Eerie (Japanese: テレサウルス Teresaurusu, officially romanized as Telesauls) is a species of undead dinosaurian enemies that appear in the Super Mario series. They first debuted in Super Mario World, where they quickly cross the screen of Ghost House courses in either straight or jagged lines. Design-wise, Eeries resemble a cross between a Boo and a Yoshi.
Eeries seldom make appearances in canon Mario games, having only appeared in Super Mario World and the GameCube version of Yoshi's Cookie.
Appearances[]
Super Mario World: Wii[]
Eeries appear in Super Mario World: Wii, debuting their first 3D appearence.
Super Mario World 3D[]
Eeries reappear in Super Mario World 3D as common enemies in the courses Ghostly Haunt and Spooky Ghost House. They fly quietly around and does not directly attack Mario.
New Super Mario Bros. PIX[]
Eeries return in this game, presumably unchanged from canon. They are somewhat rare, even in what would presumably be their home world, World C: Ghostly Valley. They also appear in the Ghost House of World 5, Tropical Jungle.
St. Clair Publications[]
Eeries appear in Koopa Troopa, where they are enemies that can be found in DK Island at night and especially in Big Boo's Haunted Citadel. Because they're ghosts, you can't defeat them using most normal means, so you'll have to get creative or avoid them.

Trivia[]
- In New Super Mario Bros.: Cosmic Adventure, Eeries glow when prancing around, but when they see Mario, they become solid and slowly follow him.
