The following is a list of Trophies and Spirits originating from the Metroid series in Super Smash Bros. Charged.
Trophies[]
Dark Samus
As Samus defeats Metroid Prime, the creature reaches out to her in its dying moments. It manages to tear off her Phazon Suit, and it combined with the remains of Metroid Prime birthed Dark Samus. Comprised entirely of Phazon, she has the ability to make clones of herself and brainwash others to become her minions. Her ultimate goal is to spread Phazon across the universe, and she's not a foe to be taken lightly! She is Samus' Echo Fighter in Smash Bros., so they have similar attacks. However, she has a unique mechanic where her attacks sometimes produce Phazon that lands on the ground. Opponents are harmed when they stand in it, but it can heal Dark Samus.

Dark Samus (Alt.)
Dark Samus can enter her Morph Ball with the down special move, and is able to move around freely. She can exit it at any time by using the move again, but getting attacked forces her out of it. Three moves are unlocked while in Morph Ball, two of which she shares with normal Samus; Boost Ball is a quick ramming attack that can be charged, and Spider Ball decreases her movement in exchange for letting her cling to walls and ceilings. Her unique move is Hyper Ball, which sends bolts of Phazon electricity outward to repeatedly damage opponents around her. It's quite effective!

Ridley
Ridley has had an almost perfect attendance record in every Metroid game! This giant space dragon is the one responsible for the death of Samus' parents, and they two have been at each other's heads since. Most may see him as a brainless monster, but he is actually quite cunning and cruel. In Smash Bros., he prefers to torture his opponents before KOing them. With a decent recovery thanks to five midair jumps and high weight to boot, it can be hard to knock him off the stage!

Ridley (Alt.)
Skewer, Ridley's down special move, has him poke forward with the spike on his tail. It's not very effective if you don't hit opponents properly, but land it in just the right spot, and you can land over 60% damage! Not only that, but your opponent will topple over, leaving them vulnerable for your next attack. His up special Wing Blitz allows him to launch in any direction, damaging opponents he hits. If you aim downward, you can even meteor smash enemies below!

Meta Ridley
After being defeated by Samus, Ridley was rebuilt by the Space Pirates into a space dragon cyborg! Some of his features include a bomb launcher, multiple multimissile systems, upgrades to his plasma breath, and even stronger wings than before! In Metroid Prime, he attacks Frigate Orpheon, and Samus chases him down to Tallon IV to battle him. The chestplate is his weakness, but you'll need to uncover it first.

Morph Ball
A recurring item in the Metroid games, the Morph Ball is one of the many modules for Samus' Power Suit. It compresses Samus' body into a small and mobile sphere, allowing her to roll around and travel though tight corridors. While in the Morph Ball, she has the ability to lay Bombs, breaking obstacles in her path and damaging nearby enemies. Smash Bros. sees Samus and Dark Samus entering their Morph Ball form when down special is used. Both of them can use Boost Ball and Spider Ball in this form, but Samus can deploy her Bombs while Dark Samus can utilize Hyper Ball. It's a pretty versatile move!

Screw Attack
The Screw Attack has been in nearly every Metroid game since the first. It's an upgrade Samus can use for her Power Suit, enabling her to attack enemies while jumping, emitting energy that deals high damage to anything in her path. In some games, the Screw Attack can break special blocks to unlock access to new areas. In Smash Bros., even you can don the Screw Attack! Any time you jump, you emit energy that repeatedly hits opponents close to you. Be wary though, some characters have lower jump height when using this ability.

Metroid
This green creature is the namesake of the Metroid franchise. Native to the distant planet SR388, the Metroids were bred by the Space Pirates as bioweapons, before Samus came to Planet Zebes and defeated them. After that, Metroids were deemed to much of a threat, so Samus was tasked with going to their homeworld and exterminating all the Metroids. If you summon one in Smash Bros., it will float around and latch onto a random opponent, sucking on their life energy and doing repeated damage. This also hinders their movement, leaving the opponent open for a strong attack.

Kraid
Fun fact, in the original Metroid, Kraid was as tall as Samus. She must have been in for a surprise when she saw this hulking beast in Super Metroid! In Classic Mode, you battle him from the foreground while he attacks from the background. He can throw many organic projectiles that you'll need to dodge. You can only attack him at certain points where he gets close enough, so make the most of it!

Mecha Ridley
Ridley built this robotic copy of himself in Metroid: Zero Mission. Unfortunately, Samus defeated him before his legs and wings could be added. Even so, it still proves to be a formidable foe when Samus tries to escape Chozodia. If you have to fight him in Classic Mode, he'll attack you with fireballs, missiles, and claws. The only way to damage him is the red light on his chest, but it's protected by a glass barrier. Destroy that barrier so you can get to the core!

