Nintendo vs. Disney (stylized as Nintendo: "The Smashing Senation!" vs. Disney: "The Dreammaker!") is a crossover fighting game for the Nintendo Switch, made by Crash Co. It is a crossover fighting game between several franchises and properties from Nintendo and Disney. The game takes place in a separate continuity where the Nintendo and Disney characters are in their own universes, which combine into each other.

Story Mode

The game features two story modes; The Smash Showdown and The Dream Battle. Both of them follow the same overall plot, but feature different perspectives.

The game's story sees both of the worlds colliding with each other thanks to the efforts of "The Nightmare Regime", consisting of Nintendo and Disney villains, co-headed by Bowser and Maleficent. The heroes of these worlds, at first, are put into war, thinking each other is the enemy. On each side though, a small group of heroes uncover the Nightmare Regime, and decide to make an alliance with everyone to stop the villains and set everything straight again.

Gameplay

Gameplay is similar to the Street Fighter or Tekken series, being two-dimensional and combo-oriented. As with most traditional fighting games, players can perform combos by chaining attacks. Every character has a selection of light, medium, and heavy attacks; light attacks are generally weaker and used for chaining combos, while heavy attacks are stronger but slower, making them effective finishers. All characters also have access to a selection of special attacks.

The main goal in each match is to deplete the opposing fighter's health meter. Whoever knocks down the opponent by doing so will win the round, and the first one to win twice will win the match.

Fans

Before fighting, players can choose a Fan, a child dressed as one of the fighters. In combat, players can gradually fill a gauge called the Fan Gauge by landing attacks and pulling off combos. Once filled, the player can summon their selected Fan, who will perform a powerful attack called the Fan Blast, based on the character they are dressed up as.

It should be noted that Fan Blasts are not specific to one character, and can all be selected. For example, Mario can use Mickey Mouse's Fan Blast.

Characters

The game features a massive roster, consisting of Nintendo and Disney's characters. Each character on one side has been paired with another character on the other side, called their "rival". Guest characters also make an appearance.

