Logo by Solarrion (tbc)
Super Smash Bros. Salvo (working title) is a Super Smash Bros. game produced by Hammy Games Inc. It has the biggest roster of any game in the series so far, with over 100 characters. It was made specifically for the purpouse of adding in unexpected characters, putting twists on commonly requested characters and ultimately making every character unique despite there being so many. We are open to suggestions in the comments.

Returning Game Modes[]

Smash[]

Engage in a customisable battle on a stage of your choice with up to 8 characters!

Classic[]

In Classic Mode, your selected fighter must complete a series of challenges, before finally facing Master Hand, and possibly Crazy Hand!

All-Star[]

In All-Star, you must battle every fighter unlocked thus far in chronological order. Due to the massive amount of fighters in the game, this mode takes a while to complete but holds great rewards and exclusive trophies.

Stadium[]

Multi-Man Smash[]

Multi-Man Smash pits you against several robotic fighters. In this mode are several sub-modes, including 10 Man Smash, 100 Man Smash, Rival Smash, Cruel Smash and the new Amiibo Smash.

Target Blast[]

In Target Blast, your objective is to launch a large bomb into a cluster of wood and metal to destroy the targets hidden within.

Home Run Contest[]

Using a home run bat or your bare fists, the objective of this mode is to launch the sandbag as far as you can!

Training[]

A mode for testing out your skills. You can control what AI do, summon items, change gravity and more!

Smash Run[]

This mode throws you into a large maze filled with enemies from various series. It is up to you to gather status boosts to help you win the final battle!

Smash Tour[]

Move your Mii through one of three boards by rolling a dice. Collect fighters and trophies to assist you in the final battle, or start a battle yourself!

Events[]

Play a predetermined battle for rewards, and unlock more as you go!

Special Orders[]

Choose a ticket and get ready to fight! Master Orders is quite linear, while Crazy Orders requires a Pass and is a lot more unpredictable.

New Game Modes[]

Tag-Team Smash[]

In Tag Team Smash, you will engage in a regular Smash battle, with a twist. At the start, you will choose 2 to 4 characters, depending on the rules you decide on. In battle, you can switch between these characters via a taunt, making these battles very unpredictable.

Roulette Smash[]

In this mode, you don’t choose your characters! Of course, certain rulesets will allow you to choose who you start the fight as. When you are defeated, you will respawn as a randomly selected character from the roster. Really, it’s all up to luck!

Smash Tower[]

In Smash Tower, you are tasked with climbing a large tower. Seems easy enough, right? No, you saw this twist coming. Each floor will present you with a new challenge. Though most floors house short fights, some require you to complete a Target Smash or otherwise. As you get higher in the tower, battles will become longer and more challenging. Every fifth floor will present you with a tougher battle, and every tenth with a boss. Regardless of which it is, the outcome is the same. If you defeat this challenger, you will be given three options: forfeit with your gathered spoils, continue with a extra stock, or continue with no benefits, leading to greater prizes.

Task Board[]

Think of the Task Board as a mini-Events mode. Each day will present you with a handful of challenges to complete. These may range from beating an opponent under certain circumstances, or to fulfill certain conditions in your regular play. These Tasks will reward you with bonuses such as Trophies or Gold. Task Board mode is compatible with Event Creator.

Event Creator[]

In Super Smash Bros. Salvo, you can create your own Events with the Event Creator! You can select fighters, teams, time limits, items, the stage and pretty much any other ruleset. Furthermore, you can upload these Events to the Task Board for players across the world to play and give feedback.

Boss Smash[]

In this new mode, one player takes the role of a boss and all of their devastating abilities against the other players, who take the role of regular fighters. The team of regular fighters must defeat the boss player to win.

Fabled Smash[]

Returning from Super Smash Bros. Conquest, Fabled Smash is a regular Smash battle that is constantly altering itself. Assist Trophies and Pokéballs may work against you, stages can swap, controls can be reversed, you may swap characters with another player, Smash Run enemies could appear... The possibilities are endless in a Fabled Smash!

Soccer Smash[]

Soccer Smash can only be played on larger stages with a horizontal focus, most of the time symmetrical. Best played in teams, a soccer ball will spawn in the center of the stage. Your goal is to use your attacks to launch the soccer ball into the enemy goals to score points. At the end of the match, whoever scored the most goals wins. While you can launch enemies off the stage, it shouldn’t be your main focus, but it will buy you some time. Overall, we hope this can be an enjoyable and fun mode, despite how simple it is.

Capture The Flag[]

Like with Soccer Smash, Capture The Flag can only be played on stages with a horizontal focus. The players are split into two teams, each with their own base at either side of the stage. On each base is a colour-coded Special Flag which must be captured from the enemy base and brought back to your own.

