ACL-Tome 57 logo

Tome 57 is an umbrella game created by Existence Software and based upon Koei Tecmo's Warriors franchise. The game combines a variety of different franchises and places them in a large scale story. It is the first title in the ⌭Saga.

In regards to the overall story of the ⌭Saga, Tome 57 is the second title in the series chronologically. Omen 76 takes place before and during the events of Tome 57, placing it slightly before it.

The game features cutscenes with art by Mino Taro (三野 太郎), who is best known as the character designer of the Nintendo DS dating simulator LovePlus. All cutscenes are fully voice acted, with Japanese and English dual-audio and subtitles available; though some characters may only speak one such language regardless of setting.

Gameplay[]

Attacking[]

Tome 57 is an action beat 'em up spin-off of Koei Tecmo's long-running Warriors titles. Unlike many other games, but like the Warriors franchise, players must take on large hoards of enemies at a single time, as opposed to one-on-one or small groups. In order to combat enemies, players must use various combo attacks, primarily done through combinations of buttons. Every character has a unique weapon (or weapons, in some cases), each with its own set of combo attacks.

There are two major types of attacks. There are standard attacks and more powerful "strong attacks". Standard attacks do little damage, but can be chained together for combos, while the strong attacks end combos with more powerful attacks.

Defeating enemies (or collecting certain power-ups) fills up the yellow Special Attack gauge. Once filled completely, the player can unleash an incredibly strong attack known as a Special Attack. Special Attacks deal more damage than strong attacks, and usually cover an extended range. However, there exists a fourth attack that can be activated through the Darkness Gauge. Upon filling the Darkness Gauge completely, the player can activate Awakening. In Awakening mode, the character's attacks and movements are quickened for a short duration of time, with every attack dealing 2x its normal damage output. After the Darkness Gauge fully drains, the character will activate an attack known as an Apocalypse Attack, though pressing the Special Attack button any time during the duration of Awakening mode can also activate a slightly weakened variant of this attack. The Darkness Gauger is filled by doing combos, with the amount filled being determined by the longevity of the combo.

Another big part of the attacking process is the ability to lock on to enemies. Larger enemies with more health, or other Warriors, can be locked-on to. While locked-on to an enemy, the camera will rotate around so the player is always capable of seeing that enemy.

Every warrior has its own unique weapon(s) with which they can fight enemies. Weapons can be categorized into one of several different Elements, with each type having different attributes that affect their attacks.

  • FIRE ELEMENT weapons deal out more damage, and certain attacks will light enemies on fire when defeated, creating explosions as they land.
  • EARTH ELEMENT weapons have a larger range of attack, and have a better chance of breaking through an opposing warrior's defences.
  • AIR ELEMENT weapons increase the amount of damage and knockback dealt to airborne enemies, and may temporarily stun foes on the ground.
  • WATER ELEMENT weapons have attacks that will cause fighters to take small amounts of damage over time that can not defeat enemies but lower their health to 1 HP.
  • LIGHT ELEMENT weapons increase the amount of damage dealt to opponents depending on the amount of enemies the warrior's attack hits; with the more enemies that are attacked at once increasing the damage output.
  • DARKNESS ELEMENT weapons increase the amount of damage dealt to opponents depending on the amount of enemies the warrior's attack hits; with the fewer enemies that are attacked at once increasing the damage output.
  • PLASMA ELEMENT weapons increase the amount of damage dealt to opponents depending on their current KO count. In addition, enemies that are defeated may occasionally fill the warrior's Darkness Gauge as opposed to Special Attack Gauge.

Defending[]

While attacking enemies is a large part of the gameplay, being defensive is also important as to conserve health so one is not defeated. The warrior can take on a defensive stance, which lowers the amount of damage taken as long as the guard is not broken by stronger attacks. The player can dodge in any direction, which, if timed correctly, can be used to fully avoid taking damage from attacks.

Warriors can also sprint, which is activated after running for a short while. While sprinting through large hoards of weaker enemies, the chances of being attacked by weaker enemies are decreased, as their attack animations are usually slow enough to miss the player. Warriors are also capable of jumping, with each weapon having a single string of aerial combos, and a strong attack that throws them back to the ground.

