FantendoQuest is a RPG game that takes place within the New Fantendoverse. It focuses on a brand new set of heroes that have not been introduced in the Fantendoverse before and will feature cameos from old and new Fantendo characters alike. It was revealed on Christmas Eve of 2016 (December 24th, 2016).

Plot[]

Unlike most Fantendoverse games that have a long and complicated plot, this one is pretty simple.

Long ago, a sorcerer from Huxxabu named Struzax wanted to summon the God of Destruction with plans to control him and seize power across the universe. He was sealed away in a crystal, never to be heard from again, thanks to the combined efforts of The Fan and The Enemy and their army of warriors.

Struzax has returned however and has joined forces with some of the Fantendoverse's most feared (but lesser) foes: The Flame Thralls, Liameno, The Spewage, and White Goddess. Most of the Fantendo heroes are not yet aware or are able to stop him, so it falls on a Siandrall named Brix to stop him…

Gameplay[]

FantendoQuest is a old school RPG, based off Dragon Quest and the original Final Fantasy titles. You play as Brix (and recruit other party members along the way) and explore the world from a top-down view. Only one controllable party character appears on the map screen at a time, known as the leader. You can see your stats pretty much at all times via the top of the screen and while in battle. You can hit the select or start button to see your items and use them from the menu that pops up. You can also assign six favorite items to access quickly.

Character skills are important and you only get so many (level cap is 60). While you won't be able to spend any at the start of the game, you get 1 with every level (with a max of 59 for each character). You'll have to spend them wisely. Each skill effects a character differently, from how much they put out for sheer damage to how much they take damage from attacks.

You can also split up your team in certain areas and switch to them using the triggers of the VRaptor. This is useful as some characters are different sizes or have certain Innate Powers that other party members simply don't. This also allows each party member to take on monsters individually. During split up mode, the player can control only one character at a time. Party members can talk to each other during split up mode, but this doesn't necessarily do much beyond some dialogue between them.

While exploring the maps, monsters will randomly attack. The player can control how often monsters attack via switching between Sneaking/Normal/Hunting modes. Normal is default and has normal enemy encounter rates. Sneaking has less monster encounters while Hunting has more monster encounters.

Party Members[]

Brix[]

Brix
BrixFQ Brix is the main character of FantendoQuest and is a towering Siandrall with the Swordsmaster class. She might seem like a complete amateur at first, she can be one of the most powerful offensive members of the team if you spend her skill points wisely. Recommended Skills
  1. Attack Up
  2. Critical Swing
  3. Haste Up
  4. Defense Up

Brix's Skills[]

Brix's Full Skill Set
Critical Swing

Increases Brix's ability to do a Critical Swing, a powerful strike that randomly happens every time Brix attacks. This does way more damage than usual.
Tips: Spend about 11-15 Skill Points on this, but don't prioritize it over Attack Up. Attack Up directly affects this skill and it's more important.

Attack Up

This increases Brix's damage output.
Tips: The most important skill Brix can have. Use 12-15 Skill Points on this and keep it pretty up while not ignoring other skills Brix has.

Haste Up

This increases Brix's speed for attacks.
Tips: Keeping Haste Up will allow Brix to attack more often and decrease the chances that an enemy will be able to evade or block her attacks. Pretty crucial, spend about 11-15 skill points on it.

Defense Up

This allows Brix to take more damage and block and avoid attacks.
Tips: Brix is your primary attacker more towards the end game and will usually have a healer and a good amount of health to utilize but it might be wise to make sure that some Skill Points go towards this.

Taunt

This allows Brix to taunt enemies and focus the enemy's attention towards them.
Tips: As it looks like, this skill is kind of useless. You'll have plenty of potions and know how to use them once you have more than one party member and it's a terrible idea to have if Brix is only member of your party. It's pretty situational but don't waste your points on it.

Focus

Brix gets more defense at the cost of their damage output.
Tips: If you intend to build Brix into a offensive beast, this skill is a joke. Brix will have more than enough health by the end game for it to not really matter and staying alive won't really be a problem by that point. Skip it.

Innate Powers[]

Brix's Innate Powers
Read the Runes of the Primordial

Brix can read the Runes of the Primordial, which provides both direction and allows for the opening of certain areas.