Mario	Mario is the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom. He has gone on many adventures to save Princess Peach from Bowser's grasp. However, he has also taken up a number of number of hobbies in his free time, from go-kart racing to competing in the Olympic games. Many of his attacks revolve around use of his various power-up transformations, from throwing fireballs as Fire Mario to spinning around as Tanooki Mario. He additionally utilizes F.L.U.D.D., Baby Luma, and Cappy, who help him in battle. Donkey Kong - 1981	Mickey Mouse
	Mickey Mouse is a small mouse, easily identified by his large ears and signature red pants. His most defining character traits include his goodwill and charisma, though in contrast has also shown to be mischievous, which more often than not gets him into trouble. He does have a clever mind, and can get out of almost any situation. To attack, Mickey specializes in close-quarters combat, using several everyday objects such as flower pots, shoes, and telephones as weapons. He is also quick quick on the ground. Bowser	Bowser is the king of Koopas, and has often kidnapped Peach in order to either marry her or take over the Mushroom Kingdom. Thanks to Mario though, his plans almost never work, and sometimes he even finds himself on Mario's side. He is one of the strongest fighters in the game, possessing poweful attacks that deal heavy damage, but aren't that good for combos, which translates even into his light attacks. Certain abilities of his include his fire breath, throwing hammers, and summoning minions such as Thwomps and Hammer Bros. Super Mario Bros. - 1985	Maleficent
	Maleficent is an evil fairy, as well as the incarnation of all evil. She is the source of all of misfortune in King Stefan's kingdom. As revenge for not inviting her to Aurora's christening, she curses her to die at the age of 16 when she pricks the spindle of a spinning wheel. A master of dark magic, she utilizes her staff in combat. She can inflict various effects on her opponents, making them slower or weaker. This also allows her to keep her distance. She can, however, wade in when she needs to. Sleeping Beauty - 1959
Pikachu	Pikachu is an Electric-type Mouse Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It is the evolution of Pichu, and it evolves into Raichu. Notable for its ability to store electricity in its cheeks and its cute appearance, Pikachu is one of the most popular Pokémon in the world. Its ability to pepper opponents with electricity is utilized in its moveset. It can use attacks such as Thunder to shock opponents around itself, and Electro Ball to fire a ball of electricity forward. Pokémon Green - 1996	Stitch
	Experiment 626, better known as Stitch is an artificial life form created by Dr. Jumba Jookiba, who's sole goal is to cause chaos. He is chased by the Galactic Federation and ends up in Hawaii, where a little girl named Lilo adopts him, thinking he is a dog. In this game, Stitch is an agile fighter who utilizes four pistols, one in each hand. This gives him good range, and his quick speed allows for long combo chains. Lilo & Stitch - 2002
Samus	Samus is an intergalactic bounty hunter, who sets out to eliminate threats in the galaxy, namely the Space Pirates. She was orphaned at age three, and was soon taken in by the Chozo alien race and trained in the fighting arts. Despite being normally found in her Power Suit, she appears in her Zero Suit in this game. She is armed with her Paralyzer, which can fire beams and transform into a whip to stun opponents, and also has rocket boots that let her boost around the arena. Metroid - 1986	Kim Possible
	Kim Possible is a teenage girl hailing from Middletown. Confident, brave, and sharp, she works as a freelancer hero, and often needs to balance fending off villains with her everyday life at high school (though despite this she has no "secret identity"). In battle, Kim is quick and agile, allowing her to combo opponents and rack up damage. She uses several weapons to take out enemies, such as a grappling hook to grab onto enemies and slam into them or a blaster to fire long-ranged shots. Kim Possible - 2002
Link	"Link" is the name given to the wielder of the Triforce of Courage. There have been multiple Links throughout time, each with different quirks and strengths. This Link originates from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Using the Master Sword, Link can land slashes from a distance. He can also use the Champions' abilities to increase his strength and deal with opponents easier. The Legend of Zelda - 1986	Peter Pan
	Peter Pan is a young boy hailing from Neverland, and is the current leader of the Lost Boys. He travels all the way from Neverland to London to hear stories of him from a girl named Wendy, which leads him to take her and her brothers on an adventure through Neverland. In battle, while some other characters are able to fly, Peter Pan is able to remain airborne for long strings of time, allowing him to dip in and out of the fray. His attacks overall are weak, but good for combos. He can also throw pixie dust at opponents, causing them to remain airborne for a short time. Peter Pan - 1953
