goes up when she collects Pale Energy that pops out of opponents she strikes. Holding down button inputs increases the size of the hardlight attack and drains Pale Gauge, making battles an interesting balancing act.

Kaneo

Police officer Kaneo Spiranta is one of the best in Orenia, being sent to track down criminal and outlaw Iron Sight. Knowing that he has evaded the law by acting as a Boundless tournament fighter, he enters the tournament himself to catch the madman. A determined and fierce officer of justice, he will do anything it takes to bring Iron Sight down.

Kaneo's signature ability is his standard Orenian stun gun, which fires bolts of paralytic energy at targets to stun them. While Kaneo's fighting style is agile and energetic, his kill moves have a larger amount of startup time than normal, which is where the applications of his stun gun come in. By pressing the special button within a certain time after attacking, Kaneo will fire an electric bullet that stuns the opponent temporarily, with stun time lasting longer the higher damage the victim has. Chain together combos with precise stunning to create a powerful and versatile character!

We hope you are excited for Season 3 of one of our most beloved projects!

Shift Character Reveals 2[]

Time for some more newcomers to Super Smash Bros. Shift!

Hyrule Warriors - Lana Book Artwork

Lana, sorceress of time, enters the fray with her unique summoning magics! A bright and perky mage with a heart of pure gold, Lana has the ability to summon glass barriers in the middle of the battlefield, granting her not only defensive options, but movement and offensive ones as well. She can strike the barriers at various angles to cause different attacks, or use her down special, Slide Kick, to leap over them, causing them to explode. Her side special, Lightning Chain, is an explosive ranged attack that also enables her to summon barriers at much further range than normal! Using these impenetrable electric barriers to your advantage is the key to playing as Lana! Her Final Smash is Gate of Summoning, in which she summons a rolling King Dodongo to run over opponents.

802MarshadowAttack

Marshadow the Gloomdweller Pokémon busts into battle with his powerful fighting skills! Marshadow is short and stubby, hampering his range somewhat, but his moves can be very strong if they manage to hit right, and he has exceptional recovery skills with his highly powerful Jump Kick up special. His neutral special is the unique ability of Spectral Thief, a shadowy pillar of spectral fire that not only reduces various stats of the opponents it strikes, but also transfers them to Marshadow to make him even stronger! Marshadow's Final Smash is Soul-Stealing 7-Star Strike, a lunge attack that causes the user to invade the soul of whoever it first strikes, dealing massive damage and stealing even more stats from the victim before launching them. Marshadow can be an oppressive foe in the right hands, but be wary of his short range!

KSA Marx

The cosmic jester Marx appears to wreak havoc once again! This nutcase plays quite similarly to his Dream Friend appearance in Star Allies, being able to summon explosive balls on the ground and ride atop them for increased mobility. Of course, he is once again a more frightful combatant when he takes flight- his simple Ball Toss special transforms into Ball Bomb, a powerful airstrike attack, and his Divebomb attack gains a new level of versatility as he can now phase into the ground before popping back out. If he's knocked out of the air, though, he's in trouble... Marx's Final Smash is Black Hole, which swallows up anything that happens to be around him for an instant kill. Very frightening indeed!

489px-Aeron

Aeron is the protagonist of Pandora's Tower, a Wii action-RPG in which the player is tasked with climbing multiple towers in search of healing a young woman's disease by obtaining the flesh of monsters called the Masters. Throught his adventure, Aeron's main weapon is the Oraclos Chain, which becomes his neutral special in this game. By holding the button down, Aeron can aim the chain in any direction and fire it forward, letting him tether recover if need be. If the chain grabs an enemy, Aeron can flick the stick in many directions to toss them where he wants- drag them towards him, toss them around, or mash the button to heat the chain and deal extra damage. It's one of the most versatile moves in the game! Aeron's Final Smash is Maximum Chain, which supercharges the Oraclos Chain to the point where it is able to pierce through enemies and deal heavy damage for a heavy cone-shaped attack!

And now, our first third-party character!

Morrigan-project-x-zone

Morrigan, de facto star of the Darkstalkers fighting franchise, makes the move to Smash Bros. for the first time! Much like fellow Capcom character Ryu, Morrigan is an exceedingly technical character who can be played more like her home game than Smash, though she is still simplified enough to be mastered by newcomers. Classic moves such as Soul Fist, Shadow Blade and Vector Drain return, with their classic inputs able to be triggered for smooth, streamlined combat, and her unique vertical dashing capabilities grant her exceptional air mobility. Like Ryu, she also has two Final Smashes; the self-duplicating combo Darkness Illusion up close, and the missile barrage Finishing Shower from far away.

We hope you're excited for these newcomers to shift gears and join the smash!