Skill Cards[]

Players can equip every warrior with up to three Skill Cards in-between each battle. Skill Cards can boost the warrior's stats, grant them additional properties, or, in some cases, alter the elemental damage that their weapon deals. Though each warrior may only have three Skill Cards, they also have a Power Limit that can not be passed; doing so will instead reverse the effects of all Skill Cards placed on them if saved. A warrior's Power Limit is unique to them, and it increases as they are levelled up.

There are two types of Skill Cards: permanent and temporary. Temporary Skill Cards are destroyed upon the completion of a battle, while permanent Skill Cards remain attached to a warrior until changed out. All Skill Cards can be found on the battlefield, and are earned by defeating enemies. Players can also fuse Skill Cards using the money they earn from defeating foes in order to create new Skill Cards.

List of Skill Cards[]

Skill Cards depict characters from a variety of different series. Golden backgrounds denote Ultra Rare Skill Cards, of which there are only one of each and can only be unlocked through specific means; light blue backgrounds denote Rare Skill Cards, which can be found by normal means but only after certain criteria has been met.

Gold Flower Transforms all nearby enemies into Gold Goombas.

Story[]

This section contains information solely about the plot of this game. For information on the chronology of the Bola Parasola as a whole and how this game fits in, see here.

The story primarily centres around Lana, though several side stories exist to tell the events of the other characters who exit the main story for a time.

Main Story[]

Eons ago there existed the ancient order of the Keepers, an extraterrestrial species that seemingly had control over the known and unknown universes. Part of this society was corrupted by the dark Aether, and, after being sealed away for millennia, would mutate into the deadly Apothicon race, devoid of any connection to their former brethren. The "Shadowman", an emissary of the Apothicons, does their bidding, unleashing chaos throughout all known universes solely for the sake of creating chaos.

After the events of Revelations (Call of Duty: Black Ops III), the Shadowman, and the Apothicon race, are banished from the "perfect world" created by Doctor Monty. The Shaowman, not contempt with the outcome of his plan, intends to seek revenge on his former friend, Monty, and tears apart the fabric of reality using another dimension's Summoning Key in order to create chaos and increase his power. Destroying any universe he comes across, he mutates himself with the dark energy contained within each dimension.

One of these dimensions is the Mushroom Kingdom. He invades this dimension, and insights chaos by empowering the mighty Bowser with dark energy. Fuelled with power and with the assistance, he attacks Princess Peach in his "greatest" attempt to kidnap her. As Mario and Luigi are currently assisting E. Gadd in Evershade Valley, Peach and Daisy step up to protect themselves from Bowser, and manage to successfully push him back from the castle grounds and the racecourse surrounding it. Feeding from the chaos of the battle and the hate emitting from both forces, the Shadowman begins to tear apart the universe. Coming to a truce, Peach's Forces and the Koopa Troop team up to stop the Shadowman, but are quickly defeated, and the Shadowman destroys their reality.

Before they can be erased from existence alongside their world, Bowser, Peach, Daisy, and Birdo are transported away by Lana, the Hyrulean Guardian of Time. Lana explains to them about the Shadowman, and she tells them that they should be safe in the realm that she created. Instead of cowering, Peach, Daisy, and Bowser insist that they assist Lana, and she reluctantly brings the three of them along to her next destination: Excavation Site 64, to find Doctor Maxis and learn the whereabouts of this dimension's Summoning Key.

After reaching the Dig Site, the four find Edward Richtofen surrounded by a hoard of Zombies and Wendigo. They plan to confront Richtofen and learn the whereabouts of Ludvig Maxis, though to do this they must first save him from his situation. After they manage to push back the undead and re-capture the Dig Site, Richtofen reveals that Maxis had begged him to place his brain in a drone, and he and three comrades had managed to do that. He also reveals that he has come back to France to find the Kronorium, which Lana has in her possession. Richtofen attempts to kill Lana, but Bowser saves her and he and the princesses subdue Richtofen. Lana explains the current situation and about the Shadowman, and Richtofen agrees to assist them should he be able to read the Kronorium afterwards. After they come to terms, Richtofen reveals the location of the Summoning Key: Morg City.