Geemer
These little alien bugs are found on many planets during Samus' adventures, including Planet Zebes and Talon IV. They have the ability to cling to walls and ceilings in search of food, and while not hostile, their spiked bodies can harm any would-be predators. In Smash Run DX, they aren't particularly strong enemies, but simply touching those spikes can damage you. It may be best to take them out with ranged moves instead.

Gullugg
A peculiar-looking alien hailing from SR388. They're highly territorial, and the large spike protruding from its underside can be used as a weapon against trespassers. Thankfully, Samus' new Melee Counter is Samus Returns can be used to stun it. In Smash Run DX, they will charge with that large spike and try to make any players in their way a shish-kebab! They have low health, but they have launch resistance while charging, so be careful.

Arachnus
An armadillo-like creature native to the planet SR388. It's near the top of the food chain, and armed with weapons such as a rock-hard hide, sharp claws, and the ability to breathe fire, they're not afraid to tear into anyone unfortunate enough to be on its menu. Arachnus can appear as a boss in Smash Run DX, and it's a very aggressive foe. Its main attacks are claw slashes and rolling around like an armadillo. On top of its launch resistance, Arachnus can only be damaged from the front, as its backside negates any damage.

Zebesian
Inhabitants of Planet Zebes, these crustacean-like creatures make up the bulk of the Space Pirates in Super Metroid. They aren't actually native to Zebes, and instead invaded the planet and wiped out the Chozo civilization there to claim it as their own. They come in many colors with different attributes, though Smash Run DX only features the blue variety. They can either snap at you with their claws or shoot lasers at you from afar. Either way, it's not a fun time.

Cacatac
These cactus-like creatures live on Planet Zebes. Samus encounters three kinds in Super Metroid: green which resides in Brinstar, red that's adapted to the heat of Norfair, and pink that lives in the underwater areas of Maridia. They all have the safe attack and defense mechanisms; if any predators are nearby, it'll puff up and release spikes in all directions. They have low health in Smash Run DX, but if you get close, that makes it more likely to get hut by multiple spikes.

Spore Spawn
A large plant genetically engineered by the Space Pirates that resides in Upper Brinstar. It has a large, spiky shell that hides its core, and is immune to all damage. Sometimes, it'll open up and reveal its core, which is the time to strike. It can appear as a boss in Smash Run DX, and it has a ton of health. Like in its game of origin, Spore Spawn can only be damaged by hitting its core, so you'll need to avoid the spiky membrane as it bobs around before you can land a hit.

Torizo
When you see a Chozo Statue, they usually hold an item for Samus to equip. However, in Super Metroid, some of them have been enhanced with defense and weapon systems to attack intruders. If you're unlucky enough to run into one of these in Smash Run DX, they're not easy to take down. Your projectiles won't do anything to it, since it can simply grab it and throw it away, so you'll need to rely on your physical attacks to beat a Torizo. Watch out for its claw swipes and explosie projectiles - they pack a punch!

Crawltank
A small defense drone used by the Space Pirates. It has the ability to cling to walls and ceilings, and is armed with a blaster that allows it to fire beams. Its small size also allows it to move through tight corridors, and some later models gain the ability to use Hypermode. They're relatively weak enemies in Smash Run DX, with their projectiles not dealing much damage and having low health. But all that damage adds up, so you shouldn't just tank the hits!

Reptilicus Hunter
The Reptilicus are a race of lizard-like creatures from the planet Bryyo. Centuries ago, they were once an intelligent, thriving species and pushed science to its boundaries. However, war waged across the planet and the tribes turned on each other, and as the years went by, they devolved into savage animals. In Smash Run DX, the Reptilicus Hunter is a formidable foe, having an energy whip and chakram for close- and long-ranged combat. It also has the ability to turn invisible, leaving it immune to attacks for a short time.

Power Suit
The basic form of Samus' Power Suit, built by the Chozo and given to her. The main weapon is the cannon on the right arm, which allows her to fire powered energy shots to damage enemies. It's the weakest form of the suit and offers little in offense and defense, but the thing that makes up for all that is the fact it can be upgraded, making it much better! In many of Samus' missions, this is the armor she starts out with.

Varia Suit
Here we have Samus in probably her most iconic armor, the Varia Suit. An upgrade for her Power Suit, it offers much more defense against enemy attacks, and even has resistance to super high- and low-temperature areas, allowing her to explore normally dangerous places safely. This is the armor Samus has used in all versions of Super Smash Bros.