Day 3[]

Game Reveal 3[]

The trailer begins with glowing green lines akin to a circuit board converging in the center of a black screen, eventually merging into an eye shape. The eye glows before a fade to white, after which a white-haired man with pointy ears wakes up in a small bed. They tumble out to reveal their surroundings, which appear to be a dormitory of sorts with other individuals lined up in bed. The man notices a green glowing wire hooked up to their upper arm, and attempt to remove it before they are interrupted by a blond woman in similarly glowing robes.

"Link... It's okay. We're ready for your testing now."

Gameplay resumes, showcasing the white-haired individual- apparently Link- being led to a command center of sorts, where he is introduced by the blond woman to another woman in more ornate robes, wearing an elaborate headdress that obscures her eyes. The woman waves her hand and the barely-clothed Link is given a set of similarly neon-tinged clothes, as well as an arcane-looking sword, shield, and bow.

Combat is showcased, showing Link fighting off robotic versions of Bokoblin and Moblins that resemble a mixture of Sheikah and Twili technology. Sword combat is shown to be more robust than in Breath of the Wild, with a wider variety of techniques available based on past games as well as a new overhead heavy swing. The returning Flurry Rush technique is showcased as Link dodges a strike perfectly, as well as arrow-based combat, showing that a cooldown meter now controls Link's advanced bow instead of using physical arrows.

The player's map is shown for the first time- notably, the map is a 3D construct rather than a top-down map, and the overworld appears to be a massive structure or dungeon rather than a typical overworld. Two tabs can be seen on the map- Hylia Map and Trial Map- and as the player swaps between them, the 3D map fades out to reveal diamond-shaped icons.

Link is shown summoning a wide variety of items via use of some form of summoning magic- among those seen are a large hammer burning with scarlet flames, a trio of floating gears, an updated version of the classic bomb item, and a dark blue gauntlet with a chain wrapped around it. Link is shown exploring the dungeon-style overworld with these items, encountering a Goron and a female Hylian wearing similar clothing to him.

Link is shown encountering a large doorframe-like object that extends a glowing wire from within itself, embedding into his upper arm again. A menu screen appears, listing the frame as "Trial of Origin" as well as showing what appears to be a list of Link's items, some of which are blanked out. The player accepts and the door frame opens up into a large frame of green light.

More combat scenes are showcased in varying environments, showing Link in battle with varying enemies including a robotic jellyfish, what appear to be long-haired women with spears made of ethereal energy, and a Talus-like construct with a glass dome containing magma, which the enemy vomits out to attack. Interestingly, every environment has similar circuitry lines running up and down pieces of the environment, and in one scene, Link appears to have a female design instead of a male one.

A small snippet of gameplay in what appears to be a town-like area is showcased, with Link offering the blond woman an item called the Bloodflower. She reacts happily and a textbox pops up, revealing her name as Zelda. A heart beside her textbox appears for a few frames as well.

A final scene is showcased of Link facing down a massive boss, a robotic creature with red and blue lines running across its body and wielding dual swords, one covered in ice and one in fire. Link aims an arrow as the boss approaches, and the two collide as a logo reveals itself.

Game Reveal 4[]

The trailer begins with a panning shot over a beautiful forest, an ancient building covered in moss and red flowers. A white streak flashes over the environment as what appears to be a yo-yo wraps around a lamppost, with a young girl swinging in to check out the building. She looks to examine a pedestal inside the building, which holds a clear orb with a bright silver light inside. The girl reaches over to grab the orb, but as she does so, two wind-up robots emerge from the sides, attempting to attack her. She brandishes her yo-yo to fend off the attackers as a game logo emerges.

VessaLogo

Vessa is a 3D collectathon platformer inspired by plenty of games, including A Hat in Time, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Odyssey, and Kirby Super Star. Though the inspirations are vast, we aim to have a unique platformer experience based around fun platforming controls, fun and fascinating worlds, and a sense of discovery to mimic that childhood feeling of playing games like Mario 64. Let's jump in!

Vessa

Meet our protagonist, Vessa! A young inventor who resides in the world of Lostways, Vessa dreams of one day becoming a famous adventurer like her idol, Lord Hallan, and escaping her dreary life of scrounging around in the scrapyard where she lives. Her big break at saving the day comes sooner than she expects, as Lord Hallan's daughter, Esselia, falls victim to a strange magitechnic disease, and Hallan vanishes while trying to search for a cure. With nobody else able to step up, Vessa takes her trusty yo-yo and ventures out into the world!

Vessa's list of abilities seems rather simple at base value, but it's designed to be fluid and agile, making for a fun experience. She has a simple jump and dive move to gain height and distance, as well as her yo-yo as a melee attacking tool capable of both combos and spin attacks in the air. The yo-yo is also an effective grappling hook, letting her grab onto environmental objects to bring them to her or vice versa. She can also ground-pound, ground-pound jump, and perform a rising spin attack by spinning on her yo-yo after a ground-pound.

