Ice Climbers are a duo playable fighter character in Super Smash Bros. Calamity, returning after their absence in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U.

Changes

The player can switch from either Popo and Nana to be the lead climber on the character selection screen.

New up special, Condor, which was their on-screen appearance animation. The move covers less distance than Belay and attacking the condor will cause the climbers to separate from it.

Belay is now Ice Climbers's down special.

New Final Smash, Blizzard Storm.

Moveset

The lead climber is controlled by the player, while other is controlled by the CPU. The other climber has an unseen damage percentage meter similar to other characters, and the duo only lose a stock when the lead climber dies, and both disappear when the lead climber dies first. The other climber's attacks are also weaker than the lead climber's attacks.

Ice Climbers do not slip and slide on ice.
