Miss Hoolene was revealed as a playable character on July 6th, 2018. Her involvement in the story has not yet been revealed, but it can be assumed that it's extremely major.

Bio[]

The inventor of baseball - that's right, baseball - in the Mynisverse, and basically Earth's very first "alien celebrity," having crawled her way from her escape pod all the way to the top of the food chain. Miss Hoolene has been around since around the point Noah first became a thing, and during her time on Earth, she has accumulated an immense fortune and a vast following, particularly in Canada. What most people don't know, though, is that she has been willingly trading information and resources to the Twisted Cross in exchange for their medicinal expertise extending her lifespan. In a way, she holds some partial responsibility for their heartless acts... yet she remains adamant that her role is a neutral one.

But with the end of the Cross's ultimate plan nearing its finalization, and her apprentice turning away from her after being disgusted by her "true" nature, Hoolene may be on the verge of reevaluating her neutrality, for better or for worse.

Special Moves[]

Attack Description
FSBOWordArt Gimmick
Bubble Shield
The bubble surrounding Hoolene's body protects her from harm for the most part. As long as an attack doesn't hit her head directly, the bubble will drastically reduce the damage and knockback she takes, allowing her to potentially survive heavy attacks in spite of her super-light weight as long as she's in the right spot.
FSBOWordArt NeutralSpecial
Pressure Jet
After pressurizing her bubble (causing the inside to become more and more "fizzy"), Hoolene fires a stream of water that deals no damage but can push enemies around. Using it in midair pushes enemies around less, but pushes Hoolene around significantly more, allowing it to be used for omni-directional recovery. The move can (and, in some cases, must) be charged to increase its pushing power.
FSBOWordArt SideSpecial
Fastball
Spikes extend out of Hoolene's bubble as she quickly rolls forwards, plowing through enemies in her path. Jumping mid-roll allows her to maintain her spiked form briefly in midair, but attempting to double jump will change her bubble back to normal.
FSBOWordArt UpSpecial
Raindrops
Hoolene fires a droplet of water out of the top of her bubble. The droplet arcs through the air while moving forwards, before falling downwards towards enemies. The exact trajectory of the droplet can be altered by holding the control stick in different ways.
FSBOWordArt DownSpecial
Water Balloon
Hoolene unleashes a pulse of water from her bubble, damaging enemies on all sides of her... but not by much. Can be used to reflect projectiles.
FSBOWordArt OmegaTech
Squiderson Strike-Out
Hoolene's bubble accumulates an immense amount of pressure, clouding the water with countless bubbles. Then, it suddenly fires her head forwards like a cannonball, dealing massive damage to enemies that she headbutts on her journey across the screen. After she hits a wall or a blast zone, she reappears in her bubble totally unharmed.

Taunts[]

  • Up Taunt: Hoolene leaps out of her bubble, twirling in midair, before landing back inside of it.
  • Side Taunt: A fountain of water bursts upwards out of her bubble, and tosses her head up and down on its center.
  • Down Taunt: tba