Though Lana manages to teleport the group to Morg City, she is fatigued from the sudden increase in using magic, and must rest. Unfortunately for her, Morg City is filled with enemies and the large King Dodongo, whom they must deal with so they can locate the Summoning Key. Though they slowly manage to drive the monsters from the centre of the city and defeat King Dodongo, they can not locate the Summoning Key. Before they can find the artifact, a man appears in front of them, calling herself Ryoko Asakura. Ryoko fights the group, telling them that she has orders to test the group. Though Lana is the most powerful she refuses as she is not at full strength, and the others decide to fight in her stead. After Ryoko is defeated, a man named Heartseed appears to face them both, alongside two girls: Himeko Inaba and Yui Kiriyama.

He explains that the Shadowman seems to target the universes with the most amount of chaos, and that his next target is Hyrule, which is currently at war against Ganondorf. Lana explains to him about how she has used most of her power, and can no longer transport them, no matter how much she wishes to. With some hesitation, Heartseed transports them all to Gerudo Desert, where Princess Zelda and Link are currently facing off against Ganondorf. Lana joins them quickly, explaining to them that her absence will be explained in time. Until then, Lana and her small group team up with the Hylians to defeat Ganondorf and his minions. Before they can take on Ganondorf however, the Shadowman appears, and attempts to kill Ganondorf. As only the Master Sword can kill him, Ganondorf retaliates, and is surprised when Lana and her group come to his aid. Zelda and Link, not sure as to what's going on, also join them, and together they manage to fight the Shadowman and weaken him. Though he is not defeated, his powers are weakened, and he disappears to restore his health. Likewise, Lana's powers are weakened, and she needs to rest as well. Using the last of her strength, Lana sends out a beacon, calling for assistance, to which Palutena responds almost immediately.

Palutena whisks the group away to Skyworld, and she reports to them the situation surrounding the universe. Although Pit was sucked into a portal, she is able to monitor his current location through her powers. She tells them that he is currently in a city known as Akihabara, and she sends Lana's group to assist him, though keeps Lana behind so she can recover her strength.

While in Akihabara, Edward Richtofen quickly takes charge of the small group, and order them in combat against the monsters that flood the streets. Though not difficult to defeat, the monsters never cease their attack, and the group eventually retreats into a nearby cafe known as May Queen Nyan-Nyan, where they find Pit and a handful of people that he has saved in the vicinity: Itsuki Aoi, Tsubasa Oribe, Madoka Kaname, Homura Akemi, Kyoko Sakura, Sayaka Miki, and Suzuha Amane; Suzuha having initially saved Pit from a group of monsters. The group, now larger, work together to push back the enemies and eventually come face-to-face with a massive Troll Kong that is ravaging the electric city. Though the Troll Kong almost defeats them due to its large size and powerful attacks, they are saved by a man calling himself the Outsider.

After a brief introduction, the Outsider takes Madoka Kaname, Homura Akemi, and Suzuha Amane away with him, assuming them to be the strongest warriors, and thus able to assist him in bringing down the wounded Troll Kong while the others escape; presumably before more Troll Kongs appear. While initially unwilling to go with him, the Outsider gets Suzuha and Homura to come with him after explaining to them that he needs their knowledge of time travel; though Madoka needs no reason to go other than because Homura is willing to. Continues to Outsider Story

Meanwhile, Richtofen and the others, having successfully escaped Akihabara, are brought back to Skyworld by Palutena, who tells them of even more scattered survivors, and tasks Lana to continue rescuing them until they can pinpoint the Shadowman's location. Lana agrees, though explains that her powers are dwindling due to extended use and that she needs a rest. Palutena then decides to split Lana's groups into three separate teams to accomplish this faster: one led by Pit, one by Edward Richtofen, and one by Yui Kiriyama. Palutena also promises Sayaka and Kyoko that she will keep tabs on the Outsider and protect Madoka, Homura, and Suzuha should she need to.

