The Pokemon Trainer is a character in Super Smash Bros. Something . Returning from Super Smash Bros. Brawl, he's very similar to his past incarnation. He packs in five pokemon, three from previous games and two new ones, Charizard, Greninja, Lucario, Decidueye, and Gardevoir.
Five pokemon instead of three. You choose three pokemon when selected.
Took out Squirtle and Ivysaur.
Pokemon Change is activated by pressing special while shielding.
Type effectiveness has been taken out.
Stamina has been taken out.
When a pokemon is defeated, they can't be used until 30 seconds have passed.

Charizard spews a stream of fire from his mouth. It does rapid damage, but slowly dissapates when used.

Charizard douses himself in flames and charges forward. Does high damage and causes recoil damage.

Charizard barrel rolls upward, damaging anyone in his way.
Down
Rock Smash
Charizard pulls a rock out of the ground and crushes it, doing damage to anyone close.
Final Smash
Mega Charizard X
Charizard mega evolves into Mega Charizard X. He can fly around, shooting fireballs and dashing into enemies.
Greninja[]
Neutral
Water Shuriken
Greninja charges up and launches out a watery shuriken. When fully charged, it hits multiple times.
Side
Shadow Sneak
Greninja teleports and strikes the enemy. The place he teleports is determined by his shadow, which can be moved by the player.
Up
Hydro Pump
Greninja shoots streams of water propelling him in the desired direction.
Down
Substitute
If attack, Greninja turns into a substitute doll, and strikes the enemy.
Final Smash
Secret Ninja Attack
Greninja launches opponents into the air. He transforms into Ash Greninja before slashing at the enemy, and finishing off with a final strike downward.
Lucario[]
Neutral
Aura Sphere
Lucario charges up and fires a ball of aura energy.
Side
Force Palm
Lucario fires a blast of aura energy from his palms.
Up
Extreme Speed
Lucario blasts streams of aura energy from his palms, propelling him in the desired direction.
Down
Double Team
Lucario emits afterimages of himself. If an opponent touches Lucario, Lucario will counterattack with a flying kick.
Final Smash
Mega Lucario
Lucario mega evolves, where he becomes more powerful, faster, immune to flinching, and gains super armor.
Decidueye[]
Neutral
Spirit Shackle
Decidueye fires an arrow at the enemy. When fully charged it stuns enemies.
Side
Leaf Blade
Decidueye rapidly slashes the enemy.
Up
Brave Bird
Decidueye dashes forward in the desired direction. Causes recoil damage.
Down
Foresight
If an enemy is in Decidueye's line of sight, he marks them. While marked, Decidueye's attack bypasses all of the enemies evasive abilities (shielding and dodging), and causes his Spirit Shackles home into them. This lasts a few seconds.
Final Smash
Spectral Arrow Raid
Decidueye jumps into the air, burying anyone nearby. Then, Decidueye rains down several arrows around him, before diving down and doing ending the attack.
Gardevoir[]
Neutral
Energy Ball
Gardevoir charges up and fires a ball of pure energy.
Side
Disable
Gardevoir sends out a flash of light in front of her. If an opponent is hit, they are unable to do their special attacks for a few seconds.
Up
Teleport
Gardevoir teleports in the desired direction.
Down
Reflect
Acting similar to how she used it as a Pokeball Pokemon, Gardevoir generates a large field of energy around her. All projectiles fired will reflect, damages the user. Gardevoir can move during this, however, if Gardevoir takes damage or does an attack, the field goes away.
Final Smash
Psydimension
Gardevoir transforms into Mega Gardevoir. She stuns anyone nearby and sends them inside of this cube. Gardevoir uses Psychic to slam them into the walls multiple times, before launching them out of the cube.