Gravity Suit
One of the original upgrades for Samus' armor, the Gravity Suit's main defining trait is negating extreme gravitational effects or provide resistance to certain environments. In other words, it allows Samus to travel in the vacuum of space or underwater as if she were walking on the planet's surface. On top of this, it provides higher defense than even the Varia Suit, allowing her to take more damage from enemies.

Fusion Suit
The Fusion Suit is merely what's left of Samus' Power Suit after an attempted surgery. After being infected by the X Parasite, she fell unconscious and Galactic Federation doctors needed to treat her. However, they were unable to remove her Power Suit, as its biological components were merging with her body. After removing what they could, they cured her via vaccine from Metroid DNA. While her Fusion Suit is weaker than her Power Suit in many regards, it has the unique ability to take X Parasites and covert them to energy.

Phazon Suit
This Power Suit upgrade may look cool - and it is - but it's actually a result of a Phazon infection after Samus defeated the Omega Pirate on Tallon IV. Other than its new look, the Phazon Suit offers greater defense and protection from Phazon radiation. Most importantly though, it allows Samus to channel Phazon energy to fire powerful Phazon beams, making it the strongest weapon in her arsenal.

Dark Suit
On the rogue planet of Aether live an advanced race of aliens known as the Luminoth. After a Leviathan, a living meteorite from the planet Phaaze, it opened a dimensional rift that holds a dark, twisted version of the planet known as Dark Aether. The Luminoth created the Dark Suit to withstand this new world's atmosphere, and fortunately, it seems to fit Samus quite well.

The Light Suit is the ultimate armor created by the Luminoth to combat the Ing, a race of hostile shapeshifters from Dark Aether. Created through a combination of Luminoth and Chozo technology, it is powered by the Light of Aether, an energy source that comes from the planet itself. When Samus dons this armor, she gains the ability to travel through Dark Water and Ingstorm, as well as gain access to the Light Shafts that connect to the four temples.

Chozo Statue
These statues are some of the most iconic artifacts Samus encounters in the Metroid series. They usually depict a Chozo sitting down holding its hands out. In its hands is an item, which could be a missile expansion, an energy tank, or even a new ability for your suit, which you can nab by breaking the small orange barrier. These statues are mostly found on Planet Zebes and Talon IV, which coincidentally were also home to the Chozo race.

Queen Metroid
The cute, floating Metroids the series is named after are only the species' larval state, and the Queen Metroid is what they can evolve to! Samus must have been in for a shock when she saw this behemoth. As the queen, it is the only member of the species capable of reproduction, meaning if it dies, the Metroids die with it! The Queen Metroid's sole weakness is its stomach, so if Samus gets eaten by it, a single Power Bomb should be enough to finish it off.

It also serves as her base of operations, saving her mission's progress and restoring her energy and ammunition. On top of this, it also provides a safe haven for her in the deep reaches of space. Adam Malkovich
You are not authorized to view this description. Just kidding! Adam Malkovich here was a commander of the Galactic Federation. A celebrated military genius, he was Samus Aran's commanding officer during her time in the Galactic Federaton. He may have been strict and quick to criticize, but behind it all he was a brilliant man that earned Samus' respect. Later on while exploring the BSL Research Station, Samus is given a personal computer to serve as her commanding officer. It reminds her of the late Adam... perhaps there's a reason for that?

X Parasite
This parasitic organism from SR388 can infect, kill, and mimic its hosts. After Samus exterminated their only predator, the Metroids, the X came back on top of the food chain. Samus became subsequently infected, but survived thanks to a Metroid-based vaccine. Unfortunately, the X spread to everyone else on the B.L.S. Research Station, leaving Samus as the only survivor. On the plus side, Samus is now immune to the X, and can take them in without harm. In fact, it actually makes her stronger, replenishing her health and Missile reserves.

Zazabi
After an outbreak of the X Parasite on the BSL Research Station, the little muggers start taking the form of various creatures. Some of them are foes Samus has faced in the past, such as the Arachnus or Ridley, while others are completely unique monsters like Zazabi. In spite of its offputting design, it's actually quite simple in terms of battle patterns. Its only attack involves trying to jump on Samus and landing on her with the opening on its bottom, presumably the mouth. When it's airborne, get under it and fire a bunch of Missiles into that opening. That's gotta hurt!

This one, Mogenar, is the last fully-functioning one, and serves as the guardian of Bryyo's Leviathan. His entire body is impenetrable to damage, save for the four red orbs: three around his front, and one on his back.
