The Story

Donkey Kong awoke from his palm leaf bed and looked out into the morning sky. The sun was bright, and all of Donkey Kong Island was clear and vibrant. The ocean was calm, and no storms were expected. However, a different disaster was about to strike the island...

There was a loud, whirring propeller sound that got louder every second. By the time it reached Donkey Kong, the sound was almost unbearable! "Hey look, it's that stupid ape!" a Kritter shouted, somehow above the sound. Donkey Kong was mad enough, but now he became furious and leaped onto the ship! He barreled through Kremlings, large and small, and threw the pilot out of the cockpit windshield. Donkey Kong was content with disarming this failed Kremling attack, but he had one problem...there was no pilot!

Unable to fly the ship, Donkey Kong went down with the ship and crashed into the Snowcaps! When he awoke from blacking out, he saw the most amazing thing any Kong had ever seen. An old Kremling airship was hidden inside the mountain, and contained many different little worlds. The ship's name was Kontained Region, a quite literal name. Eager to find out the secrets of this relic, Donkey Kong climbed on. "The worlds are much larger up close!" he said (in monkey sounds, of course). His voice accidentally set off an alarm! A large glass top sealed Donkey Kong inside, and then Kremlings came out from there hideaways! This ship WAS still active after all...

Now, the only escape route for Donkey Kong was to go through the worlds and unlock the door to the main room, then retract the cover!