Tall Stature

Brix is naturally tall, allowing her to grab treasure chests that are above a ledge that would normally require finding a path to find… nobody has time for that! She can additionally pick fruit from trees and hit buttons high up.

Kass[]

Kass
KassFQ Kass is a librarian working on Huxxabu and your second party member. She's timid and shy, but she knows how to use Magic and can get in small areas. She's rather helpful in the early game but gets kind of weak towards the end. Recommended Skills
  1. Aura Attack or Group Aura Attack
  2. Critical Aura
  3. Aura Defense
  4. Aura Haste

Kass' Skills[]

Kass' Full Skill Set
Critical Aura

Increases the chance of an Aura doubling the effect it usually has.
Tips: Very good for Kass to have, but without high base Auras this skill doesn't mean much. Prioritize it when your Auras are at a good strength. Spend about 11-15 Skill Points on it.

Aura Attack

This increases Kass' damage output.
Tips: You'll want Kass to deal a lot of damage, so spend about 12-15 skill points in this area.

Group Aura Attack

This increases the entire party's damage output temporarily by 12% with each cast. Caps at 3 uses per battle.
Tips: Either spend the points on Aura Attack or utilize this skill instead. That said, most of your party should be capable of taking out enemies without it.

Aura Haste

This increases Kass' speed for attacks.
Tips: Kass can cast spells faster? Seems pretty good. Invest about 11-15 skill points in this but it won't mean much if Kass' auras aren't already pretty good.

Group Aura Haste

This increases the entire party's speed temporarily by 12% with each cast. Caps at 3 uses per battle.
Tips: Again, either spend the points on Aura Haste or this.

Aura Defense

This allows Kass to take more damage and block and avoid attacks.
Tips: Kass is kind of a glass cannon, and her health will be the lowest out of all the party members so wisely invest in this.

Group Aura Defense

This increases the entire party's defense temporarily by 12% with each cast. Caps at 3 uses per battle.
Tips: Either this or Aura Defense, not both.

Innate Powers[]

Kass' Innate Powers
Transfer

Kass can enter inside of electronics and wires and jump out, allowing to hack areas otherwise inaccessible or get to areas that nobody else could

Tiny Stature

Kass is embarrassingly small, even for a Sparkling. This allows her to get into areas that Brix could never get into, such as a vent or a small tunnel or even a building with a really small door.

This bee can probably go through anything life throws at it, with all that orange potion in it's belly. How much pulp do you think he has inside of hm?

Worth 20 Bees.

Drop Rate: 1/2360 from any enemy.

StardewBee NormalFQ

Stardew Bee

This silly bee has had one too many Stardew Potions! Those are for the adventurers, not you! Oh well, he looks as stunning as the night sky, and looks just as tasty as the fruit. He's not for eating though!

Worth 50 Bees.

Drop Rate: 1/4720 from any enemy.

GladeBee NormalFQ

Glade Bee

This bee probably came from a specialized hive in the Neverglade. How did he get all the way here? Well, all I know is that this traveler can stay as long as he likes.

Worth 25 Bees.

Drop Rate: 1/400 from any "Glade" enemy.

Bee MaracityFQ

Maracity Bee

How did this silly bee live in the water for so long? He can stay here until he dries off, and even longer if he wants to.

Worth 35 Bees.

Drop Rate: 1/400 from any enemy in Maracity.

Bee Badges[]

Needless to say, these are pretty valuable. Beyond just badges that the player can collect and use to decorate their V2Menu, they actually have some in game value in that they are extra skill points that be assigned to a specific character wearing them. Additionally, they have some other abilities.

Stock Market[]

Each town has their own Leeky Insider, who will allow you to invest in the market, namely the stock market. You can invest as much money as you want into the stocks, and it will rise and drop accordingly. The important thing is to buy low and sell high; this is how you will make the most money.

Stocks[]

Each stock is based off a thing you can buy or collect. While the stocks will rise or lower at random, you can influence this by buying or collecting certain types of things.

Leeky Insider + Company Information
LeekyInsider Red

Witch's Brew Industries (WBI)

Witch's Brew Industries creates all kinds of health potions for adventurer's. It's recovering from a health scare involving a bacterial disease that was accidentally spread. Considering how many people need health potions, this is a stock to watch for.

LeekyInsider Orange

Orange's Tree Co. (OTC)

Stay near Zest Village but fight off the monsters here until you get to a pretty good level (about 3-4) and start heading to the west. There's an optional mountain area but the monsters here will likely be way too overpowered at this early stage, so that means you'll have to come back here later.