Zelda	"Zelda" is the name given to all of the princesses of Hyrule by tradition, as well as the wielder of the Triforce of Wisdom. As with Link, there is no one Zelda, and many have been prominent throughout time, with this one originating from The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. In battle, Zelda relies on her magic prowess to deal with opponents. Though most of her attacks are not suited for combos, they deal heavy damage. The Legend of Zelda - 1986	Aurora
	Auora was a young princess, but after Maleficent cursed her to die at the age of 16 after touching the spindle of a spinning wheel, she was escorted out of the kingdom to be raised by three fairies. Later, she would go on to regain her place in the kingdom. Though she herself doesn't really battle opponents, her three fairies do. They're rather weak, making them good for comboing opponents, but damage output is rather low. Sleeping Beauty - 1959
Wario	Wario is Mario's greedy, obese, yellow-in-clad rival. He has butted heads with Mario on more than one occasion, and has even captured his castle once. He has gone on his own adventures however, to searching for hidden treasure to running a video game company. In battle, Wario utilizes an unorthodox selection of moves, from rushing down enemies with his Dash Attack, to trying to run them over with the Wario Bike. 	Pete is an obese cat and Mickey's arch-rival. Self-serving and arrogant, he is known for wrecking havoc on everyone around him and his dangerously short temper. He takes great pride in this however, and even causes harm for mere pleasure. A heavyweight fighter, Pete's weapons include large, painful objects like maces, hammers, and clubs, making him good for dealing damage to opponents. He is slow however, and as such has a hard time pulling off combos. Alice Comedies - 1925
Isabelle	Isabelle is a dog who serves as the secretary for the mayor of the town in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. As the mayor's assistant, she keeps them up-to-date on the town's status, and suggests new projects that can be done to improve it. Additionally, she also has a crush on K.K. Slider. In battle, she fights by throwing fruit at opponents and using items like boxes and clipboards as weapons. She may also yawn, which can put the opponent to sleep if they are in front of her. 	Joy is one of Riley's five emotions, who reside in her mind and help her get from day to day. As her name suggests, Joy is responsible for keeping Riley happy, and as such serves as the leader of the group, though despite this, she holds some negative stigma against the other emotions. Joy is a quick fighter in combat, and has a floating ability as well, allowing for some aerial combos. She can also attack with Memory Orbs, which bounce across the ground and off of sides of the screen, damaging opponents. Inside Out - 2015
Yoshi	Yoshi is a dinosaur-like creature that is an ally of Mario. He often helps him on his quests to rescue Peach. He additionally helped the Mario Bros. reunite with each other when they were babies. In battle, Yoshi can swallow opponents and transform them into eggs, leaving them vulnerable. He may also throw eggs at opponents, and use his signature Flutter Jump to become airborne and use aerial attacks. Super Mario World - 1991	Donald Duck
	Donald Duck is a duck and one of Mickey Mouse's best friends. Known for his extremely short temper and "duck" speech patterns, he has a love-hate relationship with most of his friends, though ultimately means well. he has a unique "rage meter" in this game that fills up as he takes damage. Once filled, he will become bright-red and enraged for the rest of the round, becoming faster and stronger. Many of his attacks are also fire-enhanced in this state. The Wise Little Hen - 1934
Donkey Kong	Donkey Kong is a large ape and the hero of Donkey Kong Island. He often lives his carefree life by eating bananas and hanging out with his friends, but is the first to jump headfirst into action when his Banana Hoard is in danger. He is a heavyweight fighter with a lot of range, being able to lay heavy attacks. He can throw heavy punches, toss Barrels that roll across the ground, and slam the ground with his hands. 	Wreck-It Ralph is the main antagonist of the arcade game Fix-It Felix Jr.. However, he has a good heart and secretly wants to become the hero for once. This leads to him jumping between games, going from games such as Hero's Duty and Sugar Rush in order to obtain a hero's medal. With great strength and heavy attacks, Wreck-It Ralph is one of the strongest characters in the game. He ican punch the ground to create tremors, as well as smash piles bricks and throw bottles forward. Wreck-It Ralph - 2012
Kirby	Kirby is a small, round creature that hails from Planet Popstar. He is kind and innocent, but has a sense of justice and will jump headfirst into action when trouble in Dream Land arises. He has the unique ability to inhale enemies and copy their abilities. This translates to his fighting style; Kirby can inhale an opponent and copy their special attacks. He can also discard the ability at will by using the move again. In his default moveset, he utilizes several copy abilities from his adventures, including Beam, Sword, Wheel, Suplex, Hammer, and Yo-Yo. Kirby's Dream Land - 1992	Winnie-the-Pooh
