Drill Mario is the form Mario takes when he acquires a Drill Mushroom from Super Mario Bros. Wonder, which resembles the appearance of the Spin Drill from Super Mario Galaxy 2.
When in this form, characters will equip a drill on the top of their heads with their clothing palette's switching to a grey colour. They will then have the ability to fend of enemies from above by jumping, or burrow beneath the ground or through the ceiling to get around enemies or reach hidden areas.
