Hey guys, this is my first Game Idea, so I'm open to criticism.
This is the blueprint for Mario Kart 9 on WiiDS, a console that has access to 3DS, DS, Wii and Wii U games. It's the ULTIMATE console! Handheld, but with plenty of data. But, the WiiDS is another page. It's time for my idea for Mario Kart 9!
We'll start with possibly the most important part of any Mario Kart game! Beautiful new tracks! Track ideas will eventually be linked and described, but for now, leave it up to your imagination. I'm almost done with finals.
There are 46 characters in total (though there is a dropdown menu for the Koopalings, leaving only 40 slots). Newcomers have a darker background.
Mario (Medium)
SPECIAL ABILITY: Fire Fly (Mario flies up into the air while his Kart launches fireballs in all directions)
Luigi (Medium)
SPECIAL ABILITY: Poltergust 5000 (Luigi uses Poltergust to blow his Kart forward and nearby opponents away)
Peach (Medium)
SPECIAL ABILITY: Peachy Keen (Peach uses Parasol to boost Kart while the vehicle launches peaches at nearby opponents)
Daisy (Medium)
SPECIAL ABILITY: Daisy Garden (Daisy uses large flower to propel her Kart forward while vines hit nearby opponents)
Bowser (Heavy)
SPECIAL ABILITY: Fire Trapped
Bowser uses Flame Breath to boost Kart while Fire Traps spin from the sides of the Kart and hit opponents)
Yoshi (Medium)
SPECIAL ABILITY: Egg Roll (Yoshi encases himself in an egg and spins quickly. This can knock opponents off course)
Birdo (Medium)
SPECIAL ABILITY: Egg Roll (Birdo encases herself in an egg and spins quickly. This can knock opponents off course)
Toad (Light)
SPECIAL ABILITY: Mushroom Madness (A giant Mushroom pops under Toad's Kart and propels him forward as it shoots spores that can hit opponents)
Bowser Jr. (Medium)
SPECIAL ABILITY: Paint it Back (A paintbrush propels Bowser, Jr.'s Kart forward as it draws a black paint path that can stop opponents)
Shy Guy (Light)
SPECIAL ABILITY: Fly Guy (A propeller spurts from Shy Guy's Kart and allows him to boost while flying. Hitting an opponent can cause them to crash)

SPECIAL ABILITY: Cry Wave (A wave of tears propels Baby Mario forward and can stop opponents)
Baby Luigi (Light)
SPECIAL ABILITY: Cry Wave (A wave of tears propels Baby Luigi forward and can stop opponents)

SPECIAL ABILITY: Rattle Out (A mini Parasol propels Baby Peach forward while rattles circle the Kart and can hit opponents)

SPECIAL ABILITY: Broom Zoom (Six Brooms circle Kamek, allowing him to fly and hit opponents. Each hit costs Kamek two Brooms)
Donkey Kong (Heavy)
SPECIAL ABILITY: Barrel Blast (Donkey Kong propels his Kart with barrels while barrels from the sides shoot cannonballs at opponents)
Koopa Troopa (Light)
SPECIAL ABILITY: Shell Shock (A giant shell pops under Koopa's Kart and scatters miniature shells around)
Wario (Heavy)
SPECIAL ABILITY: Hot Rod (Wario's Kart grows a tricked-out tailpiece from his signature Wario Bike. This allows him to boost and spray opponents with flames from the bike's back)
Waluigi (Heavy)
SPECIAL ABILITY: Pinball Panic (Flippers grow on the side of Waluigi's Kart and launch pinballs while simultaneously boosting)
Plessie (Heavy)
SPECIAL ABILITY: Tidal Wave (A giant wave forms under Plessie's Kart and boosts him forward)
Mii (Choice)
SPECIAL ABILITY: Pit Party (Six Miis dressed in pit crew outfits show up and lift the Kart up and run with the Kart, faster than typical. Hitting an opponent knocks them off course, but you lose a Mii)