	Winnie-the-Pooh is a stuffed animal owned by Christopher Robin, and lives in the Hundred Acre Wood with his friends. he is nice and has a sense of goodwill, always wanting to do things right. However, being "a bear of very little brain", as he puts it, he can often get confused or puzzled. In combat, Winnie-the-Pooh is a slow, heavyweight fighter that has slow, yet powerful attacks. He can slather opponents in honey with his Hunny Pots, which makes them slower and more vulnerable. The Many Adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh - 1977
Popplio	Popplio is a Water-type Sea Lion Pokémon introduced in Generation VII. It evolves into Brionne, which evlves into Primarina, and is notable for being one of the Alolan starter Pokémon. It is able to create water balloons and balance them on his nose, and can swim through water at 25mph. In battle, Popplio will mainly use water attacks to deal with opponents. Some notable examples include Water Gun, which can push opponents, and Surf, which has it dash forward on a wave of water, damaging opponents. Pokémon Sun amnd Pokémon Moon - 2016	Dumbo
	Dumbo is a young elephant raised by circus elephants. However, he became shunned after failing all of his stunts. Later though, he discovers that he can fly using his two large ears, making him the best performer in the circus. He is a heavyweight fighter in this game despite his young age. His ground attacks are strong, but his ears can achieve aerial mobility and land attacks from above. Dumbo - 1941
Dillon	Dillon, also called "The Red Flash", is an armadillo who, along with his partner Russ, becomes a ranger to pay off a deed for their childhood home. In doing so, they actually defend several villages and become heroes. He is a quick fighter in combat, having abilities such as rolling forward as a ball to pulling out pistols and firing, which deal decent damage and are good for comboing opponents. 	Sheriff Woody is a cowboy doll owned by Andy, and is his favorite toy. On his birthday though, Andy gets a Buzz Lightyear action figure, who quickly usurps Woody as the favorite toy. Jealous, he gets rid of Buzz, but soon goes lost himself to, and must find a way back to Andy. Woody uses different toys to attack, such as balls, building blocks, and jumpropes (used as lassos). He can also summon Bullseye to gelp him fend off opponents. Toy Story - 1955
Luigi	Luigi is Mario's younger, cowardly twin brother who often tags along with him on his adventures. Though scared and sometimes unwilling to fight, he can hold his own when he needs to, and has even traveled through a haunted mansion to rescue Mario. Luigi's fighting style is silly and unorthodox, as he often deals damage with mistakes, such as tripping and falling over. However, he is armed with the Poltergust 5000, which can suck in opponents and spit them back out. Mario Bros. - 1983	Goofy
	Goofy is one of Mickey's best friends. He is a tall, clumsy, bumbling dog who brings comic relief but is also shown to be friendly, responsible, perceptive, and cowardly at times. Besides swinging his arms and kicking in circles while dancing, he can use items from the sports he played. Mickey's Revue - 1932
Lucina	Lucina is the princess of Ylisse and the daughter of Chrom, having the Mark of Naga on her left eye. She travels back in time to save the world from the resurrection of Grima, disguising herself as her ancestor Marth to hide her identity. Wielding the Parallel Falchion, she can attack enemies from afar with quick sword strikes. Though skilled with combos, her abilities are relatively weak in actual damage output. 	Fa Mulan is a young woman who decides to secretly take her aging father's place in war, disguising herself as a male. On her journey, she teams up with a small dragon named Mushu, who claims to be a powerful being sent by her ancestors to help her on her quest. Mulan herself attacks for most of the moves, utilizing weapons such as fans and a sword, though Mushu can also attack by bretahing fire at enemies. Mulan - 1998
Fox McCloud	Fox McCloud is the leader of the Star Fox mercenary team, who patrol the Lylat System to protect it from danger. They pilot in ships called Arwings, which are armed with force fields and laser cannons which can take out enemy ships. Fox is a fast character in combat, and is able to pull off long combos thanks to his fast attack. He is armed with his blaster, his reflector that can reflect projectiles, and a beacon he can place that allows him to summon his Arwing, which flies by and blasts it. Star Fox - 1983	Buzz Lightyear
	Buzz Lightyear is an action figure toy that Andy gets for his birthday. He quickly becomes his favorite toy, usurping Woody and making him jealous. Despite being a toy, he thinks he is an actual space ranger, though eventually comes to his senses and joins the rest of the toys. He is quick on the ground and specializes in close-quarters combat. He can karate chop opponents, fire lasers, and glide through the air with his wings, firing lasers below. Toy Story - 1995
