Pokémon NZ (Placeholder Title) is a video game released on the Nintendo NZ on December 1st, 2028. It's considered Generation 10 of Pokémon, also known as Generation X.

Description[]

Welcome to the Itia region, a sprawling and diverse region with many biomes, settlements, and Pokémon in it. Visit Vene City, the Ametrine Caves, and even swim in the vast ocean! Here in the Itia region, Pokémon live with people in harmony like most regions, but studies show that they have an even deeper connection here.

Challenge all of the Gyms, ranging from a restaurant to an aquarium, and unlock your Pokémon's true potential with Mega Evolution (including new ones like Mega Primeape and Mega Reuniclus!)

Wild Pokémon battles have been enhanced with a new mechanic titled HoloShields- a form of protection for when a wild Pokémon tries to attack you! Send out your Pokémon and tap the A/B/X/Y buttons to use different moves, as you move your Pokémon around a 3D environment, unlike anything else in the franchise.

Roaming around is free, and you can challenge the Gyms in any order- the Gym Leaders' teams will adjust depending on what order you challenge them in.

Features[]

New Types[]

Light(fixed) a type usually used by Pokémon that have lights or a special aura to them. Light is super-effective against Dark, Ghost, and Poison, not very effective against Bug and Fairy, and has no effect on Grass and Electric Pokemon. It's also weak to Dark and Ghost, and immune to Fire.

Cosmictypelogo a type used by space-themed Pokémon (like Beeheeyem and Clefairy) and some otherworldly Pokemon (Palkia changes to Water/Cosmic). Cosmic is super-effective against Normal, Electric, and Ground, not very effective against Ice and Fire, and has no effect on Cosmic and Psychic Pokemon. It's also weak to Steel, Poison, and Rock, resists Fighting, and is immune to Fairy and Ice.

Wild Pokémon Battles[]

Wild Pokémon battles are entirely different, this time they work in a 3D space.

The opposing Pokémon will attack and defend whenever needed, but you can send out one of your Pokémon to fight back. This time, the wild Pokémon will also try to attack you, rather than just your Pokémon. The wild Pokémon will attack at random, instead of in turns. You are also given a HoloShield, which is a form of protection against wild Pokémon.

Info & Credits[]

The Itia region is based off of Italy and the seas surrounding it. (Note: The assets used in towns, cities, and other areas except for the base map are NOT mine. They belong to stopdrawingcartoons on DeviantArt. Don't credit me for any of the assets, as I simply put them on the base of my map. Be sure to follow them on Instagram, @jakeymon._.trainer)

Sallen City[]

Sallen City is where you, the player, start your adventure. The Itia Pokémon Laboratory & Summer Camp are here as well. The player and their mom's apartment is also here. It's connected to the Swiftleaf Grasslands and Mistfall Valley.

Swiftleaf Grasslands[]

The Swiftleaf Grasslands is the first main area you can visit. It's a vast grassland with bushes, trees, and a few cabins.

Story[]

The game starts off with you picking your character customization, and after that, you're greeted by your family's Bergamutt waking you up by barking. After a short talk with your mom, you get sent out to the Itia Summer Camp. Here, several campers and counselors are available to talk to. Before you go into the camp itself, you're given the Pokéventure Summer Camp Pass by a counselor.

Once you arrive at the camp, you can interact with some of the campers. However, walking into the battle arena will start a cutscene. Professor Olive walks out of a cabin, and tosses 3 Pokéballs onto the battle arena. 3 unique Pokémon- Marmotto, Larvander, and Dollfin- are brought out of the Pokéballs, and you're given the choice to pick one. Once you pick yours, another camper will push you out of the way and take the starter that has a type advantage towards yours. A younger girl camper will pick up the final starter.

Professor Olive will send out more Pokémon (this time more basic Pokémon, like Hatchine) and several other campers will pick them. Once all 20 campers have Pokémon, Professor Olive's assistant, Sunny, will make everyone have a battling partner. Coincidentally, you get paired up with the camper that picked the stronger starter. After insulting your choice of Pokémon, he says his name- Matteo.

You and Matteo have a Pokémon battle, and afterwards, the young girl from earlier walks up to you with her battling partner. They both introduce themselves as Sienna and Callie, sisters. Sienna, the younger one, remarks that your Pokémon needs to be healed, and gives you 2 Potions. While talking, Sunny walks over and hands the 4 of you Badge Holders, which are cases to hold your Badges in.

Sunny explains the Pokémon League and how Gyms work, and hands all 4 of you Stamp Cards. Stamps are things given to you when you complete a certain task, like beating 5 Gyms or beating the Elite Four. Professor Olive walks over, and exclaims that you're finally ready to begin your adventure. First, however, she gives you each 10 Pokéballs and explains how catching works.

Sunny and Professor Olive walk off, and Matteo does as well. Callie waves goodbye, and Sienna says the same. You're now free to go to the Swiftleaf Grasslands and the Sallen City Gym.

However, you cannot go past Granite Pass without a Gym Badge. Once the Sallen City Gym is beaten, Callie will walk up to you with Sienna in tow. Callie will challenge you to a battle. Her team consists of a Level 12 Shockupine and a Level 13 Doughmouse.