At this point, the three groups split up to rescue three specific individuals that Lana is looking for, who may know of ways to bring down the Shadowman. Palutena sends Pit to find Allen Walker, an exorcist whose powerful Innocence may be able to defeat the Shadowman; Edward Richtofen to find Ludger Will Kresnik, whose powers of Chromatus may be able to restore the fractured universes to the way they were before; and Yui Kiriyama to find Korosensei, who would be able to tire the Shadowman out due to being near-indestructible. The player can choose to follow the different groups in any order.

Palutena sends Pit, Link, Zelda, Peach, and Daisy to Skyloft, where the Goddess of Light detects a strong source of Innocence likely emitting from Allen or another Exorcist of his calibre. Though the area they are sent to is peaceful, the Shadowman soon appears and reveals that he had created the false source of Innocence to draw in Palutena, intending to kill her to steal her powers. Disappointed in how things played out, he summons Nihilego and Lusamine to deal with the small group. Lusamine, who continues to search for Lillie to get her hands on Nebby, eagerly accepts the Shadowman's orders, as she believes him to know of Nebby's location. Though they are able to defeat Lusamine, they are unable to defeat Nihilego, as its powers grow too strong. However, before they are defeated, Allen Walker and Lenalee Lee appear to aid them, reporting that they thought the large amount of Innocence was related to Akuma. Together they are able to weaken Nihilego enough for it and Lusamine to flee, and the former summons a group of monsters to cover it as it can heal.

Meanwhile, Richtofen, Itsuki, Tsubasa, Bowser, and Birdo are sent to Nia Khera. They are not surprised to see an army of monsters attacking the town and its townsfolk, and quickly attempt to drive away the enemies so they can go look for Ludger. Before they can do anything, the Shadowman appears and transports Itsuki, Tsubasa, and Bowser away, leaving only Richtofen and Birdo to deal with the army. Though Richtofen is reluctant to believe that the pink dinosaur will be of any help, he decides to trust in her strength and the two begin to fend off the enemy forces. As they begin to clear out the enemies in the village, they are surprised when a large Dragon appears, and a group of warriors are already duelling with it. As the Dragon draws closer to the village, Richtofen and Birdo aid the small team (consisting of Jude Mathis, Milla Maxwell, and Leia Rolando). Though they can defeat the Dragon, they are shocked to see it being ordered by the head of the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, Adolf Hitler. Richtofen, recognizing his fuhrer, doubts his ability to fight the German leader, but knowing that doing so is for the greater good, he and Hitler duel one-on-one as the others make sure the Dragon is down for good.

Itsuki, Tsubasa, and Bowser find themselves transported to Lake Epsilla, where Ludger Will Kresnik, Elle Mel Marta, and Alvin find them. Alvin explains that they too were separated from their friends, though they are unable to leave Lake Epsilla due to an invisible barrier. While they initially begin to lose hope, Ludger remembers that there were ruins located underneath a Fractured version of Lake Epsilla; and believes there may be some way out of their purgatory through there. However, before they can see if the ruins are there, a portal opens up and they are forcibly dragged into a Fractured Dimension, one where the Fractured Milla Maxwell that they had befriended is fighting an army of monsters in the very ruins they had decided to check out. Elle, though unable to fight, cries out to Milla, and Ludger and the rest quickly go to protect Elle and assist Milla, who is shocked to see them again.

The final group - Yui Kiriyama, Himeko Inaba, Ganondorf, Sayaka Miki, and Kyoko Sakura - are sent to Towa City. Expecting their target (Korosensei) to be a human and hard to track down, they are surprised when they instead find two girls and a large yellow octopus-like creature fighting off an army of the Shadowman's goons, led by the large and disgusting King Famardy. The yellow octopus introduces himself as Korosensei, and his two companions as Toko Fukawa and Komaru Naegi. Yui and Himeko decide to work with Komaru and Toko in order to clear a path to Famardy so that the others can take him down and hopefully stop the flow of monsters, but are unprepared for when Inferno Cop stands in their way. Though Inferno Cop is strong, the four girls take the policeman down and work to keep the flow of monsters away from the others as they defeat Famardy.