The Steel/Fairy type Pokémon, Mawile makes a snappy entrance! Mawile is not two-faced, but two mouthed. Her ponytail mouth acts as another mean of attacking - in fact, it’s Mawile’s main method of offense! As a Fairy type, Mawile can be easily tossed around, but her Steel typing gives her good defense against powerful attacks and give her some pretty strong attacks herself. Mawile’s moveset makes heavy use of her second chomper, which can deal heavy damage and above average knockback. As a downside, it has small range for the most part and Mawile is untrained with her other limbs, though she is capable of making a speedy getaway. ...Talk about a mouthful.

When Kirby entered Patch Land, he took on a softer design, if that’s possible. Yarn Kirby unravels! His size and speed are the same as his organic counterpart, but the similarities end there. Yarn Kirby can jump higher than his original but lacks the amount of jumps. However, most of his attacks have tethering abilities. When it comes to attacking, Yarn Kirby utilizes his many transformations - be it via a Metamortex or not - and a yarn whip. Drawn Hero
Newcomer!
Drawn Hero creates victory! While his stats are nothing to write home about - they are very similar to that of Toon Link’s - Drawn Hero’s true potential lies in his Creator mechanic. He wields several weapons in battle, ranging from a sword to a gun that shoots acorns, but none of them would exist without the help of the Creator. When not in use, Drawn Hero will remain weaponless. However, when Drawn Hero decides to go on the offensive and attack, the Creator will provide him with the weapon he desires. So, as Drawn Hero swings his sword, the Creator will draw it and colour it. This means his weapons are most powerful when fully coloured and drawn.

eShopper checks in! eShopper is the face of the Nintendo eShop, who always has a smile on his face to brighten up your day, even when your game won’t download. eShopper plays similarly to the likes of Kirby, Villager and Pac-Man; he is a floaty character who can be launched far, but has good air game. Due to him being a bag, eShopper is a very light character; one of the lightest! This has advantages, as he is very floaty and can open up as a parachute to slow his already steady fall. His attacks make use of his straps as whips or ropes. eShopper can also throw download cubes a short distance, so he is similar to Mega Man in that some of his standard attacks involve projectiles. In addition, a minority of his attacks contain references to other DS or 3DS applications - such as his Side Smash involving a speech bubble from Nintendo DSi Sound.eShopper’s days of keeping that smug smile while we scream in agony at our cancelled downloads are no more! eShopper comes with a special mechanic involving capitalism and microtransactions! Great Fairy (Hyrule Warriors)
Great Fairy
Newcomer!
Great Fairy is a slow but light character with great power. She has excellent jumping abilities, being a fairy and what not. Her attacks have great ending lag to make up for her speed and sheer size. She can summon her fairies to assist her in battle or use her Great Fairy Sword as her primary means of combat, as well as being armed with a variety of powered up weapons!

HWL Linkle Crossbow
Linkle
Newcomer!
Linkle is, despite her looks, very different from her brother! Cousin? Genderswap? ...Link. Where Link is more power-focused, Linkle prefers to attack from a distance. That’s not to say she’s a bad close-quarters fighter, though! Linkle is very skilful with her feet and is an excellent kicker! What Link lacks in speed, Linkle makes up for tenfold. She’s a speedy sharpshooter who can strike when you least expect it!

Hilda SSBConquest
Hilda
Newcomer!
Hilda is the princess of Lorule, and an antagonist of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. Stat-wise, she's very similar to her Hyrulean counterpart, Zelda. However, their attacks vary greatly. Hilda wields a staff with the Lorulean Triforce emblem on it. Using her staff, Hilda can attack with dark magic that can be charged. As well as this, the staff works as a good melee weapon. Hilda can also summon paintings to trap enemies in or to reflect attacks.

Triforce Heroes
Triforce Heroes
Newcomers!
Triforce Heroes team up! Trios have never been seen before in Smash, until now! Triforce Heroes are a team of three colour-coded Links, and let me be the first to say that they are rocking those colours! They come from the fashion-forward land of Hytopia, where the power of a good fashion sense is so important that you can’t make it through a dungeon without the right outfit! In Smash, the Triforce Heroes stick together at all time and attack simultaneously, but their attacks are completely unpredictable! Each Link uses a different weapon, allowing them to attack in three directions at once. The green Link uses a sword and acts very similarly to Toon Link, the blue Link uses a bow styled after that of Toon Link’s and the red Link has fiery gauntlets - a weapon our Toon Link lacks. Who would’ve thought “Link” could be said so many times in one sentence? Their alternate costumes feature outfits from The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes.