If you come back above level 30, he'll only Snapback when he starts running out of health for the first time, but keeping haste and defense will help a lot here. He's not a hard boss fight when you are the proper conditions, but he's not too easy either.

Get some rest, you'll probably need it. There's a broken bridge that they won't let you cross for now (Brix will remark that they could cross it easily but rules are rules.) but there is a weapons vendor that you'll need to talk to for upgrading your weapon. Later you can use this town to just go to Xerlin without the hassle that is going through the tunnel.

NPCs
NPC WallaceWallace Wallace says: "Hello traveller! Need a place to stay?"

>What can you tell me about the town?
"It's pretty quiet around here these days. The bridge broke down and there's only that tunnel to get shipments between here and Xerlin. Only problem is that tunnel is overrun by monsters now, so it's just a hassle and a half to get in there so most people don't even bother."

(After defeating Ghost Queen) Wallace says: "Now that the ghosts are gone, the bridge was able to be rebuilt... this was your work, eh? Well, I'll have to give a discount now, won't I?"

Huxxabu - Zeniderr - Abandoned Tunnel[]

This tunnel is where you're going to be introduced to the poison effect for the first time. Poison lingers outside of battle but you only take damage from it when you're in battle, so keep your eye out for that. Yellow Potions can only be found by killing enemies right now, so you're going to be mostly using Red Potions to keep your health up for now. Skills: Speed Spirit (Speed +18%), Strong Spirit (Damage +20), Stamina Spirit (Heal 35)

You Win: 3 Red Potions, Metal Dress and Stardew Scarf, 200 QuestCoin, Boss Key

Battle Tips: The Ghost Queen is a rather basic fight, but that doesn't mean she's not difficult. She'll be able to output a bunch of damage already even without Strong Spirit, and she's able to heal. So naturally, outputting a ton of damage is critical, as she doesn't actually have a way to boost her rather low defense. This is why you're going to want a lot of green potions, so plan accordingly if you plan on taking her on. If you need to, run all the way back to Xerlin.

Otherwise, you'll be in for somewhat of a long haul. Keep your health high, as Speed Spirit can sometimes allow the Ghost Queen to attack twice in a single turn. That's a lot of damage (almost 60), although she never tends to hit her max if she attacks twice.

Once she is defeated, it's revealed that the real Ghost Queen was controlling a vessel named Anase, who is a NPC you can talk to. They'll reveal where to go next. You can otherwise skip it and go straight for the Silver Chest.

>What is Liameno doing on Huxxabu?
"Either going to destroy it or take it over and convert it into another shrine planet for his gods. Eugh... I can't imagine the pair being good after what he's done in their image. He has to be stopped; Liameno has the tendency to be a coward when someone more powerful than him shows up. With the power he has now though, that might be very hard..."

>Power?
"Struzak gave him the powers of the ocean and seas. He has the entirety of Maracity under control for now... and that's where you'll have to go next. It's past the Neverglade... which is it's own problem, really," She shudders. "It's cold in here. I'll be out in Xerlin... maybe we'll meet again someday." You nod and leave.

Huxxabu - Zeniderr - Neverglade Plains[]

It's worth noting that there is no escape from the Neverglade after this point (you won't be able to escape until you fulfill Gladesullen's quest); be sure you're stocked up.

GladesullenFQGladesullen Gladesullen says: "Well, well, what brings you here to the Neverglade?"

>We're going to Maracity.
"Maracity? Hah! Good luck, with that Liameno tyrant holding it hostage. I really wish I could let you pass, but my other sisters have the other three pieces of the Neverblade Medallion that would let you easily pass through here, as well as bypass most of it's defenses. It's no fit for amateur adventurers like yourselves."

>Where are your sisters?
"They're lost within the Neverglade itself. I have no idea where they could have gone..." she puts her hand to her chin. "Hey, why don't you find them? I bet you're just dying to do a quest for someone like me, right?"

>Right...
"Well, get on it, slaves!" she opens the entrance to the stomach, allowing you inside. "Don't get too lost!" she cackles.