After the three groups retrieve their targets, Palutena returns them all to Skyworld. Deciding that they now have the necessary power to take on the Shadow Man with a chance of success, Palutena reveals the Shadow Man's location and agrees to transport everyone there in order to take them down. All but Lana, who is still recovering. Continues to Pericles Story

Being the only one left over, Lana escapes Skyworld, wanting to assist them in some way, knowing full well that using too much of her power could kill her. As she transports herself out of Skyworld, she finds herself in a place known as The Aether, where she meets one Dr. Monty. Dr. Monty explains to her that the Shadow Man can not be effectively killed without an artifact known as the Kronorium, which Monty believes was destroyed during the fight between the Shadow Man, Takeo Masaki, Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, and Edward Richtofen.

Monty then teleports himself away, claiming that he planted the seeds needed for the Shadow Man's defeat, and thus his role has ended. Leaving Lana in The Aether, she quickly comes face-to-face with an army of different monsters that Monty unknowingly held back with his mere presence. Leading these monsters is Thanatos, whose presence increases the enemies morale to significant levels. Due to her weakened state, she is unable to defeat Thanatos by herself, but is saved from death by those who went away with The Outsider: Madoka, Homura, and Suzuha. They explain nothing to Lana, only coming in to assist her before disappearing once more alongside The Outsider, leaving Lana trapped alone within a deteriorating Aether.

Meanwhile, Palutena and co., who had gone off to defeat the Shadow Man, take him on in the campus of Hakoniwa Academy, which had long since been evacuated. The group finds the Shadow Man, who has tricked three young girls - Mizuki Himeji, Minami Shimada, and Medaka Kurokami - into acting as his puppets, and they fight to keep the others at bay while the Shadow Man performs a ritual to summon Zygarde, whose power he intends to steal. After each of the three girls are defeated and the situation is properly explained to them, they join Palutena's army and agree to fight the Shadow Man too; though he disappears once he loses control of them, leaving behind a 50% completed Zygarde who quickly attacks them. After they defeat the Zygarde, they return to Skyworld to regroup, learning that Lana had disappeared sometime while they were gone.

Using her powers, Palutena is quickly able to discover roughly where Lana is and she learns that The Aether is incredibly unstable and ready to collapse at any moment, making her hesitant to send anyone to assist Lana directly. Both Milla Maxwells come up with the idea of trying to use the Four Great Spirits - Efreet, Undine, Sylph, and Gnome - the "prime" Milla controls to create a temporary sanctum to send Lana (and, unknowingly, every other person trapped within a deteriorating world) where they could rescue her without such a harsh time limit (though one would still be present as the Great Spirits would be unable to keep this world whole for long). Reluctantly, Palutena agrees, and sends a small group of warriors - Edward Richtofen, Korosensei, Link, Sayaka Miki, Kyoko Sakura, and Pit - into this dimension; she only sends these five as it would allow the Great Spirits to keep their world stable longer than should all of them travel into it. These five agree to go, and are transported into this world - Regal Island.

The six warriors are sent by Milla and Palutena to Regal Island, where they are immediately pitted up against a large army of enemies with a Garara Gator at its head. They manage to disperse the threat and gain some breathing room, but are unable to find Lana, or anyone else. They decide to split up into two groups in order to cover more ground faster- Richtofen, Pit, and Link go east, while Kyoko, Sayaka, and Korosensei west.

ACL Tome 57 character portal box - Ahsoka
Ahsoka Tano is a character from the Star Wars franchise. She first debuted in the 2008 animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Ahsoka Tano is a force-sensitive Togrutan female who was found on the planet Shili by Jedi Master Plo Koon. During the Clone Wars, she trained as the Padawan of Anakin Skywalker, despite his insistence of not wanting a Padawan of his own. Nicknamed "Snips" by her master, the two did not initially get along due to Anakin's reckless nature in combat; though they would later grow to form a trust.

Ahsoka Tano is surprisingly proficient with a lightsaber for someone her age, as she was able to hold her own against General Grevious for a short time despite him using two lightsabers and having much more experience in battle, and the highly trained assassin Asajj Ventress.

Ahsoka is a known practitioner of Jar'Kai, the act of using two lightsabers simultaneously. Originally, she would solely use a single green-bladed lightsaber in combat, though would later use it alongside a yellowish-green shoto (a shorter-bladed lightsaber).

Akane Kurashiki is a character from the Zero Escape franchise. She first debuted in the 2009 video game Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors.

