The Fierce Deity is a deity, likely of either Hylian or Terminian descent, that appears as one of the four characters Link can transform into in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Link can obtain the Fierce Deity Mask by giving the twenty non-transformation masks to the four children on the Moon crashing into Termina.

The Fierce Deity Mask can only be used by Link during boss battles; though the game's Nintendo 3DS remake, Majora's Mask 3D, also allows Link to transform into the Fierce Deity within the two Fishing Holes of Termina.

In the Majora's Mask manga series, a character resembling the Fierce Deity managed to slay a draconid Majora by playing music for him for three days and three nights (this music is also hinted to be able to control the flow of time). He would later go on to carve Majora's Mask out of the dragon's hide.

Abilities[]

The Fierce Deity Mask allows Link to transform into the Fierce Deity, which vaguely resembles his adult form from Ocarina of Time. Because of his adult physique, Link is generally stronger and faster than his child self, as well as greatly increasing the range of his attacks.

The Fierce Deity wields a two-handed sword with a helix-shaped blade. Because of its size and weight, Link is not capable of carrying a shield while in this form; though the amount of damage and range of his attacks balance out his lack of defence.

Even though the Fierce Deity's sword is different from the Master Sword, it shares the Blade of Evil's Bane's ability to fire sword beams; making it the only sword capable of doing so in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.
