<big>Do not spam!</big> Spamming is the act of creating mass amounts of pointless content in the form of comments, pages, or etc. Comments purely made for the sake of bringing up the amount of comments to a certain number will be counted as spam too. When you comment on old blogs, do NOT make a comment for the sake of bumping it to the top of Wiki Activity; for example, try to have a meaningful contribution when you necropost and don't just point out a blog's age!

<big>Do not flame or bully other users!</big> Flaming is the act of bullying another user by sending mean or abusive messages to them. Bullying is not okay, so don't do it. This could include attacking other users with insults or harassing other users or the community itself.
<h3 class="rules">Do not vandalize.</h3>

Vandalizing is adding content to an article (or comment/blog in the case of a user with administrative powers) that you do not own. In some cases, the user adding unwanted content may not be aware of it's prohibition, and generally benefit of the doubt is given to said user; however, if the action continues, is clearly deliberate, or the content is obscene, a warning or block will be issued.

<big>Do not start/bait drama or troll maliciously!</big> Unnecessary drama is not allowed here. Do not start drama or fights for the sake of it, and don't troll other users with the intent of creating drama.
<h3 class="rules">Do not flame.</h3>

Flaming is the act of causing grief to a user. For example: insulting someone, spamming a singular user, erasing parts of profiles, etc. If you have an issue with someone, discuss it reasonably. This rule includes anything you would consider trolling.

  +
<big>Do not feed the trolls!</big> Occasionally, users may troll in order to create unnecessary drama or prompt negative responses from other users. Please ignore them, as administrators will take care of the situation themselves. In addition, do not continue drama on their wikis!
On a similar note, deliberately starting arguments will count as flaming. This can be in any form but if your specific intention was obviously to create an argument or cause tension, then you will receive a warning for it.

<big>Limit swearing outside of chat!</big> Many regular visitors to the wiki are young or may be sensitive to swearing. Swearing is fine, but please put limits on it. If swearing is overly excessive in an article, please add the template Mature.
<h3 class="rules">Do not add approval templates without being in the position to do so.</h3>

As a basic user, you cannot apply Sysop Approval or related templates to pages. Post feedback in the comments instead.

<big>Do not discriminate!</big> Do not intentionally display prejudice against any demographic. Avoid usage of derogatory terms.
<h3 class="rules">Limit swearing on blogs.</h3>

Most of the regular users and visitors here are young. Because of this, try to limit swearing especially on pages. If you have excessive swearing on an article, please use Mature. This is not a rule, it is a recommendation. You will not be banned for swearing.

<big>Do not blacklist other users!</big> Do not intentionally block out other user's messages through CSS/JavaScript/other means.
<h3 class="rules">Do not recreate deleted pages.</h3>

If your page was deleted, it was for a reason. That reason is included in the deletion summary (located at the log) and you can recreate the page once that reason is fixed. Complaining to an admin will not help you.

<big>Do not bring drama to or from other communities!</big> If the drama does not concern Fantendo, then keep it off the wiki.
<h3 class="rules">Certain discussions belong in the forum.</h3>

Do not advertise wikis outside of the Wiki Advertisement Plaza, and do not make blogs for personal question pages, weekly poll suggestions, or anything similar. Post those in the forum.

<big>Do not remove content from your talk page!</big> Unless you are moving it to an archive, do not remove anything from your talk page. This is so that administrators can easily check to see the status of a situation or your warning count.
<h3 class="rules">Do not steal content.</h3>

Stolen content will be deleted. This includes pictures, exact ideas, concepts and etc. This also includes the ideas of users from this wiki in particular as well. If a user does not give you explicit permission to use their idea or character, do not use it. Any attempt to get around this rule (by making things that are too similar intentionally) will result in a warning.

<big>Do not roleplay outside of the RP Forum!</big> The forum is there for a reason.
<h3 class="rules">No discrimination.</h3>

No intentionally discriminating against a certain demographic. This is hard to moderate, so use common sense. Avoid using derogatory terms.

<big>Do not take advantage of any revealed passwords, accidentally or otherwise!</big> You will be seriously punished for this. It is also strongly advised that you do not share your password with anybody, to prevent such an act from occurring.
<h3 class="rules">Don't post links to file downloads.</h3>

We have no way of knowing whether your link is a normal file, malware, or worse; therefore, posting these links anywhere in public is not allowed. You can, however, post links to other users in a private message on chat if they wish you to do so, but if it turns out to be something such as a virus or illegal material, you will be banned without warning.

  +
<big>Do not issue warnings unless you are an admin!</big> Administrators are the only users who can issue official warnings. You are free to message other users and tell them to stop doing something, but don't use any of the warning templates.
<h3 class="rules">Do not bring drama to or from other communities.</h3>

This will be treated as spam.

  +
<big>Do not link to illegal content!</big> We do not condone linking to websites that contain illegal content - this includes pirate/torrent websites. This will result in a warning, and if continued, a ban.
<h3 class="rules">Do not upload sexually suggestive images.</h3>

This is more based upon common sense, as someone can obviously tell if their art is sexual when it is uploaded. So, refrain from uploading images that are overly sexual. If it shows any nudity or over 90% of skin, then it will likely be deleted. Obviously artistic nudity is an exception, though it majorly depends on if the intention of the uploader or artist was to be sexual.

  +
<big>Do not vandalize!</big> Vandalizing is adding or removing content to a page that you do not own without being given explicit permission.
As stated below, warnings are important to keep one aware of the rules, and acknowledge them they shouldn't break more rules to avoid getting blocked. Removing any warnings is an act of disregarding the rules, and will be regarded as vandalism.

Likewise, removing all the text of your talk page without archiving it (usually done as an act of beginning with a "clean slate", as it's usually done when one already received warnings) will also be regarded as vandalism.

<big>Do not steal content!</big> Stolen content of any type will be deleted. This includes content from other users on the wiki, as well as content from other sources such as another website. <span style="font-weight:normal;">If a user does not give you explicit permission to use their idea or character, you may not use it.</span>
<h3 class="rules">Don't spam for badges.</h3>

Making unnecessary edits for badges is not allowed, as is doing the same to boost your edit count. Making edits to try to get badges is alright if they're good edits like adding legitimate categories (not duplicates), correcting mistakes, adding templates like the deletion or rewrite template, etc.

Warnings will be issued out by sysops and crats depending on the severity of the broken rule. All responsibility for the ban is held by the banning party unless stated otherwise. Feel free to question administration if you are unsure of anything.

Revision as of 01:18, 24 June 2020

Back to main page
This is the one-stop page for the site-wide rules of Fantendo.
Up to two warnings will be issued out by sysops and bureaucrats depending on the severity of the broken rule. After the two warnings, continuing to break a rule will result in a block. All responsibility for the block is held by the blocking party unless stated otherwise. Feel free to question administration if you are unsure of anything.

If your current block has been in place for 6 months or more, please see Fantendo:Block Appeal for information on appealing your block.