Akane is one of the co-founders of an organization known as Crash Keys, which was founded in order to prevent the outbreak of a deadly virus named Radical-6 set to occur in the year 2028 and take down the Free the Soul cult thought to be responsible for it. She is a SHIFTer who can access the morphogenetic field to send her consciousness across different timelines.

Throughout her entire life, Akane faced many challenges and hardships. When she was young her father was wrongly-convicted for the murder of a woman, and her mother killed herself out of grief soon after. Later in her childhood, Akane and her brother Aoi were kidnapped and forced to participate in morphogenetic field tests, the result of which would end up causing a paradox as, much like the Schrodinger's Cat theory, she would be both alive and dead at the same time.

ACL Tome 57 character portal box - Akihisa
Akihisa Yoshii is a character from the Baka and Test light novel series, which began in 2007.

Akihisa Yoshii is a student of Fumizuki Academy, whose faculty separate their students depending on their academic standing and they can compete with virtual Avatars (Shōkanjū) based off their test scores. One of the least-intelligent and dense students of this school, Aki attends Class F and his Avatar has a special ability that allows him to interact with physical objects, which allows him to be used as a grunt by the academy's faculty members. Because of this ability (which, as a side effect, also makes him feel the same pain as his Avatar would), Akihisa is more accustomed to using his Avatar than his classmates, and as such can wield it in ways that are not reflected by his grades.

Akihisa lives alone with his older sister Akira, as their parents work overseas but supply the two with funds to aid their living. Though Aki receives enough money to live a healthy lifestyle, he tends to be wasteful, often spending his limited funds on video games and manga, and thus leaving him to eat only cheap ramen.

Sora and Shiro, collectively known as 『 』, are the main protagonists of the No Game No Life franchise. Both Sora and Shiro first appeared in the first volume of the No Game No Life light novel series: "It Seems Gamer Siblings Will Conquer a Fantasy World".

Sora and Shiro are NEET, hikikomori step-siblings well known in various online communities as 『 』, as they have a tendency to play four characters simultaneously that are all named 『 』, 『 001 』, 『 002 』, and 『 003 』. The two step-siblings are heavily dependent on each other, becoming despondent should they be separated by even a closed door. Though outcasts on Earth, their intellect garnered the attention of Tet, the God of an alternate game-based reality known as Disboard, where the two quickly became the rulers of the Elchean Kingdom and the Imanity race through a tournament set up by the late former-king of Elchea.

Sora was abandoned by his parents after a rough childhood, and as such he has a somewhat negative perception of humanity; placing all his faith in his step-sister Shiro. Despite being a shut-in, Sora is incredibly charismatic, and, after becoming one of the rulers of Elchea, shown to be a great and caring leader. While not as intelligent as his step-sister, Sora has a knack for predicting the movements of his opponents through their actions and facial expressions. He also has somewhat of a photographic memory, and although not a great liar, he is able to easily manipulate others into doing what he wants.

Shiro, though not as out-going or emotive as her step-brother, is far more intelligent; her IQ is nearly superhuman, as her parents had her perform government-regulated testing at a very young age. Fluent in eighteen languages, Shiro balances Sora out by being able to calculate endless amounts of possibilities in a short amount of time, being very mathematical and systematical in her gaming.

Komaru Naegi is a character from the Danganronpa franchise. She first made a brief, but somewhat important, appearance in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, before later becoming the main protagonist of the 2014 video game Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls.

Komaru Naegi is very similar to her elder brother Makoto Naegi; both are described as very plain-looking and average. However, while Makoto was regarded to have a very optimistic personality, Komaru instead has a very childish one who initially lacked confidence in herself.

Sometime after the start of The Biggest, Most Awful, Most Tragic Event in Human History but before The School Life of Mutual Killing, Komaru and thirteen others were kidnapped by the Ultimate Despairs and brought to Towa City, where they served as the first motive for the participants of the Killing School Life. Some time after the six survivors of that incident escaped Hope's Peak, she was found and rescued from the apartment that served as her prison by Byakuya Togami. Soon after, she was captured once more by a group of children calling themselves the Warriors of Hope, and was forced to participate in their Demon Hunting game.