Rex and Pyra	Rex is a young Driver who harnesses the power of the Blade Pyra. Rex is devoted to protecting her, and together, they explore the world to find her long-lost home of Elysium. In battle, Rex fights off the opponents while Pyra stands in the sidelines. Rex's main attacks consist of slashes from the Aegis sword, providing good range and damage. Meanwhile, Pyra can help Rex in some of his stronger attacks by empowering them with fire. She can also cause Rex to enter a state where all of his attacks are fire-enhanced for a short time. 	Mike Wazowski and James "Sulley" P. Sullivan are a duo of monsters who work at Monsters, Inc. Together, they travel into the Human World through childrens' closets to scare them, which generates to energy for the Monster World. Though the two started as rivals in college, they became best friends over time. In this game, Sulley does most of the fighting while Mike cheers him on from the sidelines. Sulley is a heavyweight that specializes in heavy attacks and distancing himself from opponents. Mike can provide Scare Canisters for Sulley to attack opponents with, and sometimes he himself can hop in and attack for Sulley. Monsters, Inc. - 2001
Ness	Ness is a young boy hailing from Onett. He is gifted with the power of PSI, allowing him to use abilitie such as teleportation, pyrokinesis, telekinesis, and pyschokinesis. After a meteor strikes, a small creature called Buzz Buzz warns Ness of an impeding attack, so he sets out on a life-changing journey to stop it. Ness uses different PSI abilities in this game, from PK Fire to PK Thunder. He can also charge up for a powerful attack called PK Rockin', though it leaves him vulnerable for a short time. 	Dipper Pines is a young boy who moves to a strange place called Gravity Falls for the Summer. While there, he discovers many mysteries surrounding the place, all of which are chronicled in an old book he finds, so throughout his stay he tries to find all the secrets. In this game, he is armed with this book, which he uses to summon many beasts and monsters from Gravity Falls to attack opponents. He can also cast spells that negatively affect opponents. Lucas	Lucas is a young boy from the Nowhere Islands, gifted with PSI. His mother only dies when he is only 13-years-old, and afterwards he gets pulled into an adventure to stop the Pig Army from taking over the world. In this game, like Ness, Lucas uses PSI abilities. He uses them less often however, and sometimes uses a stick or his personal Rope Snake to fend off opponents from a distance. Mother 3 - 2006	Mabel Pines
	Mabel Pines is a the twin sister of Dipper Pines, who goes with him to Gravity Falls for the Summer. While her brother is more careful and knowledgeable, Mabel is carefree and mischievous. Additionally, she is also known for wearing several different sweaters. In combat, Mabel's main weapon is a grappling hook, which provides her with ranged combat. She can also summon her pet pig Waddles. Gravity Falls - 2012
Mega Kangaskhan	Mega Kangaskhan is the Mega Evolution of Kangashkan, a Normal-type Parent Pokémon introduced in Generation I. Interestingly, unlike other Mega Evolutions, Kanhaskhan itself doesn't evolve, but the child does. This allows the child to fight alongside its mother, which it does in this game. The child is often sitting in Kangaskhan's pouch while the mother uses most of the attacks. Occasinally though, the child can use moves such as Bite and Sucker Punch to damage opponents. 	Kanga and Roo are a duo of stuffed animals that are owned by Christopher Robin, and live together in a house in the Hundred Acre Wood. While Kanga is more calm and easygoing, her child Roo is rambunctious, playful, and mischievous. The two are also friends with Tigger. In battle, Roo often stays in Kanga's pouch, who attacks with her feet and tail. Sometimes though, Roo can jump out and attack with his tail, as well as throw soccer balls around the stage. Meta Knight	Meta Knight is a masked swordsman who often appears in Kirby's adventures. He pilots his own battleship, the Halberd, and has his own crew called the Meta-Knights. Though he sometimes challenges Kirby to a duel, there are points where he teams up with him to fend off evil from Dream Land. Armed with the Galaxia, Meta Knight is a quick fighter who can use fast sword slashes to combo opponents. He can also glide through the air with his wings and perform some aerial attacks. 	Darkwing Duck is a not-so-mild-mannered superhero. Rather than doing hero work to help others or for justice, he merely does it for the fame and glory. However, he is nevertheless competent, and is armed with weapons and gadgets to take out villains. He utilizes these weapons in this game to fend off opponents. The most notable of these weapons is the Gas Gun, which can fire bombs that stun opponents or launch into a grappling hook, allowing him to swing from one side of the stage to the other. Wonder-Red	Wonder-Red is the leader of a planet-wide regime of superheroes called the Wonderful 100. Though only recently joining the team, he has gifted leadership skills, having record-breaking scores on the written and field sections of CETINEL tactical examinations. His Unite Morph is Unite Hand, which is his main weapon in combat. It allows for fast, close-ranged options that make it good for combos, as well as possessing some powerful finishing moves. 	Mr. Incredible, also known by his real-life name Bob Parr, is a Super, a person born with superpowers. He possesses super strength and durability that allows him to tackle threats much larger than himself. However, bystanders of the Supers' crime-fighting began suing, leading to the "Super Relocation Program", restricting Supers from using their powers to save the day. In this game, Mr. Incredible's herculean strength gives him hard-hitting attacks, such as punching the ground to cause earthquakes or throwing boulders at opponents. He isn't too good with comboing opponents however. The Incredibles - 2004
