Super Mario: Ultimate Adventure is an upcoming 2D Platformer game for the Nintendo Switch. The game serves as a massive crossover between all the Mario sub-series.
Story[]
It was a nice day at the Mushroom Kingdom, where characters from many Mario sub-series like Super Mario, RPGs, Luigi's Mansion, Super Princess Peach, Donkey Kong Country, WarioWare, and Yoshi's Island were having a party at Peach's Castle. Suddenly, they heard something, when they get out to check what it was, they saw an enormous battleship heading towards the Castle. It turns out that all main villains (except tragic ones like Count Bleck and King Olly) they have defeated in previous adventures are back and as a team that seeks to dominate the Mushroom World! They informed the heroes that they stole the Power Stars of the Kingdom. Mario and Luigi thought Bowser was behind this, but to their surprise, he, along with King K. Rool, were not included in the team.
The ship fires lightning at Peach's Castle, destroying a part of it, and the villains leave. Peach was angry, but then, Bowser and King K. Rool appeared and explained that the other villains destroyed the Koopa Castle and the Kremlings' Airship, and brainwashed most of their minions. Having no other options, Mario and all of the party guests decide to team up with the Koopa Troop and the Kremling Krew to stop the rest of the villains from taking over the world.
Gameplay[]
Depending on which character you chose to play as, the gameplay also changes. For example, choosing a Donkey Kong Country character gives you a mix of the gameplays of the first three DKC, Returns, and Tropical Freeze; choosing a WarioWare character gives you a gameplay similar to "WarioWare: Get it Together!", and so on.
But outside of that, its main gameplay works like a mix between the gameplays of New Super Mario Bros. U, Wario Land 4, Super Princess Peach, and Donkey Kong Country