Huxxabu - Zeniderr - Neverglade Stomach[]

This is the bulk of the Neverglade. Needless to say, this is a long and wild goose chase. You're searching for something that doesn't exist- the three sisters. They don't exist, she's trapped you here. Needless to say, you'll need proof as opposed to well... a hunch, so head to the four corners of the map and uncover the skulls and then talk to Gladesullen.

"Well, you know the truth now. Yes, I killed them long before you ever got here. I knew the glade was dangerous, that it would consume us; when I realized that, I had to kill them to spare them. I know my way out of here, but why would I when the glade feeds me and nurtures me like it does?"

>You're insane!
"Yeah, I knew you would say that." The floor of the Neverglade opens, dropping your party into the Bowels of the Neverglade.

Battle Tips: Gladesullen is kind of a pain. In addition to her huge attack output, she has the tendency to use moves that will freeze or poison your party. Luckily, these rates are rather low and won't happen too often unless the RNG really hates you. You'll wanna be fast and not give her a lot of chances to freeze or poison you, as her health isn't that much more than the Ghost Queen. Hammer her away using the damage spells Kass has and she'll be done for in no time.

Huxxabu - Zeniderr - Neverglade Exit[]

After the battle with Gladesullen, the ground comes back up and pushes you out of the Neverglade. There's no enemies and a single Glade Pod resides here. Rest up in the Glade Pod and then onward to Maracity!

Battle Tips: Kadini is a mini-boss, and has about the same amount of health as Ghost Queen. He can do huge damage outputs to your party, so make sure you have a ton of potions. He'll heal via sapping away your life force, but otherwise he has no way to boost his health, and you can take a ton out while he's in his ReCharge state. Get your haste up and take him out quickly to take his Keycard and open up the food court.

Huxxabu - Maracity - Liameno's Ship (Food Court)[]

Kimbra is the only person in this room and she won't let you get to Liameno without a fight. Surprisingly, there are no enemies in this room.

NPCs

Kimbra licks at her knife. "Oh, you're here for him, huh? Mm... Well, I ain't gonna tell ya."

>Then we'll just cut through you.
Kimbra's eyes open. "You two? Maybe the taller one might be able to get a hit on me, but that tiny one is only good for a couple things..." Kass grits her teeth, clearly annoyed. "Besides... I'm flexible, Liameno knows that..."

>We're not interested.
"Very well then..." Kimbra says, closing her mouth as a snake crawls through her shirt and out her sleeves. "If it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get alright!"

(After defeating her) Kimbra says: "Impressive... it's too bad you two are interested, I would love to be dominated like that again..."

(After defeating Liameno) Kimbra says: "Well, well. Very impressive~" Kimbra licks at her knife as Brix and Kass walk away slowly.

Suggested Level 17 18 20

Skills: Snake Bite (60% chance to poison), Butcher's Knife (11+ to current attack), Flirty Eye (lowers defense of target)

You Win: 3 Plum Potions, 700 QuestCoin

Battle Tips: Kimbra Blowfish is all offensive based and if you don't play defensive yourself, you could get destroyed yourself. She has a lot of HP but she can lose a lot of it fairly quickly and has no way to recover it. Keep whaling on her while also using Orange Potions and defensive spells and you'll eventually defeat her rather easily.

Huxxabu - Maracity - Liameno's Ship (Throne Room)[]

Finally, Liameno. Approach him and engage battle with him once you're ready- you can head back to the food court if you need to.

NPCs

>We'll see about that.
"Yes, we'll see about that. You two get to test out a new suit I've been working on! I call it the Pulverizer!" Liameno slams a electro hammer onto the floor.

(After defeating him) Liameno says: "Clearly, I need to do some more testing... I'll be off."

You Win: 3 Plum Potions, 1000 QuestCoin, Liameno Key, Tidal Nova, Maracity Dress and Maracity Scarf

Battle Tips: Liameno is mostly offensive, as he has a ton of hit points, but expect him to use Bloodlust when he runs low on health. Keep your health up and watch out if he paralyzes you; it can take up to five turns before you're able to attack again. Thankfully, it's rather low, but you won't be able to do much about it right now, as yellow potions only heal poison.

Huxxabu - Maracity - Maracity Ocean Square (Post-Liameno)[]

You Win: 5 Plum Potions, 800 QuestCoin

Battle Tips: Venice has a life restoring move that can be used pretty much ad-infintum until her internals are shut down by Kass. Brix can hit Venice while Kass fights the internals, but it is generally suggested to not let Venice's health go down more than 75% or Venice will heal. After her internals are taken out, it is generally suggested to keep hitting her and keeping haste up, as Venice has no way to increase her defense.