Suzuha Amane is a character from the Steins;Gate series. Suzuha first appeared in the 2009 Xbox 360 visual novel Steins;Gate.

Suzuha Amane is a part-time employee of a CRT television store owned by the landlord of Rintarou Okabe's Future Gadget Laboratory, Yuugo Tennouji. She is an outgoing and athletic girl who quickly befriends the members of the Future Gadget Laboratory; though this is a farce. In actuality, Suzuha is a time traveller from the year 2036, who was sent back in time to prevent SERN from creating a time machine and to prevent the Third World War from occurring.

Suzuha is the daughter of Yuki Amane and Itaru Hashida, and was born in 2017. In the Beta World Line, she landed safely on the roof of the Radio Kaikan Building; but in the Alpha World Line, the time machine's coordinates were entered incorrectly and she appeared within the roof of the building. She came from a devastated Japan, ruined after the Third World War where she served as a soldier until escaping to aid in her father's work. Because of this, she has heightened senses, and is always on guard to defend from a sudden attack. This also makes her distant from the others of her time period, as she knows that they'd never understand the hardships she went through.

Communicators[]

Every army has its own communicator, who can provide various bonuses to the generals in their armies. Communicators do not fight, only speaking to the warriors and praising their efforts. Communicators do not have a role in the main story, and only appear in Free Mode. It can be assumed that, like Slippy, they exist in other universes but are in contact with the main characters.

RoboticsNotes - Airi
Airi

Robotics;Notes
Airi is an artificial intelligence program based off the appearance and personality of the sick Airi Yukifune. She is hardwired into the IRUO. network, and can only interact with her surroundings should such an area be in the database of IRUO.. She shares her body with the much more robotic Gezi, who is much more serious than the weather-obsessed Airi. Airi's troops have more HP than normal, though they deal less damage. She is voiced by Apphia Yu and Rie Kugimiya.

Kona Furugoori, primarily known by her alias of Frau Kojiro, is an anti-social programmer and the creator of the game Kill-Ballad. Due to her obsessive nature, she will often work non-stop on a project, even neglecting to sleep or eat until such project is completed. Frau's mother helped produce the television show Gunvarrel, and as such she is an over-protective fan of it. Though she can be serious at times, she is often a very perverted (and somewhat psychotic) girl, and this personality trait of her's often makes other characters uncomfortable. Frau's army captures Keeps at a faster speed, and they are harder for the opposing forces to take. She is voiced by Leah Clark and Kaori Nazuka.

Sarge seems to genuinely care for very few things, the sole exception being the shotgun he is always carrying. Sarge will temporarily double his faction's attack power (though decrease their morale) by yelling at them when they're doing poorly in battle. He is voiced by Matt Hullum.

She is Neku Sakuraba's first Partner in the Reaper's Game, and sacrificed her appearance - taking the appearance of her friend Eri - in exchange for being able to participate in the Game. Shiki's positive attitude boosts the morale of her troops, and makes it harder for their keeps to be lost. She is voiced by Heather Hogan and Anna Hachimine.

Enemies[]

Enemies are divided into several different classes.

  • Foot Soldiers are the weakest type of enemy, and they spawn the most frequently. Most Foot Soldier units have three different variants: a normal variant, an artillery variant that uses projectiles, a Summoner variant that can summon more enemies around opposing warriors, and a Captain variant. Captain variants are simply Foot Soldiers that control outposts and small platoons; they deal more damage and have more health, but they are otherwise identical to the normal Foot Soldiers.
  • Elite Soldiers are more powerful enemy units with a large amount of health. They act similarly to warriors, in that they have different combo attacks that can leave them open afterwards, though they only have (at most) three different combos. Elite Soldiers often act as Captains to larger platoons, and more powerful variants may also appear as Generals in certain missions.
  • Special Units are units that do not fit into either of the above categories.

Boss Warriors[]

Boss Warriors are special warriors that can not be played as, instead acting as bosses within the game's story.

Though he doesn't appear much in Tome 57, he is the catalyst for many of the game's events, and as such could technically be seen as the main antagonist. The house itself only acts one keep, and a large amount of the stage takes place in the swamp surrounding it.