Ganondorf	Ganondorf is the name given to the sole male Gerudo, born every 100 years with the Triforce of Power. However, due to a curse cast by Demise, he is permanently trapped in a cycle where he is always defeated by the wielders of the Triforce of Courage and Triforce of Wisdom. This Ganondorf hails from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Fitting for wielder of the Triforce of Power, Ganondorf specializes in heavy attacks that deal ludicrous damage. This is enhanced by his dark magic, which can cause lingering hitboxes that serve as traps for opponents. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - 1998	Dr. Facilier
	Dr. Facilier, commonly known as "The Shadow Man", is a witch doctor who resides in the shadows, plotting a scheme to rule over New Orleans with the help of his "friends from the other side". He specializes in dark magic, and has a shadow that follows him around and obeys his every wish. In this game, Facilier doesn't damage opponents much, but uses special magic in his moves that, if an opponent is affected, will make them take damage gradually for a short time. Wonder-Pink	Wonder-Pink is a member of the Wonderful 100, a worldwide team of superheroes. When not doing hero work, she is an Olympic gymnast, which proves helpful to the team. Unite Whip is her Unite Morph, which is effective at taking out enemies in large doses. Likewise, it is her main weapon in this game, allowing for ranged combat and combos. It additionally has the ability to make nearby opponents dizzy. The Wonderful 101 - 2013	Elastigirl
	Elastigirl, also known by her real-life name Helen Parr, is a Super, gifted with the ability to stretch her body to ludicrous lengths, allowing for fast travel, ranged combat, and even taking different shapes. She at some point fell in love with Mr. Incredible, and eventually married him and had kids. In battle, Elastigirl's powers give her some of the best ranged capabilities in the game, allowing her to fight from a far distance and keep opponents at bay. This is also useful for pulling off combos against enemies. The Incredibles - 2004
Waluigi	Waluigi is the purple rival of Luigi and an ally to Wario. Unlike his obese partner, Waluigi is more or less the brains of the operation, often concocting schemes to succeed. He often partakes in sports matches, and has quite the reputation for cheating in order to come out on top. He is qctually one of the fastest characters in this game, and his lanky body allows him to keep his distance from opponents. He can chuck Bob-ombs at enemies, fire Bullet Bills from a Bill Blaster, and reflect any projectiles coming at him by swinging a tennis racket. Mario Tennis - 2001	Randall
	Randall Boggs is a scarer at Monsters, Inc., known for his ability to change colors and turn invisible. In addition to being overall sinister and cruel, he secretly builds a machine called the "Scream Extractor" that can suck the screams out of kidnapped children. In battle, Randall is quick and agile, and his ability t become invisible lets him dodge some attacks. He can also wrap himself around opponents to constrict them, damaging them. Mr. Game & Watch	Mr. Game & Watch is an amalgamation of the Game & Watch series, a line of handhelds released by Nntendo in the early 1980s. He first appeared in Super Smash Bros. Melee as a playable character, where he would utilize attacks from many Game & Watch games and move in a choppy, framerate-like manner, and would later become a staple in the series. In appearance in this game, he fights similarly to the Smash series, taking items and weapons from several Game & Watch games to use against opponents, granting him a balanced moveset overall. 	Oswald is a small rabbit, and is notably the first cartoon character created by Walt Disney. He was originally the mascot for the Disney company, before Mickey Mouse was created and took his place. Similarly to Mickey Mouse, Oswald fights with everyday objects such as tires, musical instruments, and vacuum cleaners. Compared with him however, Oswald is weaker but faster. Poor Papa - 1927

Fans

As mentioned, players can select a Fan, who will help out the player by performing a Fan Blast. Every character has a boy and girl fan associated with them, and both utilize the same attack.

Dylan and Mary	Dylan and Mary will perform Mario Finale when summoned. They will throw two large fireballs that fly forward, damaging opponents heavily.
Wallace and Michelle	Wallace and Michelle will perform Magic Madness when summoned. They will pull out a magic wand and cast a spell, surrounding a large area around themselves in a blue cloud. Opponents inside the blue field will take heavy damage over time. Opponents can be thrown into the field by the player until it disappears.
Sheldon and Gwendolyn	Sheldon and Gwendolyn will perform Koopa Troop when summoned. They will whistle, calling in several of Bowser's minions, including Goombas, Koopa Troopas, Hammer Bros., and Shy Guys who trample over opponent. The attack finishes after a Big Tail Goomba is summoned, who whacks the opponent.