Battle Tips: Similar to Venice, Zoe has a Internal that Kass has to defeat while Brix attempts to attack the creature without getting their health down enough that it wants to heal before it's Internal is dead. Battle Tips: Spur can be somewhat frustrating at first glance because he will strike first no matter what you do with his Energy Whip. But beyond that, he has no tricks up his sleeves except for Jade Mask, which he'll only ever start using when he's low on health. However there's only so many times he can use Jade Mask before you can end him.

Round 4 Boss
DaleeFQDalee
Normal Hard Lunatic
Hit Points 300 350 390
Suggested Level 24 25 26

Skills: Star-tip Spear, Smokescreen (blinds targets), Wall Jump (attack dodge)

You Win: 5 Puke Green Potions, 2000 QuestCoin

Battle Tips: Dalee is really punishing and if you don't have Milk Jugs on hold, it's going to be a pretty hard battle. She has a ton of HP and can dodge attacks on occasion, and the only real recourse you truly have is to stay strong until she falls. It's just a matter of keeping haste up and removing blinding effects when she gives them to your party.

Round 5 Boss (Last Round)
ZeezaAnarchyZeeza Anarchy
Normal Hard Lunatic
Hit Points 350 400 450
Suggested Level 24 25 26

Skills: Death Blow (devastating attack that drains half of both party members' health on the first turn), Hastable (increases own haste), Smokescreen (blinds targets), Cyber Webbing (traps target for three turns)

You Win: Brotherhood of Shadows Cloak, Mana Potion, 2000 QuestCoin

Battle Tips: Right away, you can tell Zeeza is copying a lot of what the previous opponents were doing, or doing more devastating versions of them. Zeeza is copying Spur on her first move, and does even more damage than what he was doing. Keep your health up, keep your status clear, and keep your haste up so you can avoid a lot of her moves and keep it up because she'll increase her own after a couple misses.

Huxxabu - Yyburn - Red Ruins Colosseum (Rematches)[]

You can return here for rematches with some of the bosses you've faced before during your journey. It is recommended you come here somewhat later, as many of the bosses aren't re-balanced for anything under level 30. This is a great place to get the elusive Bee Potions, as they are dropped by pretty much all the bosses here and you can challenge them as many times as you like.

Another village, with a couple of interesting things going on. Yuki Onna sells Snowflakes, which are faster direct (but one-use) weapons and Furi has her restaurant which is the best option to grind for experience provided you have the money to back it up. Melodie Blue and the Beeaboo also lurk around here. What you really need though, is to get to Dr. Riela's lab, which is located across Furi's Wood Fired Grill and Gym. There's a inn if you need it, although there's no place to buy potions.

Huxxabu - Yyburn - Forest of Fire[]

Forest of Fire notably lacks any enemies in the area, being home to Waltz the Wolf and his shady buisness. A entire quest line to free the fairies is here, should the player want to go down it. Ultimately, it depends whether the player really feels like it's worth it. They can buy as many fairies as they want from Waltz and complete the questline or just leave Tilly's request unfulfilled.

"They revive a party member once their life goes out. Seems pretty useful if you're a person who likes to wait until like, the last silver to start using potions."

>Why are you bagging fairies though?
"They pushed me off as a tree as a child, nearly paralyzing me for life. Since then, I've been bagging them up."

(After talking to Tilly) Waltz the Wolf says: That Tilly fairy wants me to free the fairies? That's some tough luck for her.

>So... do we fight now or...

>Battle Waltz the Wolf.

Battle Tips: Waltz is a deadly foe on his own despite his low health. He's really sort of annoying in a way... with his high haste stats and the ability to heal after all his health is depleted, this boss fight will be hard without fairies or a lot of healing items of your own. After he uses the Fairy Heal a second time, Tilly will make him drop the rest of his fairies and free them in a move of her own bravery and leave the rest of the boss up to you. Good going, Tilly!

