Dread Kong is a member of the Evil Kings who first canonically appeared in Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat as the first boss in the game. As his name suggests, he has dreadlocks.
Dread Kong is the ruler of the Banana Kingdom, where he is fought by Donkey Kong in the treetops and much be punched multiple times to be defeated.

Dread Kong is an ape, true to his name, his hair is in dreadlocks, he has light yellow teeth and black eyes with red eyelids, he has dark brown fur with some gray fur on his wrist, he has tan skin. In terms of size, he is somewhat taller than Donkey Kong.

Dread Kong makes his playable debut in Hammer Bro Kart Racers, where he is a large Drift and Turbo Type driver who drives a kart. He features excellent speed and weight, as well as decent drift and turbo. However, he has the worst acceleration among all drivers in the game, has the third worst handling in the game in addition to having the second worst handling of any kart driver in the game, and ties with Shadow Queen for having the second worst off-road in the game. His bike driver counterpart is Funky Kong.

Dread Kong makes his Koopa Kart series debut in Koopa Kart Wii, where he can be unlocked by earning a one Star Rank or higher for all 150cc Nitro Cups for Grand Prix mode, the same method for unlocking Dry Bowser in Mario Kart Wii. He has a 7.5 off-road bonus and a 7.5 mini-turbo bonus, bringing his stat total bonus to 15. These bonuses make vehicles like the Wave Flyer and Stallion perform a bit better off the track along with getting a slightly better mini-turbo boost after a drift.
Koopa Kart 8[]
Dread Kong returns in Koopa Kart 8, where he is a default racer. He has the worst drift in the game, but also has the best off-road among all heavyweights in the game.