PrincessRutoWarriorsArtwork
Ruto
Newcomer!
Ruto makes a splash! The sometimes rebellious princess of the Zora Kingdom comes armed with a Zora Scale. With this mystical item, Princess Ruto can control water. This means that she can create bubbles, streams of water or waves! A meter above Ruto’s damage percentage will fill up as she attacks. This meter is known as the Wave Meter and Ruto’s neutral special relies on it. Her neutral special involves a wave being summoned, but the size is dependant on how full the Wave Meter is. Ruto’s movements involve water-like physics. She does not walk, but swims. This means she is easy to launch, but falls very slowly and can slow her descent.

Twili Midna
Newcomer!
When Midna’s curse is finally broken, she takes on her true form; Twili Midna! In this form, Midna is much taller than most of the cast; she towers above Rosalina! Like Rosalina, Twili Midna is slow and likes to keep a distance between herself and her foes. Twili Midna is much more of a mage character than her imp form. She makes heavy use of her Twilight magic and controlling the battlefield from afar. In addition, Twili Midna uses weapons such as the Dominion Rod in battle.

681Aegislash
Aegislash
Newcomer!
Aegislash cuts in! Bringing swordfighters to a whole new level is the Royal Sword Pokémon, Aegislash. It hovers above the ground slightly all the time, making it an odd mix of lightness and defensiveness. Though slow, Aegislash makes up for that in power. Through the use of its down special, Aegislash can change stance, becoming more defensive in exchange for attack speed and power. This is especially useful, since lots of Aegislash's attacks leave it vulnerable for a time.

424Ambipom
Ambipom
Newcomer!
Ambipom lends a helping hand! Ambipom is certainly a unique fighter, what with his two hand-like tails. These tails are his main method of fighting, meaning he can deliver powerful and long-ranged blows. Of course, he can be slow due to his feet not being as powerful as his tails, but who needs speed when you’ve got two giant fists? He has actual hands for a reason, too. Ambipom can attack with these, but they're pretty weak. After all, they're probably not used that much. All of Ambipom's special attacks and the vast majority of his regular and Smash attacks revolve around his fist tails.

Darkrai PP2
Darkrai
Newcomer!
Darkrai emerges from the shadows! Darkrai is said to bring nightmares and, along with Cresselia, makes up the Lunar Duo. In battle, Darkrai is speedy and evasive. It is best to stay tactical when playing as Darkrai, as it isn’t the best attacker. When it does attack, it comes in the form of claw swipes and dark energy. Darkrai’s main focus is on sending foes to sleep and then eating their dreams via its special moves.

Squid Sisters
Squid Sisters
Newcomers!
The Squid Sisters face the music! They are a team character, but less so like the Ice Climbers and more of an advanced Duck Hunt. They fight together and you can switch the lead singer at any time via taunts, changing how some attacks function. Marie uses a Charger - a range focused ink-shooting weapon - while Callie wields a Roller - a melee weapon made for bulldozing foes. As well as their weapons, the Squid Sisters use the power of song to fight. They can attack by striking poses or dancing, like Wii Fit Trainer in a sense. These attacks are the same regardless of who is the lead dancer. By using a taunt on Bluefin Depot, they will be able to communicate with Agents 1 and 2 of the Squidbeak Splatoon and Cap'n Cuttlefish.

Octoling
Newcomer!
Octoling is a semi-clone of Inkling. They have the exact same stats as their squid-kid counterparts, but have a different arsenal of weapons at their disposal, though not many at that. Their moveset focuses on obstacles used in Octo Valley, as well as the spreading of ink. While they do sometimes use Octoshots, they much prefer the obstacles from their home. These include, but are not limited to, Sponges, Inkrails, Gushers and Spreaders.

Enter the Octobot King, DJ Octavio! Octavio fights dirty; he's in a giant mech! It's going to take some serious skill to take down Octavio, what with his size, weight and sheer power. His size is his downfall, as he is an easy target and rather slow. Most of his attacks can be countered by hitting them back, a tactic which must be used to your advantage if you want to defeat him, staying true to his Boss nature.

Queen Sectonia
Newcomer!
Queen Sectonia graces the battlefield! Queen Sectonia is a large character who moves with amazing grace for somebody of her stature. Though she falls rather quickly, her air game is excellent thanks to her wings. There is no time to bask in her beauty though, as she is a very powerful fighter. In her hands she holds two giant staves capable of creating lightning, summoning minions and so much more! As well as being excellent ranged weapons, they can make for some devastating melee attacks. Her minions - Antrs - wield either fire, ice or electric magic in their clubs. Queen Sectonia is also capable of summoning blossoms and jewels in battle, though these are included only in a minority of her attacks.