Welcome to Happyvile! This is, more or less the final trial of Huxxabu, which means you're approaching the second half of the game. McDon sells Magical Spherian Pops which are exclusive to this area. It should be noted that time acts weird in this area- all stocks drop and rise in a loop in this area and NPCs sometimes don't seem to recognize you. There is also a inn and a weapons shop. >What are Magic Spherian Pops?
"Ah, these popsicles are magical and they transform Spherians like myself into the vegetable or fruit it's made of! They can only transform Spherians, but you are likely to get some kind of enhancement out of eating these anyway..."

>What can you tell me about the town?
"Oh... Happyvile... it's a great town unless you break one of the rules. Wouldn't want to do that though or you'll be escorted out!"

>Let me see that Popsicle Stand.

Huxxabu - Yyburn - Happyvile - White Mage Shrine[]

In here, you will find that the White Mage Reiki has fallen ill to some kind of curse. This begins the quest to heal him and have him join your party- although to do so you will have to plunge into the Heart of Happyvile.

NPCs
WhiteMageBoteka

White Mage Boteka

>White Mage Boteka says: "Welcome to the White Mage Shrine. We aren't doing healings right now, as we're pulling our resources into one of our own. So sorry! Haha..."

>What happened?
"Reiki, one of our best healers, is under some kind of ill-minded curse that is going to kill him. We don't really know what exactly put him in this kind of danger but... we're doing everything we can."

>What can I do to help?
"Oh... I don't know. You can ask Jamg."

WhiteMageJamg

White Mage Jamg

>White Mage Jamg says: "Please mams and sir, we are not doing any healing today."

>Why not?
"Boteka seems to think he's under some kind of curse, but I don't know what's wrong with him. I'm doing what I can though..."

>What can I do to help?
"...there may be something in the Heart of Happyvile. None of the White Mages have the combat prowess to even risk going doing there but... you look well equipped. Follow me."
Jamg leads the party to a port hole.
"Past this port hole is the Heart of Happyvile... be careful."

Huxxabu - Yyburn - Heart of Happyvile Entrance[]

Entering inside the Heart of Happyvile, you'll come across various enemies as you make your way through this twisted labyrinth. You'll want to make your way to the blue tunnel that will lead you to the Heart of Happyvile Superior Vena Cava. You shouldn't have too much trouble with the enemies up ahead, but they will make your attacks less effective with their flustration effects.

Huxxabu - Yyburn - Heart of Happyvile Ventricle[]

This area features BEN, a mini-boss that stands in your way to the Heart of Happyvile Pulmonic Valve. He holds the Goddess Key which will open the Pulmonic Valve, thus defeating him is required.

Mini-Boss
BENBEN
Normal Hard Lunatic
Hit Points 310 340 360
Suggested Level 25 27 29

Skills: This Broken House of Mine (Ensnares target and bashes them inside of a cage for 20 damage each turn), Insanity Plea (Induces pity in target, boosting attack but lowering defense), KILL ME (Increases haste of target)

You Win: 4 Stardew Potions, 400 QuestCoin, Goddess Key

Battle Tips: BEN is a mini-boss with a pretty paltry amount of health, but even with that in mind he can be kind of tricky at the start if you're unprepared. With his "This Broken House of Mine" move, he can effectively damage your party for multiple turns while doing another attack. Once you get his health half way down though, he appears to help you defeat him, lowering your defense but increasing your attack with Insanity Plea, and using "KILL ME" to increase your haste. Once you defeat him, you'll get the Goddess Key, which will be needed to open up the next area.

Huxxabu - Yyburn - Heart of Happyvile Pulmonic Valve[]

Another mini-boss in the form of Fennic, White Goddess' new captive assistant, mirroring Aurora from Fantendo Smash Bros. Shattered. Some stuff never really changes, huh? Defeat her and you'll get the Phantom Crystal and access to the Heart of Happyvile Pulmonary Artery.

Mini-Boss
FennicFQ
Fennic
Normal Hard Lunatic
Hit Points 330 370 400
Suggested Level 26 28 30

Skills: Time Freeze (freezes target for three turns), Revert (undoes any damage done onto her in the last turn), Time Dilate (increases her turn period)

You Win: 4 Puke Green Potions, 600 QuestCoin, Phantom Crystal

Battle Tips: Fennic is a little tougher than BEN, although she is easier than him at the start for the most part. Fennic mostly ignores Haste buffs you might have with Time Dilate and Time Freeze, and these can't be prevented by any real means persay. Revert is actually predictable to a extent; she will only ever undo the last attack by your third party member. Keep their attacks light when you can, and you can beat her. Be sure to stock up on items that can deal a lot of damage like potions or snowflakes. You will get the Phantom Crystal, which is key to reviving Reiki and having him join the party.