Vessa's main objective is the glowing silver Energy Cores, which are often hidden behind major objectives like standard platforming levels. These cores can be used to help revert Esselia's condition, as well as open paths to future levels. She can also collect Scrap, bits of spare metal that can be spent to create Charms to amplify or alter her playstyle. Energy Cores are comparable to Power Stars, whereas the more plentiful Scrap can be compared to Power Moons.

From the lush green overgrown ruins of Greengrove to the frozen titan embedded in Mt. Jotun to the wave-like sand formations found in Kalana Sandsea, the worlds in Vessa are varied and full of secrets to uncover. They are all unified in their structure, however, in that they utilize a progression system known as Phases. Each Phase is a different variant on the same map, with subtle changes such as NPC differences or environmental details, and each has a primary overarching goal that results in an Energy Core. While Scrap can occasionally overlap between Phases, it is usually different dependent on the Phase, giving reasons to explore these variants intensely, especially for Warp Points that let you explore areas normally inaccessible in some Phases. After obtaining an Energy Core, you have the choice to progress to the next Phase, stay in your current Phase, or return to the hub area of Lostways Castle.

We hope you are excited for the debut of Vessa!

Shift Reveal 3[]

Time for the end of the direct- more Shift newcomers, this time all third-parties! They might be a bit unorthodox for this category, but let's have at 'em anyway!

Arle-0

Arle from the hit puzzle series Puyo Puyo jumps into her first fighting game experience! Much like her home series, Arle's all about setting up combos, letting an avalanche of damage pile atop her enemies! Her neutral special is Puyo Drop, and it lets her summon a bursting Puyo in front of her as an attack- the higher her combo currently is, the larger it becomes and the bigger the burst is. Arle is also a mage-melee hybrid character, combining powerful melee attacks like the Diacute diamond kick attack with ranged moves like Fire and Ice Storm. Arle's a quirky character that takes plenty of practice to master- much like her game! Her Final Smash is Big Bang, a black hole attack that drags in Puyos into a spot in front of her while drawing in enemies to unleash a giant explosive finisher!

Gunvolt

Gunvolt from the Azure Striker Gunvolt series enters the fray, demonstrating his unique adept psychic powers and gunmanship to deliver a unique style of combat. Much like Plasma Kirby from Star Allies, Gunvolt generates electric charge as the control stick is mashed in different directions, resulting in the generation of an electric forcefield around him. This field not only negates certain projectiles at max strength, but if Gunvolt has tagged an opponent with his neutral special Tag Bullet, the shield will gradually leak energy to slowly damage that target over time. Up to three tags can be placed, be it on multiple targets or all on one opponent- the more tags, the more damage it deals. With his agile dashing and jumping skills, Gunvolt is a truly unique footsies-style fighter. His Final Smash is Atmasphere, a powerful orb of electricity that deals massive damage to everything surrounding Gunvolt.

Wonder Red

Wonder-Red, leader of the superhero team known as The Wonderful 101, takes his talents to the world of Smash Bros. to fight for truth and justice once more! Red is typically a very all-around fighter who attacks with simple punches and kicks, as well as some unorthodox offensive specials such as Unite Tombstone and Unite Spring. His neutral special, however, is Unite Charge, which summons a massive hardlight fist around his own and changes his playstyle immensely. By using Unite Charge, the range and power of all the player's attacks become much higher, with holding the button resulting in even bigger Unite Morphs. However, these Unite Morphs also result in slower movement, creating a weakness enemies may exploit to break the buff. Be careful- great power comes with great responsibility! Wonder-Red's Final Smash is Wonderful Forever, a laser attack that deals heavy damage and can be aimed in 360 degrees while firing. How versatile!

The Knight

The Knight is the protagonist of indie Metroidvania title Hollow Knight- a creature of pure void inside the shell of a simple bug, designed to seal away an ancient god for the good of a fallen kingdom. The Knight's moveset is exceptionally simple- mainly just sword swipes, though his down air does let him bounce off opponents- but he possesses very powerful specials governed by a Soul meter. Soul builds as the Knight attacks foes, and is spent when he performs a Neutral, Up, or Down special. The Knight was designed to play faithfully to his title, resulting in a more unorthodox playstyle centered around careful defensive play- though he is a lightweight, it is able to Focus Soul by holding down neutral B, which drains the resource to heal the player on command! The Knight's Final Smash is Dream Nail, a trapping attack that deals massive damage in a single stroke to anybody in front of the player.

My, my... who's this last reveal?

Vessa

Why, it's Vessa again! Representing her own game for the new generation on the Onyx, Vessa is another all-around character similar to that of Mario. Her yo-yo is a powerful and versatile weapon- used far more than Ness's yo-yo- and she has specials that hearken back to power-ups in her home game. She's another simple, classic Smash character that's fun for newcomers and veterans alike- her Final Smash, Energy Core, being no exception, essentially acting as a cone-shaped beam of energy comparable to Mario Finale.

We hope you are excited for all the games and content we have to offer!

Until next time, everyone!