Spinni sneaks in! He is a part of Daroach's crew, the Squeak Squad. Armed with great speed and ninja-like abilities, overpowering your opponent with relentless attacks and combos is essential to Spinni's moveset. As one of the fastest characters in the game, Spinni is much better on the ground than in the air, much the opposite of his boss. His moveset makes use of his various ninja tools such as ninja stars and claws. Spinni also commands a small army of Squeakers in battle. Nobody really knows where they go when not in use. His cape? Probably.

Kirby Robobot
Robobot Kirby
Newcomer!
Robobot Kirby suits up! Here in Smash, Robobot Kirby plays very differently from his unarmoured counterpart. In a way, it’s similar to the two Samus’s. Robobot Kirby is slow and very heavy, but makes up for it with brute strength. This means Robobot Kirby qualifies as a tank, both literally and figuratively! Unlike most tanks, Robobot Kirby has great range. He uses his giant robot fists to punch foes from a distance, as well as some Robobot modes not used in his special attacks. Use your laser blades to slice enemies (Sword Mode), shoot a golden boomerang (Cutter Mode), send out explosive robots (Bomb Mode) and more! Alternate colours are designed after Robobot modes.

Sales Bunny
Badge Bunny
Newcomer!
The Badge Bunny, often referred to as the Arcade Rabbit, is the main man behind the Nintendo Badge Arcade, an application in which you use a grappling hand to pick up badges used to customize your home screen. When in battle, Badge Bunny uses these badges as a means of offense, rather than decorative items. Badges can be thrown, used as a shield and anything else the Badge Bunny can think of! Some badges, such as Majora’s Moon, have special effects, but the badges are randomly chosen. Some larger badges might be better for defending from attacks, while smaller ones might be more suited to being used as projectiles. Badge Bunny’s next badge in line will always be displayed above his damage percentage, allowing you to plan your attacks accordingly. In addition, Badge Bunny is not afraid to use a grappling hook in battle.

The saviours of the Monster World, Ellie & Chomp make a new tale! They've defeated the Kid Kings, but how will they fare against the Nintendo all-stars? Ellie & Chomp are a duo who work similarly to Rosalina & Luma, but have completely different attacks - both in comparison to Rosalina and their partner. Where Chomp uses fireballs, Ellie shoots from her Band Blaster. Using a special move will cause Chomp to change form before attacking. This means that it is most effective to use a move if you are already in said form.

Default Stages[]

SSB Super Smash Bros. SeriesSuper Smash Bros.SSB Super Smash Bros. Series
SSB4 WII U Final-Destination
Final Destination
A platform floating between dimensions, supposedly. Nobody really knows what Final Destination is. All that is known is that it has some sort of connection with Omega Stages, and that Master Hand and Crazy Hand are fought here. This stage is completely hazardless and consists of a sole platform.
BattlefieldOblivion
Battlefield
Another simple stage, Battlefield dances on the border between competitive and casual play. Though there is plenty of room on the main platform to duke it out, you may choose to use the three suspended platforms to your advantage. As you fight, the stage goes through a day-to-night cycle which looks breathtaking.
SSB Mario SeriesSuper MarioSSB Mario Series
World 1-1 NSMBU
World 1-1
World 1-1 is a sidescrolling stage based on 2D Mario platformers such as New Super Mario Bros. Hop through obstacles such as Goombas, Koopa Troopas, etc. and over pipes, brick blocks and such. All the while, fighting your enemies. It’s a race to the end, because whoever reaches the flagpole first gets an extra point or stock, like the Special Flag item.
SSB Splatoon SeriesSplatoonSSB Splatoon Series
Saltspray Rig
Saltspray Rig
Saltspray Rig is slightly bigger than the average stage. Think Luigi’s Mansion and a half. It takes place in the back area of the rig, where crates are stacked upon each other. The ground cannot be seen, so you must hop from crate to crate. On either side of the screen lies a small grated platform. Occasionally, a crane will lift a platform from side to side above the fighters.

Meeting Place
Meeting Place
Meeting Place is the central hub of the Poképark; an area which joins all the Zones together. The battle takes place in the towering treehouse as you climb. Pokémon will cheer you on from the sidelines while you visit the many floors. Once you reach the top, you must climb back down. The bottom of the stage takes place just outside the treehouse, so it is possible to walk off the stage.
Route 210
Route 210
Route 210 is an average sized stage. It takes place in Route 210 of Sinnoh, a route clouded in fog over a canyon. The stage takes place on one of the bike platforms, with a few suspended overhead. The stage is exceptionally foggy, so there are lots of places to hide, including the tall grass on the left side of the stage.