Huxxabu - Yyburn - Heart of Happyvile Pulmonary Artery[]

The final boss of Happyvile and Yyburn as a whole is White Goddess under her Hestia persona. She created her own town to more or less control through infectious vibes and holds the Earthquake Shard. Now you gotta stop her.

NPCs
HestiaFQHestia Hestia says: "Surprised you mortals made it so far. I was expecting at least one of my students to fail me, but not both. Oh well... isn't Happyvile a delight? I mean, really."

>Eh... a little saccharine and dictator-y for us.
Hestia sighs. "Yeah, that's what everyone I trapped here kept saying. I don't get why they didn't see my vision in all of this, to be frank..."

>Your vision is bunk.
Hestia takes a deep long sigh. "Well, let's fight as these situations always call for it..."

(After defeating her) Hestia says: "Go away. Haven't you already embarrassed me enough?"

Boss
HestiaFQHestia
Normal Hard Lunatic
Hit Points 500 750 1000
Suggested Level 30 35 40

Skills: White Flame (deals fire damage), Last Hearth (restores 50% of boss health), and Phoenix Meteor (deals 70 damage to all party members)

You Win: 3 Stardew Potions, 4000 QuestCoin, Earthquake Nova, White Goddess Dress and White Goddess Scarf

Battle Tips: Hestia is a pretty fiery individual and can restore health using Last Hearth, however she can only do this three turns after Phoenix Meteor. Depending on where her health is, you may just want to reserve your better attacks and items for later or open everything you got. Really, timing is going to be everything you want from the battle and you'll need to keep your haste up to succeed. She doesn't have that many defensive options so if you know what you're doing, you can actually clean house pretty well.

Trivia[]

  • This game was made as a nice but small entry into what could be a franchise of games. It was meant to be self contained but also hit on areas of the Fantendoverse that had been neglected at that point.
  • The game also has an overall lighter tone than most of the Fantendoverse stuff, as audiences seemed to be mostly tired of the darker tone the recent New Fantendoverse stuff had. None of the player characters have tragic backstories or inherent pathos to them and simply serve as player characters but do have their own charm to them.
    • The game also features only alien species in it's party, as Exotoro felt that the Fantendoverse was becoming a bit too human-centric. Additionally, the game does not start on Earth, which allowed the game to explore the setting of Huxxabu more.
    • Overall, the game features some of the most stripping of what had become New Fantendoverse conventions at this point by design, as proof that the New Fantendoverse could even tell other stories.
  • It was heavily influenced by Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy and is somewhat of a return to very very old rpgs. It does away with some of the most dated artifacts of the genre though, but sticks very heavily to those roots.
  • Some had guessed this was a Fantendoverse take on Persona Q, as the only initials this game had prior to reveal was "FQ".
  • The main character's race of Siandrall was chosen via a small poll.
  • The need for all the party members to be brand new to the Fantendoverse came out of the need to keep it self contained as well as making the game feel small, as pre-existing characters as party members would have likely expanded the game's scope too much into the pre-existing Fantendoverse.
  • The party members were all planned to be gay, as Exotoro (tbc) felt there were no RPGS with openly gay party characters. These characters were decided, from the start, to be two female members and two male members.
  • Happyvile is slightly inspired by Fundale and it's super strict, totalitarian government system that often forces people to act better- for better or worse for their sanity.
  • FantendoQuest has ton of cut content. A whole page will be dedicated to it once the game finishes, but so far:
    • Collectibles, items that could be found and then resold to shops for coins, were cut from the game as it would have been too much busywork to create another class of interesting objects.
    • Florist Philis in Oasis Village was cut as the feature she would have been centered around would have been largely optional and required a lot of work. This feature was the ability to create floral beast-like monsters (called Bouquet Beasts) that the party could ride to get around quicker or access optional areas later in the game. It was suggested that Melodie Blue's flowers could have been a way to know which flowers were in which area.
    • A rematch with Anase as the Ghost Queen in the Red Ruins Colosseum was sketched out and planned but was never put in the game. The idea was that Anase would have had new art with the Ghost Queen and would have been a friendly toned rematch with the player.
