Finally, the victory fanfare is replaced with the level complete theme from UNiPON.

Please..." before exiting the stage. Most other Sound Effects are from Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask.

When the Earth Moves, it rolls instead of having a running animation, however it rolls axially so all the continents are visible through one complete movement. When the Earth Jumps, the sound of birds are heard and when it lands there is a large splashing sound. The rest of the Sound Effects are the same as Mario's. When the Earth completes a level the sound of 7 Billion Cheering is heard, when the Earth dies from a pitfall, there will be the sound of something hurtling away from the player and suddenly many things hurtling closer as the player watches Venus fall down the hole, followed by Mercury and then the Sun comes crashing down and wipes out the whole level.

When acquiring the Mystery Mushroom containing Sponge, the music beings to be played in a minor D key and Sponge says "I'm not happy.". When in a Castle level, Bowser will be replaced by Mario and Toad will be replaced by a ghost saying "I'm sorry Sponge, but no princess will ever love you.". His Game Over jingle is the same as the on in Tomodachi Life when something bad happens to one of the islanders. His Level Clear theme is a small tidbit of David Bowie's Ziggy Star. If the player is a water level as Sponge, when getting out of the water, his mustache grows.
